OK, OK, so we already had a couple of babies on the last thread, but we're going to struggle to keep up with the number of new arrivals in this one!!!

Baby Anna arrived this morning at 5.07am, four hour labour starting at 1am, had a very calm and relaxed home birth and DD woke at 8am to find her baby sister.

Am exhausted now and enjoying snuggles but will post a pic on Facebook soon!

maryellen really hope you get to go home soon, and looking forward to hearing of more births soon!

Troika · 17/02/2016 10:21

Congratulations Xing! Sounds ideal Smile

I think you were a day or two ahead of me so fingers crossed it will be me soon.

Thanks for all the support yesterday. I went back to bed and had another hour sleep after I posted which helped me feel a bit brighter. Midwife team completely uninterested, all normal, take paracetamol and have a bath and quiet day... So I guess I just need to put up with it and hope she decides to come soon.

Troika · 17/02/2016 10:24

Mary Ellen I hope you're ok

clarabellski · 17/02/2016 10:33

Congratulations xing, lovely news to wake up to !

I'm 41 + 2 today. I think I lost a good chunk of mucus plug yesterday morning but nothing has happened since. Gearing up for induction Sunday/Monday!

HandbagFan · 17/02/2016 12:04

xingxing congratulations! Flowers

41+4 here (or 40+11!). Midwife appointment this morning with another failed sweep. Induction booked for tomorrow so although it might take days I at least should have the baby at some stage over this weekend! Then the fun really begins, right?

MaryEllen1 · 17/02/2016 12:12

Congratulations everyone that's had babies since yesterday :)

Am still stuck in hospital they want to get a couple more consistent readings before letting me go home and if they do I would have to com back Friday to meet with a consultant and then they would make a decision about inducing... Here's hoping I get to go home!!

NorthernChinchilla · 17/02/2016 14:52

Congratulations Xing, what a lovely birth that sounds, and hope DD is smitten with her new sister.

Glad that you're sounding a bit brighter Troika. I really felt for you yesterday, you sounded at the end of your tether. Keep up with the paracetamol to stay on top of the pain.

Looks like with me, gone, and then handbag and possibly mary at the very least we should have another glut of babies over the next few days! We've just gone and stocked up on fruit and chocolate biscuits for the next week or so Grin

clarabellski · 17/02/2016 15:58

I had an enlightened moment when sitting on the toilet there (no 1 in case you were wondering!) - this time next week I will likely be home with a baby - eek!!! Since my due date I've been focusing on 'why haven't I gone into labour yet?!?!?!?' and forgot about the big picture. I'm now sitting here thinking 'holy crap, how am I going to be responsible for a child??????'. Ah well...Homemade flapjack is the way to go! Nothing like a sugar boost to calm the nerves Grin

cudbywestrangers · 17/02/2016 21:52

Congratulations xing wonderful news!!!

Flapjack is also a good hospital bag snack clara

Looking forward to hearing of more new arrivals soon and hope you're ok mary

NorthernChinchilla · 18/02/2016 08:25

I remember that feeling very well clara - think I had about three weeks in the third trimester where I had my head wrapped round the fact I was pregnant before it disintegrated into the 'oh my Lord there's going to be a baby!'

Currently being prepped for section, should be going down at ten. Can't wait, soooo excited Smile and also can't wait to be able to eat and drink again!

IslaMann · 18/02/2016 08:31

Good luck Chinchilla how exciting! X

MaryEllen1 · 18/02/2016 09:34

Good luck chinchilla can't wait to see pics!!

Am stuck in hospital still, had 2 good BP readings finally and have a growth scan this morning to check all ok and if it is then I am hoping to go home and they will give me a date for induction next week Grin

HandbagFan · 18/02/2016 09:57

Hi everyone! Just had the call from the hospital to say they have space for me (after calling at 7 and 8 to find they didn't) so we're off for the induction... Not sure if this will take hours or days so fingers crossed somewhere in between and this baby will finally arrive!

40+12

MidnightRun · 18/02/2016 10:07

Hello everyone! Welcome to all the lovely new babies- massive congrats, and good luck to Northern and Handbag. Hope they set you free soon Mary!

Clara I'm still in that place- EDD today and I can't quite wrap my head around the fact that in a few days I'll actually have a baby. Being pregnant was quite easy to comprehend, just can't quite make the transition!

XingXingFox · 18/02/2016 14:01

But an textbook section and recovery so far, and DD is scrumptious, even if I do say so myself!

HandbagFan · 19/02/2016 01:37

Thanks for all the good wishes. No news yet. After waiting round all day at the hospital I Jd the propess out in at half six the. Finally got agreement to leave at ten o'clock. Contractions have started but aren't established or regular yet so getting some sleep and seeing what the morning brings. Either I'll be going back in labour or back after 24hrs to repeat the propess.

Congratulations chinchilla Flowers
