OK, OK, so we already had a couple of babies on the last thread, but we're going to struggle to keep up with the number of new arrivals in this one!!!

Haquoi he is gorgeous! Congrats X

maisie I think I would have kicked him in the nuts for that!!

Last day at work today, am so ready for Mat leave to start!! Would be good to put my feet up for a couple of weeks but at the same time I want to meet the LO :)

SmashleyHop · 12/02/2016 23:47

Congrats Haquoi A little star.

Having lots of braxton hicks tonight. Not quite ready so I hope things calm down a bit. Looking forward to seeing more baby pics.

Gingergen2013 · 13/02/2016 00:59

Many congratulations to the latest new arrivals!! Due date yesterday and consultant got me booked in for an induction next Thurs that I really don't want (age related only!) Also did a very quick sweep and body has grumbled ever since. Now getting mild but definite contractions. So am crossing everything that I get to 'graduate' too very soon!! Squeeeeee!!!!

BlueKarou · 13/02/2016 01:15

So many babies arriving! Congrats to all mums of new arrivals!

For the second night in a row, insomnia has hit and brought with it some persistent BH. Nada all day, but once I get relaxed in bed they strike. Does this mean labour's anywhere near? Or can I look forward to another two weeks of pre-labour uterine practice? EDD is Tuesday and will be seeing MW, so will find out how nearly there she thinks I am. Don't particularly want to have baby this weekend as it's a close family member's birthday on Sunday and I irrationally want kiddo to have his own birthday rather than sharing with someone else, so I'm hoping to get through the next two days - he can come any time after the 15th!

Today was officially my last day of work, but have been on annual leave for three weeks, so the only impact it makes is that my salary drops by 10% for the next 18 weeks, before hitting rock bottom when SMP kicks in.

clarabellski · 13/02/2016 09:50

Purely anedoctal blue but I've been experiencing sleepless nights with BHs for the past 2 weeks, sorry!!!

40+5 today.

OP posts:
XingXingFox · 13/02/2016 11:55

No BH here but nausea and insomnia for about two weeks. I'm so so tired today. 40+1. Growth scan showing she's 8lbs 7 already Shock she better be on her way soon! Though she's not engaged yet. Next midwife appt at 41+1 and an induction will be booked then, which is prefer to avoid but not sure I'll be able to!

NorthernChinchilla · 13/02/2016 12:00

Tell me about it blue- half the reason OH and I split the nine months' mat leave is because of the pitiful level of SMP. As I'm the main earner we can't afford for me to be on it at all Sad

You must be ready to pop soon clara given the time and BH.
I've had random BH here and there, and the odd set of contractions, for a sodding month now- I remember the date it all started- sorry to be utterly depressing for those on the waiting game Confused!

MidnightRun · 13/02/2016 13:24

Congratulations haq what a gorgeous little button!! Thanks

I'm so fed up.. Some days I'm feeling totally down in the dumps like baby will never arrive, then other days I feel like Iv got loads of energy! Today I just feel really clingy.. Wanting to be next to DH at every moment, I'm not usually touchy feely at all! Today is the date Iv had in my head since finding out I was expecting.. Has anyone else just had a date stick out to them that wasn't EDD?

Also had a day trip planned today but the boiler stopped working so we've had to stay in for a plumber instead, thinking its a sign I was to stay at home :p

monkerina · 13/02/2016 16:04

Midnight, I've been convinced that the 21st is the day for us rather than EDD of the 18th- mostly because of when I think I ov'd though, which isn't quite in sync with the NHS's measurement!

Must be the day for dodgy central heating- we've had a leak this morning in the kitchen ceiling, have spent the afternoon taking up floorboards with DFIL to try to find it... he's returning with an endoscope tomorrow to investigate further. Really hope it gets found and fixed immediately, really don't want to spend those precious few days with DH, DS and DPlumber hanging out with us! Confused

XingXingFox · 13/02/2016 17:17

midnight I had the 7th which obviously didn't happen, but now the 16th is in my mind. You never know, there's still time today!

my EDD was the 14th and then got changed to 12th so I also have that in mind!

HandbagFan · 13/02/2016 18:31

41 weeks today, still no sign.

I thought he'd come on Jan 30th so a really long time ago...

MidnightRun · 13/02/2016 20:36

Our heating sparked back in to life about an hour before the plumber was due.. But by then we had already cancelled our plans, very very strange! Monk hope you got things sorted! Boilers.. Who needs them! But we definitely all need plumbers :p

Been having strong BH all day.. And Iv just discovered a serious black hair on my chin! Proper beard hair! But I know for a fact it wasn't there 2 days ago! Gross!

NorthernChinchilla · 13/02/2016 22:36

I've just had a slightly manic 'nesting' session (because what you really want to be doing on a Saturday night is chocolate-coating home made truffles and piles of washing up, followed by Duplo arranging Hmm) but think that's just me being odd and not indicative of anything!

I had a horrible feeling it would be V-day midnight, bloody hope not!

BlueKarou · 13/02/2016 23:19

I've been too focused on the dates I didn't want him to arrive to think about when I reckon he'll get here! There are too many family birthdays in Feb, but he had better not wait until March!!!

I've booked my grocery delivery for the 16th, my EDD, in the hopes of tempting fate. Also I've ordered a naice steak and some brie, so I very much hope he comes soon, so I can treat myself. (Although I've had both brie and steak during this pregnancy - am a terrible incubator!)

My best friend visited yesterday with her children, which was lovely. A little exhausting - I napped most of this morning to recover from the exertion. She did leave me a huge box of baby clothes, which was the icing on the cake after a good day.

goldmaple · 14/02/2016 03:23

Baby gold arrived this morning. Everything went well and we are home!!

I had an attempted sweep yesterday (GP said that she couldn't do one because my cervix was too closed). But waters broke at midnight (after 10 days of random contractions/BH) and everything went pretty smoothly! Third time was a charm:)

Best of luck to all the ladies still waiting!

haquoi123 · 14/02/2016 04:05

Congratulations gold!! Fantastic news! Postnatal thread:

Thanks for all the compliments. He's very q quiet but turning into a little rascal - been cluster feeding since 8pm and won't be put down at night (day time doesn't seem to be a problem). I'm exhausted. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!!

XingXingFox · 14/02/2016 07:48

Congratulations gold! Amazing!

I wonder if we'll have any Valentine's babies?!

XingXingFox · 14/02/2016 07:49

Sorry to hear your exhausted hacquoi my DD did that for the first few weeks, it's so hard Flowers

MaisieDotes · 14/02/2016 07:53

Yay gold congratulations!! Smile Flowers

So glad you had an straightforward birth!

Troika · 14/02/2016 08:57

Congratulations Haquoi and gold. Haquoi sounds as though you got the birth you wanted, hope it was a healing experience for you. Ds2 is absolutely gorgeous, hope your milk comes in soon so he cuts down the feeding frenzy.

Spent all day Friday in hospital with suspected pre eclampsia. Turned out to not be but they ran lots of tests to try and find out what was wrong with me. Even had a ct scan! Having ruled out other possibilities they suspect migraine. Still have headache and feel sick but the excruciating pain has gone at least.

EDD today. In a foul mood. Both dc I went into labour at 39+6 so although I am not overdue yet I feel as though I am. Doesn't help that I haven't slept due to being uncomfortable, and that I feel so rubbish with the headache and nausea. Just thoroughly fed up. Feeling quite restless today but I suspect that is my bad mood rather than a sign of anything.

clarabellski · 14/02/2016 09:30

Congratulations gold - glad the rimming helped!!!! Grin I hope you're enjoying lots of snuggles with your valentine's day arrival!

Flowers troika I hope you feel better now

I had the best night's sleep I've had in a fortnight last night, and that was after a 2 hour nap yesterday afternoon! Shock Ah well, getting it in while I can! Cluster feeding doesn't sound like much fun haq

OP posts:
XingXingFox · 14/02/2016 11:33

troika that sounds rubbish! Poor you. I had a migraine yesterday and the midwife was here but luckily my other signs showed it wasn't PE. You must be so fed up! I really hope you're LO sounds up soon!

SmashleyHop · 14/02/2016 14:34

Congrats Gold!

Due date is today.. Doesn't look like anything will happen though. Which is fine considering I'm getting a sweep tomorrow. I am being very paranoid about movements though. I kept waking up all night last night and pushing on her to see if she'd move a bit. Think I'm ready to have her here just to alleviate my fears.

HandbagFan · 14/02/2016 16:46

41+1 today... No sign so off to the cinema. Will be the 4th time I've been in the last few weeks on the basis it could be our last time for a long time!

clarabellski · 14/02/2016 17:20

I do this as well smashley, particulary in the wee small paranoid hours! Blush
