OK, OK, so we already had a couple of babies on the last thread, but we're going to struggle to keep up with the number of new arrivals in this one!!!

we couldn't co sleep - both very selfish if there is a chance of gaining an inch in bed!

Had a shite day. Woke at 4.30 am and couldn't get back to sleep - noted bubs a bit subdued. Did the old cold drink, lie on left etc and at 6 seemed to start moving properly so went back to sleep.

Then grossly overslept - woke at 11.30 - had a bowl of cornflakes and noted no response from bubs again. So round and round we go - didn't really move despite bath etc so off we went to Triage.

Seven shades of hell - not actually triaged for 2+ hours just sat in waiting room. Then 40 minutes in a room just to get BP and hear heart beat (hearing it helps I guess).

Another 1+ hour wait to get connected to a CTG - finally get on the monitor at about 18.30 and initially still not a lot of movement. Thinking I'm gonna get admitted at this point - moved 4 times in half an hour (which is really not a lot for this monster).

Sent husband off to move car at which point had what I presume is my first realish contraction - totally different to BH, took my breath away, CTG went from 6% to 35% & had to actually breathe through it - lasted a couple of minutes.

Child went batshit crazy - pulse 170 and kicked about 20 times in next 10 minutes. Clearly doesn't fancy being evicted at all. Has since been merrily kicking the crap out of me, so I got to go home, but they want me back tomorrow for more monitoring. Didn't get in till 9pm so a whole day wasted and probably the same again tomorrow

Pregnancy really does give you a range of interesting ways to waste your time....

Hi all!

Just to let you know, DS was born on Thursday night by EMCS, 7lb 4oz and a little beauty.

Picture is on the FB group if you want a look!

Newlywed123 · 31/01/2016 05:40

Congrats Murloc Flowers

Sorry for the early hours post! Been up all night with contractions, managed to drift off inbetween. My back is definitely feeling it and is super achy. Don't know what my bloody body is playing at! Feel like it's never going to happen.

Troika · 31/01/2016 09:34

Congratulations Murloc Smile

Madsaz hopefully today will be less of a mission. How has the movement been overnight and so far this morning?

Newlywed you must be getting so frustrated now Cake

madsaz76 · 31/01/2016 09:45

Morning all.

Congratulations murdoch Flowers

I haven't joined facebook group - presume because avoiding all things pregnancy on there. May have to work out how to s3nd a message to join.

Baby is back to normal since last night so back to totally selfish kevin the teenager stuff I. E. They can't give me a time just have to go back an queue. Waiting when you are worried is ok, think I will be a monster today Sad

Newlywed I would be in full on self pity mode by now. Sounds horribly frustrating. I'm like a broken record but loving my TENS machine for my backache. .....

haquoi123 · 31/01/2016 10:29

Congratulations murloc!

mad really glad to hear that baby is moving loads, although I'm with you on hospital waits. Take a good book?

newlywed I feel for you, really do! Hurry up baby! How're you feeling now?

Nada here. More bh yesterday but nothing interesting. Begun to feel like it's not going to happen even though I know I've got another 3 weeks before I'm actually overdue. 39+1

How're you holding up maisie? Anyone else reached due date yet?

MaisieDotes · 31/01/2016 10:33

Congrats murloc! Flowers

Hi haq I'm deliberately not posting much as I'm a bit of a misery guts right now!

40+4 today- I've been having strong BHs every night for the last forever, and go to bed each time expecting to be woken by stronger pains later on but no! Wake each morning as normal.

Groundhog Day!

XingXingFox · 31/01/2016 10:43

Congrats murloc so exciting!

madsaz that sounds really frustrating and worrying, really hope the baby starts moving around a lot now.

I'm starting to feel a bit fed up and I'm only 38+2, I think its because so many babies have arrived in January and it starts to get your mind whirring. Also people are starting to send messages asking if anything has happened and it could be three weeks yet! I echo the poster who said that I am now just ready for the next stage even though I know I'll look back on this time as a time of great calm before the madness. I am also enjoying spending as much time as I can with DD1 as we'll never be the gang of two again, and I find that so hard to get my head around!

Rufus200 · 31/01/2016 11:27

madsaz so glad baby is moving ok for you

newly and maisie sorry it is taking so long for things to properly start going

I had a very difficult conversation with DH last and made him cry! It was the 1st time in 10 years I have ever seen a tear from him!!! We had to go through my wishes if anything went wrong with my surgery, better to do it before hand then on the morning when I will be very scared already.

Counted my lumps last night, I have at least 9! I am going to be so sore underneath once all of those are cut off!

Just over 12 hours to go and then everyone will be having February babies!

birdbrain21 · 31/01/2016 11:36

Wow a lot has been happening on here since I last checked in been too busy cuddling and feeding my little princess who arrived at 5:08 am last Wednesday morning. Was thankfully all quite straightforward will post details another time but just a reminder to those of you waiting around practice your deep breathing I never did with my first but did this time and made a massive difference to controlling what was going on!

haquoi123 · 31/01/2016 11:57

Congratulations birdbrain!! :) I'll keep the deep breathing in mind, thanks for that.

rufus it's scary isn't it? I haven't sat DH down properly but do occasionally come out with plans for if I don't make it. I'm not sure he takes it seriously...

birdbrain21 · 31/01/2016 13:08

Haquoi I listened to a free hypnobirthing track online mindful hypnobirthing ebury publishing and considering I never heard the end of it as always fell asleep made a massive difference I only panicked when it came to pushing last time I panicked all the way through from the first contraction!

haquoi123 · 31/01/2016 14:26

That's brilliant news birdbrain thanks for that! I've been worrying a little that I'm getting annoyed with my hypnobirthing cd so it's good to know it all sinks in :)

Rufus200 · 31/01/2016 16:36

Congrats murloc and birdbrain

DH has asked that we have an Indian takeaway with his family tonight. I said yes and now have realised that an Indian is not a good idea! I can't eat rice so end up eating a lot of spicy veg to fill up and that has very bad consequences down below! I think the last thing anyone in theatre needs is me having no control of down there and gassing them all out or worse! Need to have a think what I can take round for dinner instead, I would kill for a dominos but that is a big no no with GD.

Having weird nesting needs, been vacuuming out the car!

Troika · 31/01/2016 17:40

Haha Rufus I wouldn't worry too much, those that go the non theatre route often end up shitting everywhere (I certainly did with dc1!) so a bit of gas is nothing Wink

Newlywed123 · 31/01/2016 19:40

Quick update.. baby is here! Healthy little girl Letti Sarah-Bella Grin.

Rung Triage about 6.15 after 45 minutes of contractions every 2-5 minutes. They told me to slowly make my way in as they don't think I'll be ready. Arrived at 7.15, took them an hour to put me into a room to be examined. At 8.15 I was 6/7cm! Got into the pool around 9. I was sat in there until 11 contractions stopped so got out to help speed them up which didn't work. Got back in the pool around 11.50. They said they wanted to break my waters but didn't think I had dilated further. So they reexamined me at 12.15 and I was 10cm! They broke my waters no contractions for over 5 minutes until I stood up! I felt a big pop, next second I was pushing and babies head was coming. They managed to get me into the pool just as the head came out. The shoulders got stuck so they had to pull her head to help get her out. She came out purple and in shock so they had to give her a rub down but she's perfectly fine! Arrived at 12.33 weighing 7lb 7oz Grin

Already home, her big sister is extremely happy! She's gorgeous!!

Troika · 31/01/2016 19:45

Rufus200 · 31/01/2016 21:11

Congrats newley

Pissed off with DH for multiple reasons tonight. We go round to ILS, as we are standing outside waiting for someone to answer the door I ask him if any one is sick in the house. He says no. We walk in MIL promptly says she is sick and not to go near her. DH ignores this and goes and hugs her, knowing full well that I've not seen my mum is over a week to not risk getting infected. Then he leaves me there while all the men go and get the takeaway as there isn't enough room in the car, it's my fucking car!!! Plus I'm now having a high BG as he got Chinese which always sends me over. I'm supposed to be having a really low few sugar days to try and stop baby having hypos when he is born! Then I ask can MIL feed the cats tomorrow onwards to which DH says he isn't staying at my mums's and he expects me to get up an extra 2hrs early on c-section day to drive up to London instead of just staying in London when we have a hospital appt there tomorrow afternoon anyway. SELFISH ARSEHOLE!!!

MaryEllen1 · 31/01/2016 21:15

Congratulations newlywed

haquoi123 · 31/01/2016 21:49
