OK, OK, so we already had a couple of babies on the last thread, but we're going to struggle to keep up with the number of new arrivals in this one!!!

Rufus, like Maisie says, is it in the areola? If so I have tons of the buggers and have done since week 5- they're Montgomery tubercles >> en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Areolar_glands If not, no idea, sorry Grin

Haquoi you sound just like me Smile noone's mentioned induction yet (other than my NCT lot being desperate to get their births underway), I'm just stressing myself out in advance- def contrary to hypnobirthing principles!!

HandbagFan · 28/01/2016 17:01

Back from the midwife... BP now fine, no more weight gain so 10lbs up in total, no protein in my wee, bump measuring 39cm, 3/5 engaged, and heartbeat still fine. Next appointment (with optional sweep) set for when I would be 40+4, so very much hoping not to be going back there!

The countdown continues...

Rufus200 · 28/01/2016 17:55

No red bump is outside pigmented area. Managed to squeeze it and a hard white lump came out, nothing like pus. Weird because normally whiteheads that are solid don't form that quickly. Normally only old spots go solid like that.

Survived another day of being home alone. Tomorrow is my last day on my own but I've got my check up so at least will find out what cervix is doing again. I get so bored cooped up in the house, sad that a trip to the Dr is my excitement for the day but I guess I should get used to it.

MidnightRun · 28/01/2016 21:38

Despite having gone to the loo 6 times in the last hour I'm 100% if I move in the wrong way I'm going to wet myself! And Iv got hot daggers low down and a sore back!

Everyone else here so ready to give birth! :p

haquoi123 · 28/01/2016 22:02

My DH just sent me this www.buzzfeed.com/morganshanahan/16-very-important-texts-from-your-fetus#.qcWPK8XEX

goneswimming · 28/01/2016 22:10

Baby is very busy tonight! He's had a long day with several scans and a trainee midwife poking at him- he's still resolutely upside down and we have an ecv booked for Tuesday.

Rufus200 · 28/01/2016 22:12

An offer on bottles at Aldi, not seen it myself so can't confirm

madsaz76 · 28/01/2016 22:44

goneswimming good luck with that. Best I can say is be as relaxed as you can be!

rufus we popped to aldi today - lots of stuff. Got one of those nappy disposal systems for £9. Chepatitis moses baskets, stands and lightweight buggies. Worth a look for anyone on a budget or just the break the boredom up.

Plus discovered some fruit based snack bars - raspberry and cranberry I think - gorgeous and going into maternity bag for snacks Smile

madsaz76 · 28/01/2016 22:45

My god the phone is definitely winning - Chepatitis = cheap not liver badness with an added c!

Rufus200 · 29/01/2016 03:42

Started having contractions just before 3 am, on my 4th one now. No mistaking them in comparison to period pain. So much more intense and covering whole area with most pain underneath. If don't stop soon will have to call Dr and go to hospital. Slightly alarmed how close together they already are. Thought I might just get an odd one to begin with.

Rufus200 · 29/01/2016 04:49

Not had a contraction since that last one but in near constant pain, period and lower back. Decided to have a bath and then realised that there is no hot water in the house at 4am so having to wait for it to heat up! Everytime baby goes near my cervix, he sets off stabbing pain. Hoping the hot water will help relax everything.

Tip - turn your hot water on when you have your 1st contraction

RattyCatty · 29/01/2016 06:53

How are you now rufus? Any more contractions?

Rufus200 · 29/01/2016 07:14

Nothing proper but uterus feels bruised and painful if that makes sense. Everytime baby moves it hurts. Had paracetamol and heat pack. Just spoke to Dr who doesn't want to see me until my appt at 12.30. Been told to have breakfast now and then nothing else. Think my Dr is going to have a very busy weekend, she has 4 other ladies due this weekend.

XingXingFox · 29/01/2016 07:20

Good luck for Tuesday gone hope he turns!

Keep us posted rufus hope you're feeling okay now!

Hospital bag finally packed, I'm ready when she is! 38 weeks today and counting!

Rufus200 · 29/01/2016 07:31

More Tommee Tippee offers, boots this time.

haquoi123 · 29/01/2016 08:06

rufus hang in there. When is your c-section?

mad I thought chepatits (sorry, that misspelling has to stay - chepatitis) was a cool new way of saying cheap as shit.

gone sorry to hear baby hasn't turned. How're you feeling about the evc? Best of luck

Exciting fox!

I had bh all yesterday and one painful one last night. That's it. All those who don't want to go into labour yet for various reasons, send them to me! I'm ready! 39 weeks tomorrow

How're you doing newlywed? Any more surges?

MaisieDotes · 29/01/2016 08:26

Grin haquoi I thought that too about chepatitis!

I was staring at the word for ages and thinking "is that like Monday-itis or something?"

Grin

rufus I hope everything subsides. I want to have a bath before I go to the hospital so I've had the water on since about Xmas just in case Grin

Mawsymoo · 29/01/2016 09:45

Good call on the baths. Hope all goes well for you rufus. maisie I hope things happen for you over the weekend. You've missed rush hour traffic now til Monday anyway (positive thinking that baby will be here before then!) - that was something I worried abouthat (luckily only took us 20 mins to get there at 4am!)

Newlywed123 · 29/01/2016 09:57

I've just posted this on pregnancy. Was wondering if any of you ladies could help or relate? Sorry for TMI Blush

I've been having ALOT OF green stringy discharge. Has anyone else had this? Could it still be my plug coming away? I had the midwife Wednesday afternoon so I know it isn't a UTI. Consultant asked if my discharge was normal and I said yes for some reason (had a really hectic day so was exhausted).. No excuse really.

It started Wednesday night. Sorry for TMI but every time I go to the toilet there is ALOT of it it green and stringy, takes me a at least 3 wipes to clear it up. What could it be?

haquoi123 · 29/01/2016 10:03

Green?? I think you need to call the midwife asap about that if I'm honest newlywed. Definitely mucus plug but I don't think it should be green...

Newlywed123 · 29/01/2016 10:07

Definitely green and disgusting. I can't keep up with it Blush

I musnt of been listening properly when my consultant asked yesterday!

Rufus200 · 29/01/2016 10:33

newlywed if you google mucus plugs, there are a range of lovey images of normal and there is definitely a disgusting green one in there. I found most of them quite horrifying. I would still call your midwife though.

haquoi c-section isn't until Tuesday, that is a fucking long wait in this much pain!!! The whole point of the ELCS was that I am a major wuss who can't cope with pain and didn't want to experience any of labour!

haquoi123 · 29/01/2016 10:43

Ah, just Googled it too newlywed and a lot of people saying green is Ok...

rufus Flowers

Newlywed123 · 29/01/2016 10:50

Need to call trisge now anyway. Just feel down a few stairs holding my 20mo. My feet slipped whacked my lower back pretty hard. Got a shaken up daughter who won't stop cuddling me Sad

New it was going to be a bad day!

haquoi123 · 29/01/2016 11:05
