What a rubbish nights sleep :(
Slept from 9-11 then was up until 3 despite being calm and up at 4,5,6 for the toilet. So tired and now got work. I want to cry. I remained calm but it just didn't work I don't understand. Is this life from now on?

scaredmum2be · 04/01/2016 06:57

Oh and lovely photos missi x

docmcstuffins1 · 04/01/2016 07:30

Indom it was from Mama Natural. Got the crib, mattress and mattress protector for £189 so not massive saving but it's the 1st time I've seen it with any reduction!

Crispylicious · 04/01/2016 08:25

missi such beautiful pics. The one of him with your finger shows how tiny he is, but perfectly formed. And go Zach latching! That's amazing!

I too have the snoozepod, ordered with a friend's mothercare discount. Think we'll construct it in Feb. It is pricy but I'll do anything for a good nights sleep this time!

I can't remember who else was suffering with indigestion but me too. Are the meds working? Mine is worst at night. I'm going to beg the GP for some meds, as it's really disrupting my sleep. I know they class it as a minor ailment, but I don't want to be a sleep deprived mess before the baby arrives!

Loving the bump pics, which are making me feel like my humongous bump may actually be normal for this stage!

I'm a 2nd time mum, but still doing nct. I signed up for a refresher course, but it was cancelled, so was offered the full course. We're fairly new to the area, so thought it'd be a nice way to meet people.

indom I regularly have an achey bump. I think it's a mixture of bloating/baby in an odd position/pelvic pain. I've found things much more achey this time round, probably due to the huge 2 year old I have to lug about!

scared sorry about the crap sleep. You will get through this - not long to go now! X

First day back at work Sad but less than 2 months left, yay!

hayleycookie · 04/01/2016 09:00

A moment of silence for all of us back to work today...... Here's hoping the day is easy, and the hours fly by! Chocolate and Brew for us all!

Missi Glad to hear Zach is doing so well! I can't believe he's latching already - what a champ! Hope he doesn't get another infection. Fingers crossed for you both.

Scared You sound like you're doing much better :) Sleep will come, try not to worry too much about it.

I've had the Snuzpod flatpacked in the cupboard under the stairs for a while, and a now toying with assembling it but know it will just take up unnecessary room and probably end up a dumping ground until closer to D-day. When is everyone planning on assembling and getting beds ready?

maybebabybee · 04/01/2016 09:07

Been back at work approximately 35 minutes and already struggling - soooo glad I start maternity leave at the end of January! Last day in the office is 29 January and I'm counting down the days.

I always get mildly perplexed by people who say they get bored at home - I'd quite happily never work again if I could get paid for it Grin

missi lovely pictures!

TriJo · 04/01/2016 09:08

In work at 8:30... 8:55 another really horrible dizzy spell arrives. Fuck everything. Thought blood pressure was supposed to bottom out around 24 weeks...

Paperblank · 04/01/2016 09:16

I'm back to work tomorrow, then doing 2 weeks ft and 2 weeks pt before finishing! On countdown now....

I have been trying to get on top of our washing (built up a bit over christmas) and washed one of our old dark grey towels ready for my hospital bag. Bloody DH only went and used it for his shower!! WHY? WHY?

marmiteandcheeseplease · 04/01/2016 09:39

another one struggling with work this morning! stupid head cold is making things so much more difficult... yesterday I felt awful and was hoping cold had peaked but my sinuses are hurting so much today and paracetamol just isn't cutting it! I also have my whopping cough jab this morning and am not looking forward to a sore arm afterwards Sad

vroc81 · 04/01/2016 10:11

I started my working day earlier than intended when I realised I had failed to drop the work van back for the graduate at 7am.. went home again briefly and still forgot my notebook which would tell me everything I didn't get finished before Christmas.. I think I might have to resort to caffeinated coffee today. To everyone else back today hope its not going too badly!

Lovely pictures Missi I hope he isn't brewing another infection but sounds like a little trooper.

Marmite I had my WC jab last week and despite getting a lump on my arm (which the MW told me was due to the Tetanus bit of the jab) i have felt fine with no effects - they might not let you have it if you are feeling rough though they checked how I was before she jabbed me.

I'm doing NCT - we're with mid March to Mid April people as the mid Feb to mid March was full.. If she makes an early appearance or they decide at my next scan she is coming out earlier then we won't be doing the last NCT class - although a friends partner recently went along to their last one to let the others know the baby had been born that morning!

Ages ago I rolled over last years holiday days to go down to four days from this week but I'm still feeling ok at the moment and wondering to leave it a few weeks and see if i want to do 3 day weeks at the end instead - I do appreciate that I am very lucky to have felt this good and keep waiting for it to bite me on the bum!

BeautifulLiar · 04/01/2016 11:00

Marmite - good luck today but do mention you feel ill. I had mine last week and didn't and I've felt awful ever since :( probably not related but I did have a v sore arm for three frigging days!

Paper - sorry but that made me lol. Men are so dumb!! My dad is a top consultant and still used to do the stupidest things. I "rescued" a wild rat once and he thought it was one my pet guinea pigs and started stroking it. Wow I've gone off on a tangent there! Anyway I hope your lovely new towel is ok and you gave DH what for.

Missi - I just can't get over how "big" Zach looks!! He's doing so well, but fingers crossed there won't be an infection.

Sorry to hear about everyone's shitty first days back at work. I'm back at "work" tomorrow i.e. back to school runs, swimming lessons, beavers and making sure the children look presentable Blush

Just at the hospital waiting for my umpteenth scan. I know they're looking after me and that's great but I'm so sick of coming here, waiting for hours (they're NEVER on time), being told the same thing then sent home. I'm exhausted when I get home and at the minute I feel sick/faint/dizzy too, and keep coughing, and dripping snot. Nice. Anyway I'll update if/when I ever get out of here...

Paperblank · 04/01/2016 11:44

Beautiful he's a tit - its a good job I love him Smile. You sound like you're coming down with the lurgy, make sure you rest up.

I'm just about to blitz the lounge and get it back to its pre Christmas state. I need the nesting instinct to kick in!

marmiteandcheeseplease · 04/01/2016 11:50

Just wrote a long post on the walk back from the doctors and my phone ran out of battery Angry. oh well! WC jab was fine - more painful than my flu jab a few weeks ago but I think there is just a huge amount of variation in how good nurses are at administering injections! I told the nurse that I had a head cold but she said as long as I wasn't feverish it would be fine. I am fully expecting a sore arm for days as when I had my WC jab when pregnant with DD I remember being in agony for about four days! I ended up googling it to see if it was normal (it is). I didn't get any other side effects last time but slightly worried I will this time as my immune system is low fighting this cold Sad.

beaut sorry to hear you are having to put up with more waiting in hospitals. It's so annoying how they are always late - when I had an appointment at the hospital last month with an anesthetist to review what happened with my epidural during DDs birth (which didn't take completely), the appointment was at 8.30. First appointment and they were 15 minutes late!! Hope your scan goes well anyway.

missi thanks for the update on Zach - amazing pictures and am in awe that he has latched on already. Fingers crossed for your successful future BF relationship Grin

Not doing NCT this time as the refresher course was for Jan-March births and I thought that was a little too wide a gap. There were 6 or 7 weeks between first and last baby from my NCT group and I think it contributed to us not really gelling much. Though I also had the problem that I went back to work at 6 months, one of the NCT mums left the country, and the other moved house! however, I still keep in touch with two of the mums and see them once or twice a month, which is pretty good going seeing as we are back at work. I don't regret doing it as even though I didn't keep in touch with all of them very well, during the first few months knowing other women in the same situation as me kept me sane during the insane night wakings!

hayleycookie · 04/01/2016 11:58

I agree with everyone else Marmite. Tell them you feel a bit rough. They made a point of asking me how I felt, but then went on to explain it wasn't a live virus and there shouldn't be any side effects. Worth mentioning though. I had mine NYE morning and my arm is STILL sore today!

Beautiful Ugh just hearing about it makes me feel rubbish. It must be horrible having to do that so often, as well as feeling poorly. I hope you start to feel better soon. Look after yourself as well as your little family. You're really important!

Paper My nesting kicked in over Christmas which was very inconvenient! Had a little cry Christmas evening because of the mess everywhere. I even got the ump because someone left a bottle of shower gel in the shower tray instead of putting it back in the cupboard Blush Nesting is handy, but the level I get it to is pretty much OCD! Careful what you wish for lol

magpiedreams · 04/01/2016 12:14

Go Zach! Clever thing. Well done missi, you seem so strong.

beautiful I hope your placenta is defying the doctors and droplets look good today.

crispy - I'm taking regular ranitidine, Gaviscon does nothing. I'm just buying it from the supermarket but had it from GP in last pregnancy. See the GP...they won't mind at all. Also an extra pillow helps me at night and a drink of milk.

Everyone else...eugh to work. I had 2w off and back today. Only work part time though and just counted I only have 17days in work left. 16 after today. Count up the days...once you take out any days off / weekends etc it might not look so bad!

Paperblank · 04/01/2016 12:21

I'm dreadful when I've cleaned. I get ragey about drops of water left on the kitchen work tops, cups left in the lounge, I'm sure DH is scared sometimes.

I love it when my house is immaculate and I know I am going to have to get over this...it ain't gonna happen with a baby!

You're all scaring me about the WC jab!! I'm having mine in a few days, I will put my big girl pants on and try and be brave Smile

Next job is coming up with some ideas for freeze ahead meals - I need to have a look through my cook books for some inspiration.

Paper I had my WC jab before Christmas and it didn't hurt at all. Slightly sore arm that evening, gone by the time I woke up the next morning. My flu jab left me with a sore arm for a few days though so I think it's different for everyone.

I was at work last week so today hasn't felt as painful as it probably has for some. I'm definitely counting down though now we're this side of Christmas. 7 weeks of full time work - 35 days!

scaredmum2be · 04/01/2016 13:10

Thanks everyone, struggling today on so little sleep. Shaking hands and feel very sick. Feel hung over without the drink the night before. Think I'm gonna have to take my mat leave earlier as I can't physically function. Dreading tonight incase I don't sleep as legs feel very restless today.

Sorry to everyone suffering today :(
Beaut- hope scan goes well and you feel better soon must be so hard with three other dc

QforCucumber · 04/01/2016 14:17

scared hope you can get yourself a nap when you finish this afternoon, I'm not sleeping well at night so grabbing as much naptime on the sofa as possible and DP is under strict instruction not to wake me!

beautiful really hope things went well at the hospital today.

WC jab was supposed to be last Monday, but I completely forgot about it and rang today to rebook so it's now on Thursday this week instead oops.

1st day back at work here too, it's killing me - break up on the 12th Feb, 5 weeks on Friday and counting down the days definitely.
Am in the middle of a level 4 NVQ so just going to spend most of the next 5 weeks trying to get through as many assignments as humanly possible so that I don't have to worry as much while I'm off.

QforCucumber · 04/01/2016 14:19

ref the nesting, DP told me off because on NYE daytime I decided it was a GREAT idea to redecorate the downstairs bathroom, it took me about 4 hours as it's only small and I felt so relaxed after doing it that DP apologised and agreed it does look good (just need him to change the light fitting now ha)

Rosieblossom123 · 04/01/2016 15:22

Wow I'm am super struggling today, I feel awful, my sleep is getting worse every night now my legs are so restless Sad

Got my WC booked for Friday along side my 31 week mw app. My mw told me at my last appointment that baby is sitting very low and that's why I'm feeling lots of pressure but I think it's getting worse defo need a back support belt or something :(

Beautiful I hope it went well at the hospital Flowers

Q I break up on the 12th Feb too, can't wait, not long Grin

scared I feel your pain hun my sleep is so rubbish at the moment and I'm always feeling tired and rough Sad

maybebabybee · 04/01/2016 16:15

Just had my WC jab. Barely felt it to be honest, the nurse at my GP is ace. Weird though as now my arm is aching - but it's the opposite arm to the one that was injected, what's that all about!!!

vroc81 · 04/01/2016 17:43

Maybe I think that might be your imagination playing tricks on you!

I've been waking up in the night from lying on either arm and giving myself pins and needles - I flip over and then repeat the experience the other way round, anyone got any suggestions for how to avoid it.? sleeping with my arms in the air or something? Today is the first time i have noticed it not go completely in my left hand finger tips

Beautiful hope the hospital appointment went well.

maybebabybee · 04/01/2016 18:05

Vroc I think you're right Grin

scaredmum2be · 04/01/2016 18:23

Rosie I feel for you. How much sleep did you get last night ? Got home and tried for 20 minutes to nap. Nothing despite 4 hours ish broken sleep last night. Very upset and tearful tonight. How have women done this time and time again for years?
It's a bloody miracle we are not extinct.
I hope u get some much needed rest tonight. At the moment if I sleep four hours straight it's like heaven. Although I seem to see every hour of every night at the moment :(
