Ohh Angry remembered I had to sort car insurance out and have lost the big post I was constructing as I was reading.

It went something along the lines of: sympathy, sympathy, reassurance, car envy, cat-based sympathy & sharing of cat-woe (she seemed ill, seems better now, clearly terrified of DS and none too pleased about the prospect of another. But sleeping on the clean washing is making her happier!).

vroc - lol! I ask myself the same thing!

Rosie, we don't have a finished nursery. We never really finished DSs room and now we've moved him into the bigger one which also needs painting. OctoBaby will (hopefully) go in with him at some point in the summer.
Glad to see Suz and marmite are the same.

Re: mucus (yum!), just to throw a spanner in the works, I never had a 'bloody show' with DS. Went to the loo and spotted the green snot and thought "ooh, must be mucus plug". Washed hands, went to make a cup of tea and had first contraction. (I was 40+3).

I need to do some marking and go to bed early. Had hoped to be in bed by 9, but that's looking unlikely now!

App says 58 days to go. And helpfully "you are finding it difficult to get the sleep you need", yeah, no shit app. Thanks for the insight!

Rosieblossom123 · 25/01/2016 21:05

Mynameis I just googled it and it said it could be baby putting pressure on cervix so might just be that. It's horrible I agree.

Mship one of my cats is very shy so might try feliway actually.

That's a picture of our nursery, obviously not bothering with the cot bedding as she'll be sleeping in her crib with us the first 6 months or so.

My cat moved back in with my mum and dad after dd was born. Still miss her like mad! I would never have sent her away but she made her own choice when we brought a tiny human into the house. We couldn't have her in my first rental place and she'd only been back with us for 6 months before dd was born. My parents were close by so she simply moved herself back in with them, much to my sister's cat (who still lives with my parents despite dsis living with her patner and having 7 cats) delight. Mum and dad live across the road now so she brings herself over for a visit when she feels like it and our garden is hers and I see her most days. She keeps her distance from dd unless she's eatting or has dreamies. She already has issues with bump as he keeps kicking her whenever she finds a quiet moment to steal my lap.

We're experts at cleaning up cat accidents. My cat gets regular utis and has ibs so often pees or poos where she shouldn't the poor thing. Would be better if she'd swallow her meds or didn't escape from her carrier every time we take her to visit the v.e.t! But have found lidl's own brand bio is great at clearing up smells and rug doctor pet urine and stain eleiminator spray is a god send as well as rug doctoring the carpets reguarly.

Bastard CSC! Indulge my moaning?

I couldn't get to sleep for ages last night because I was excited about my new car

The 3 year old tried to climb into bed with us at 3:30am

Dismissed her, but had to wee

Now I'm laying here really hungry!! For gods SAKE.

Rosie I'm soooo jealous, love that nursery!

Rosieblossom123 · 26/01/2016 05:59

Beautiful I'm joining the CSC too, damn you leg cramps Sad Was way too hungry too so sitting in the kitchen eating a bowl of frosties before getting ready for work. Thanks hun Smile Dp done it all bless him I was supervising Wink Haha

BeautifulLiar · 26/01/2016 06:06

Morning Rosie. I gave in and came downstairs! Never do that. Not looking forward to the school run mayhem this morning but I have three days "off" now so can relax later!! Bet you can't wait to finish work :)

MyNameIsSuz · 26/01/2016 06:09

Csc for me here too, couldn't get comfy then half woke up a million times, and had weird dreams too Sad.

Still, the childminder is ill so I can't go to work today, working at home this morning and taking the afternoon off. Maybe the boy will want a nap! I am very hopeful.

RhubarbAndMustard · 26/01/2016 06:20

Well that will teach me for boasting about a good nights sleep. In CSC with the pelvic pain back. Just can't get comfortable at all.

Just stupidly read the January baby thread too. Don't do it!!

Rosie that nursery is beautiful.

BeautifulLiar · 26/01/2016 06:23

Morning Suz

Hahaha Rhubarb I did the same thing!! Oh crap, what have we let ourselves in for?!

IndomitabIe · 26/01/2016 06:31

I can't really claim CSC as its my own fault - just not enough sleep from trying to keep up with bastard marking work. Two late nights in a row + having to change DS sheets at 3am.

I have to get to bed earlier tonight or I'll not be coping at all tomorrow.

Rosieblossom123 · 26/01/2016 06:56

Morning Smile

Beautiful I can tell you now that I can't bloody wait to finish work haha 2 weeks left on Friday, I just wish I could stay in my pjs for the rest of my life!!!

Hugs for all of us that joined the CSC last night Flowers

Rhubarb thank you Smile last week I had two great night sleeps and knew it only happened to tease me haha

Me624 · 26/01/2016 07:44

Morning all. Sorry to those in CSC last night! I slept ok for a change, woke at 5 and didn't go back to sleep but had a more or less unbroken stretch from 11.15ish so I'll take that thanks!

I had a really awful day at work yesterday though Sad I'm working on an event which is happening a week on Thursday and somehow tons of responsibility for organising it seems to have been dumped on me, despite it not being remotely my job and us having dedicated marketing and events people to do this sort of thing. I'm not prepared enough for the event at all because I've been spending so much time organising the bloody thing instead of working on my presentation. And I just feel really annoyed with my boss for dumping all of this stress onto a woman who is almost 8 months pregnant! But then I've always hated playing the "woe is me I'm pregnant card" and treating it as a get out of jail free, so I don't want to do that either. Really not looking forward to getting into work today!

Paperblank · 26/01/2016 07:55

CSC Angry Thank goodness I'm not in work till lunchtime.

I think having a good night's sleep actually makes it worse just because you wake up in a state of bliss and spend all day happy. DON'T FALL FOR IT!!

Achy bump this morning I think because the baby tried to kick it's way out last night, it was going beserk, it'll probably be the same today as I've got a midwife appt at 10.30 so will be poked and prodded , last time my bump was a bit tender for a day or so. FX baby is still head down.

Hope everyone has a good day Smile with no dramas!

RhubarbAndMustard · 26/01/2016 07:59

Me that doesn't sound fair. I used to be the Marketing/Events person and wouldn't have wanted the organisation side of things to go to anyone else. You have enough to do being a speaker!

Rosie how are your stabbing pains today? Just remembered as baby starting clawing away at my cervix again.

nixxxy · 26/01/2016 08:04

Up early-ish on my day off to go to the doctors and get my whooping cough vaccine /ouchie/ I intend to come straight back home and treat myself with a nap.

Crispylicious · 26/01/2016 08:20

CSC here too last night Sad How can I not sleep when I'm so tired?! I also appear to have DD's cough/cold, boo.

rosie I love your nursery! Like others, we haven't sorted out a room for the baby. We do have a spare room, but it's used we'll be visiting parents etc. We're not sure if we'll try to get both kids in a room together or give them a room each. Guess it depends on how they sleep!

Hope everyone with random pains/spd are ok today. Less than a month left at work for me now, wohoo!

sherazade · 26/01/2016 08:32

Wow Rosie that nursery is beautiful !
Last night was a heartburn -hunger - wee cycle and now I have a banging headache.
I've looked at stalked the Jan thread too. Need I say anything Shock about cracked nipples, sleepless nights and stitches

dobbythedoggy · 26/01/2016 08:46

Fell asleep bang smack in the middle of the bed last night. Dh had to wake me up to get in, as his covered the sofa bed in his room in all his crap and couldn't be asked to clear it at almost 1 in the morning. He then decided to ask me random questions or roll over everytime I started to fall back to sleep! Wasn't amused with him when his alarm went off this morning and he refused to get up straight away and complained about his crap night of sleep.

paper I agree a good night of sleep makes it so much worse because you know it's possiable to sleep well and it's even more frustrating when it doesn't happen.

Rosieblossom123 · 26/01/2016 09:17

Rhubarb I'm still getting the pain but not as bad as last night, she's kicking like mad this morning, it sometimes scares me as I genuinely think she's had enough and wants to come out, can't be that nice being so squashed haha

Me I can't believe they gave you so much to do, you should be taking it easy bless you, not long left, you also finish on the 12th right?

Crispy and sheraz thank you :) talking about cracked nipples lol my nipples are so itchy its unreal is that normal, I had to put some cream the other day, wasn't really the best look walking around with a big bump and vigorously itching my nipples in public Blush

QforCucumber · 26/01/2016 09:43

Morning all, joined you in the CSC last night Sad must have seen every hour to go for a wee, yet since I got up at half 6 I haven't needed to go once - how annoying!

I've not read the Jan thread but have had a look through the Feb one and they've had a few baby's arriving already Confused this is a little scary.

RhubarbAndMustard · 26/01/2016 09:57

Rosie I just read in my 'What to expect when you are expecting' book that if baby is head down and lowering into the pelvis, sometimes the head bumping on your cervix can cause sharp stabby pains. Think that must be it in my case.

Q must not look at Feb thread....must not look at Feb thread...[totally off now to read Feb thread].

scaredmum2be · 26/01/2016 10:03

Sorry to all in csc again. Hope today is not to bad for you all.
I've been managing really well since last Sunday now. Keep thinking surely I'm due a bad night :/. Legs where really twitching last night on the sofa. But it seems to stop when I get into bed and relax. It's never so bad until the evening on the sofa (that's my worst time)
I slept from 10-1 then 1-5 last night. Was up from 5 until 6 ish then fell back asleep until eight so can't complain here.

Off to see my nan today. Back at work tomorrow.

Feeling so underprepared today. Feel like I have a million things to do for baby and so little time.

MyNameIsSuz · 26/01/2016 10:05

Ooh rhubarb is that right? The midwife thought mine was breech at my last appointment, hopefully the cervix pain means she's turned head down then.

Rosieblossom123 · 26/01/2016 10:33

Rhubarb Yeah I think that's what actually is happening, when I had my growth scan two weeks ago they said baby's head is very low so that actually could be the case. I just can't wait until she's out.

I hate not being able to bend over haha so many restrictions!!

I want to read Jan and Feb thread how do I find them, why can I not find them I feel stupid Blush

RhubarbAndMustard · 26/01/2016 10:37

Rosie if you go to Topics and search for Anti natal clubs, they are all there. Just read the Overdue thread and it's lovely to see all the babies coming in.

Fx that's the case for you Suz.
