I'm with Rhubarb Smile had a fab nights sleep. I suspect it was drug induced as I had a day on the coedine yesterday - think I overdid it on Saturday so I was suffering.

We've only got one more weekend when DH isn't working before the baby arrives (holy shit) so we're trying to get everything sorted so that we can spend our last weekend together doing lovely stuff together, cinema, meal out etc.

Today is the start of my two week wind down at work, I've got the day off Grin

Hope you all have a good day xx

I threatened DH with the sofa last night if he snored which he didn't thankfully, the cat took up residence at my feet but a few turn overs later and she moved as well so a better nights sleep all round.

Had my 6 monthly dental check this morning although it must have been nearer 8 months since I didn't know I was pregnant when I last went..

Need a gum shield as apparently my jaws gone slack on hormones and Im clenching my teeth while I sleep... Lets hope its also worked on my pelvis and not gone the wrong way?!Grin think it explains why I have been waking up with a headache which I just put down to interrupted sleep.

Beautiful and Mrs E hope you got your car problems sorted, Beautiful I really struggle when I swap and drive my mums small car having got used to my slightly larger company car so in a couple of weeks you'll never look back!

Missikat · 25/01/2016 09:43

vroc, I had to get a gumshield after I had DS1 for the sane reason. I'd put it down to interrupted nights sleep with a newborn but was actually teeth grinding too. It took ages to learn to sleep with it in!

Beaut can't believe your DH drunk drove and wrote your car off, I'd have been so angry!

I'm currently sat pumping in the pumping room at the hospital, I'm so over it now! Can't wait when Zach is feeding more. He is latching on well but we've still been having to give him too ups via the tube as he's had a couple of non gains at his weigh ins. Plus it's really difficult to be here enough, I generally only make it for three feeds of the day due to looking after DS1, nursery runs etc and then Zach isn't always up for nursing at each one. Hopefully soon he will start waking up more and demand feeding, that's the next step to getting him home. Fingers crossed it happens soon!

Rosieblossom123 · 25/01/2016 09:48

41 days to go!! Anyone else feels like the weeks are dragging now? Yesterday I went shopping with dp and every single person that served us said 'oh you haven't got long left have you?' Thanks for that!! hurry up squishy I'm getting impatient!!! Sad

TriJo · 25/01/2016 10:24

Up 3 times during the night for bathroom trips and my body seems to have decided it's heartburn time right now. CSC checking in and I'm tempted to ask my boss can I make a chemist run for some Gaviscon...

MyNameIsSuz · 25/01/2016 10:26

I feel a bit like that Rosie but weirdly also that time is speeding past, all at the same time. I've got six weeks and three days til my due date, and only sixteen days at work! I've been gradually getting more ready, picking up little bits and pieces when I go to the shops, got breast pads and big pants in Sainsbury's this morning which is one more thing ticked off!

I'm feeling terrible this morning, I'm getting really lightheaded if I'm standing up too long. Could that be a blood pressure thing?

MrsElls · 25/01/2016 10:35

47 days to go for me, I didn't realise it was so close until I just worked it out!

Ah missi I used to hate expressing as well, was much easier to just feed on demand rather than having to plan time to do it and then faff around with sterilising and storing it. I'm sure Zach will keep doing well and will be home with you soon. In the meantime you should be very proud of yourself for persevering!

Rosieblossom123 · 25/01/2016 10:41

MyNameIs I agree I feel like it's dragging and at the same time it's flying haha I've got exactly 14 days left at work, can't wait to actually stay in bed for longer in the mornings!! Safe to say I actually bought everything so now it's annoying because I have nothing to do, everything is washed and ironed and folded arghhh haha

MyNameIsSuz · 25/01/2016 10:51

Ah I don't think I'll get to do that, I get up with ds! Might have to negotiate dh getting up early a couple of days a week. It'll be nice to have little naps though!

vroc81 · 25/01/2016 11:07

41 too Rosie Yikes! But 31 until the end of my last day at work... All meetings the week before that have only had tentative acceptance!! I agree it seems to be whizzing by but dragging - time left seems to not be long but the weeks themselves seem to go quite slowly?

Need to order a crib and a cot mattress at some point - where do I start in that minefield?

TriJo · 25/01/2016 11:11

55 days to due date here - 32 days until I finish up in work though! Looking forward to being able to relax a little and to not having to commute...

Going to start getting my hospital bag together this week too, just to get that out of the way.

Rosieblossom123 · 25/01/2016 11:21

MyNameIs definitely ask dh if he could do that, you deserve to have a rest before baby is here Flowers

vroc it feels like the weeks drag when I'm working but not when I'm off haha

My hospital bag is in my car already so that's out of the way, I've actually got two bags Blush

hayleycookie · 25/01/2016 11:35

Not even gonna work out how many days I have left yet. Don't want the panic to set in! Just over 3 weeks til term though eeek!!!

Just got back from midwives, and not sure what to make of it. The nurse told me there was a tiny amount of blood in my urine sample, and that the midwife would speak to me about it - but she didn't mention it.
Midwife said baby is head down (woop finally!), but that his growth had slowed down. He has been measuring big so I assumed his growth slowing would be good, but now she's worried because he should be growing at a constant rate. My growth scan is tomorrow and she wants me to go straight back to her after, and just ask for her and she will come out and check measurements straight away. Slightly worrying? She's also taken more blood to check my irons and is sending it off for a same day report to check it's gone up. Heart rate is also still low! The worries never end do they?

Rosieblossom123 · 25/01/2016 11:44

hayley sorry about the worries hun, I hope the scan goes well tomorrow Flowers

scaredmum2be · 25/01/2016 12:03

54 days to go for me! Literally can't come quick enough and I hope I don't go to far over. The thought of going to 42 weeks fills me with dread.
Not at work today as don't do Monday's anymore and have slept well all week. Feeling lonely today though. Been out with mil this morning to pick up a changing table (second hard but decent) from a selling site, it was really heavy and we didn't realise we had to carry it down four flights of stairs about eight stairs each, it really hurt and I struggled and now am very worried about baby and placenta detaching . Tummy feels a bit stretched. :(. Getting my self all worked up this last week over still birth and sudden infant death. Just feel panicked. I feel something is wrong with no real reason.
Went to ante natal class Saturday from 9:30-4pm it was ok but I knew a lot of it all ready. Was hoping to meet people but without sounding rude me and oh are only 22 and 24 and the other couples where all 30+ so we didn't really click and I got the impression we where looked upon as some silly young couple as a few asked us if baby was planned.
Was going to pop to morrisons for a couple bits but now too scared to carry the shopping home so going with oh when he gets home. Life feels so different and I'm really struggling to adjust to the big change that is coming.i feel all irritable and stressed and struggle to just relax and sit still.

Also yesterday I went with my oh to see his nan who he hasn't had contact with since he was a young child and she had a cat. His aunt was their to and said to the nan " shouldn't we move the cat litter away from xxx" the nan said it was fine as it was in closed and I wasn't handling it and the cat was too shy to come near me anyway so I didn't touch it. But now worrying about toxoplasmosis to.

Hayley- the worries really never end. Then when their here to theirs more worries, I wouldn't be worried about your scan. Bump measurements arnt always accurate and if baby has changed position maybe that's why your measuring differently. Hope you feel better soon.

Sorry to everyone in csc. I'm still waking up 3-6 times on average but falling asleep straight away most times so can't complain.

I've been having heartburn to and using rennies at the moment as run out of prescription acidex which was really good.

Missi- good to hear from you and amazing news about zach. His doing so well hard to believe he was born so early x so happy for you

hayleycookie · 25/01/2016 12:24

Scared Take it easy the rest of the day. I'm sure the lifting wouldn't have done any real damage to the baby, but you might be a bit achey and sore from it. The toxoplasmosis is from the poop, not from the litter, and it's a very low risk of you getting it. About 5 in 1,000, and then only a 10% chance of it going on to the baby. I think you'll be fine :)
EVERYONE worries when they start reading about SIDS, still birth etc. It's completely normal. It is scary to think about but the chances are, again, slim. Read up on how to reduce the risks and it should make you feel a bit better. Try not to read to much on them after that or you'll drive yourself crazy.
That was very rude of the couples in your class!! I was 23 when we had DS and we got some rude glances from strangers too. We were married and living together but people assume the worse sometimes. Just shrug them off. They will play no part in your life. They don't matter.

vroc81 · 25/01/2016 12:24

Scared you have to handle cat poo and even then a few day old cat poo in order to get toxoplasmosis.. I checked as I am often in the garden in my blue gloves replanting my pansies that they have moved to poo on! Angry

Glad you are sleeping better, your comment about antenatal class made me smile - they should ask me that question as a 30+ person... or perhaps thats why they asked, just reply "yes, you?" hopefully once they settle down they will improve. I'm off to my first one tomorrow night and I am quite nervous - I tend to hide behind my fairly sarcastic humour until I get to know people, when they then realise I am actually a nice person. Up until that point I know they think I am bonkers or just plain rude... Will attempt to behave myself and sit quietly..

hayley hope all is ok tomorrow, my bumps measuring behind for my gigantosaur 90th percentile baby so there's got to be some errors in that science somewhere...

Rosieblossom123 · 25/01/2016 12:26

scared I've got two cats and have a closed litter tray and midwife said it's absolutely fine. Dp normally cleans the litter tray but if I have to I'll wear a bag over my hand so I never actually touch anything. Don't worry yourself hun. Try and relax today maybe you pulled a muscle or something. Flowers

maybebabybee · 25/01/2016 12:30

scared you really don't need to worry about toxo. The risks of getting it from cat poo in this country are actually grossly over-exaggerated. You are more likely to get it from unwashed fruit and veg.

Even if the cat did have toxo, which is unlikely, you wouldn't get it just from being near the litter tray or touching the cat - you have to actually touch the poo. And also it has to have been out for 24 hours before the toxoplasmosis virus is contagious - fresh poo is fine (although I haven't told DP that Grin).

Like Rosie, I have two cats :)

Doing handover all day at work today. This has proved to me I could never have been a teacher as I get so sick of the sound of my own voice it's unreal. Confused

QforCucumber · 25/01/2016 12:42

Another one with 2 cats here and though have managed to talk DP into cleaning the covered litter tray I have had to do it myself now and again - looked into Toxo risks and they're so low it's not worth crossing your mind.

beautiful sorry to hear about your car, and your DH being a dick driving while drunk, but glad he's ok and car is replaceable.

Oh missi I really hope you get to take him home soon, can imagine you'll feel so much more calm when he's right where he should be.

rosie yes! the weeks really are dragging as a whole, Though I've just had 2 days off and it's only Monday it really feels to me like it should be Friday already!

scaredmum2be · 25/01/2016 12:46

Thanks. I need to take a short walk somewhere to collect something this afternoon and do the washing up but that's it. Trying to relax but my legs are saying " move me, move me " argh!!. I hate it.

Thanks for the reassurance re the cat poo and lifting. I tried telling my self "loads of pregnant women have cats and are fine so I will be to".

I did find them quite rude at the ante natal class. I hate being judged because I'm still young. It's horrible. The class it self was good though and made me feel a bit more confident about my ability to give birth.

I'm just terrified I've hurt baby or ripped my placenta because of the lifting.

Thanks for the advice.

BeautifulLiar · 25/01/2016 13:07

Aww scared I'm sure your baby will be just fine. If the placenta had detached there'd be a lot of heavy bleeding I'm sure? And as for the toxo, like Rosie said she has cats and a litter tray and the midwife said it'll be fine Flowers

We got the car!!! Quite excited now actually - I was planning on trying to manage with the Punto, but deep down I knew it would have been a bloody nightmare not being able to go out as a family, struggling to fit the pram in the boot and squashing autistic DS in between his little sisters on the back seat.

We have to get back from Hull in a minute - about an hour's drive in the new car - slightly bricking it!!

I've been so lucky up until now I think as the baby is about two weeks smaller than average, but I really am getting uncomfortable now!!

Me624 · 25/01/2016 13:35

As others have said scared definitely don't worry about the cat litter, no risk at all. We have a cat and DH has been doing his tray since I've been pregnant but he travels abroad for work sometimes and I've just done the same as Rosie. If you didn't even touch it there's no risk.

I also worry about SIDS and stillbirths, especially as I lost a cousin to SIDS. I was only young myself at the time (about 7) but I clearly remember her funeral and how awful it was. The risks are so small though and I just have to keep reminding myself of that!

Rosieblossom123 · 25/01/2016 13:40

Q that's so true it definitely should be Friday today in fact it should be the 6th March haha

maybe haha I'm not telling dp that either, I always tell him that I can't even go near cat poo Grin haha

Scared like Beautiful said I'm sure they'd be a lot of bleeding if the placenta had detached.

scaredmum2be · 25/01/2016 14:08

Thank you all.
No bleeding and baby moving but little niggles in upper abdomen. Off for a walk to try to distract my self as sitting on the sofa is not helping me at all.
It was so awkward getting it down the stairs and so I didn't fall I had to lift my part with one hand. I just hope she's ok in their. Probably a lot more relaxed than I am though I suspect.
Beaut- sorry about the car. Hope the drive is/was ok x
