Evening all, happy Friday!

I'm totally worn out this evening! Octo-baby's shifted again, and though he's still head down (hiccuping on what feels like the top of my right thigh now) I think he must have rolled and be facing inwards, as I haven't had as many feet in the ribs/top of bump. I have had a lot of rummaging around right down in my pelvis though. So movements are different, and a bit more subtle, but still very frequent.

I can't even join in with your conversation. I am not up for weighing myself, and definitely not the other!

Talking about sleep though, my mio fuse watch DH got me last year when I started running has just updated to do sleep tracking. It seems a lot more accurate than the phone app I've used. (And probably safer too). Gives me a nice pie chart in the morning! (I'm very nerdily pleased as this was the one function I would have liked that some of the others had, but I liked the style more than the Fitbit type ones).

We had sn-hai-eet this morning (a combination of snow, hail and sleet!) and I had a bit of a slip around in my car dropping DS off! It was safer than that sounds! Anything exciting elsewhere? (I'm Westcountry, btw).

scaredmum2be · 15/01/2016 18:39

What is this thing you call sex? Haha. We havnt done it since erm week 15 I think? I'm 31 weeks tomorrow.
Fell asleep on the sofa at three until five. Just couldn't keep my eyes open. Been a bit teary this morning. Gutted my counselling got cancelled today. Arm sore now from wc jab but no bruise yet.
Baby had been head down for me at 25,28,31 app and at growth scan to but for some reason I'm scared she'll turn and become breech.
Also has anyone painted in pregnancy? Work was painting the room I work in whilst I was working Monday and Tuesday with Matt emulsion. Theirs no windows in the room to ventilate but we did have the air con on. It wasn't very strong smelling but I've just realise could I of harmed baby?
Also our rented flat which we move from at the end of February suffers from damp badly. The landlord won't do anything about it so we have had to move but is breathing in the damp bad for baby whilst in the womb? I'm scared it'll affect her lungs and put her at increased risk of cot death. Silly I know but just needed to ask someone

IndomitabIe · 15/01/2016 18:57

Painting is fine, scared. Probably not very pleasant though.

Damp'll be fine too. Again, not pleasant. And not for much longer by the sounds of it.

3-5pm is prime nap time! I commend you!

It's unlikely baby will turn 180'. But midwives will check every appointment now and probably again when you go into labour.

scaredmum2be · 15/01/2016 19:04

Thanks.
I defiantly needed a nap after only having one good night this week.
I hope she stays where she is haha.
Havnt done anything today other than midwife and doctors to get the jab. Just don't have the will power or energy.
Hate this crawling feeling in my legs though.

neh205 · 15/01/2016 21:09

Thanks for the iron tips ladies. Going to see what they are looking like at next appointment and ask about the prescribed iron.

rosie good to know you got through withe the painful vendor in the end! I got a bit ranty about it all today. Hopefully things will progrease next week.

Good to know we are in the same boat maybe . Are you in rented accommodation at the moment? We are at my parents. Bless them they've been very good but baby paraphernalia is starting to take over now! Just want to be in my own place now and can't even think what might happen if it should fall through!

We've been having lots of cuddles but not necessarily sex. Although I've found that him sitting on a chair and me on top is least likely to affect the bump! Have no idea what that position is called ...

Hope you all get better nights sleep.

Can you believe how close we are are getting to due dates?! Unreal!

I'm in a village near St Albans commuting into London for work

marmiteandcheeseplease · 15/01/2016 21:33

Ooh i like the sound of the chair position neh might have to try that out. Don't think anything could ever put DP off sex haha. He's 7 inches taller than me and I do find spoons difficult logistically I have to admit, but needs must! Another boring one here my fave position is missionary but that's been off the cards for months due to my massive bump. Was having a little moan at DP last night about how long it will be till sex will be great again - with DD I found it painful for months after her birth Confused don't want to scare anyone though - things did eventually return to normal!

ffauxlivia · 15/01/2016 22:02

I'm with indom and opting out of this discussion!

People asking about the where people live/the spreadsheet - I found it! For some reason I remembered that it was at the top of thread 4 so was easy to locate: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1CWO_z74sygCKB3cdMb7jXf2VP1TwJB8KCTF-M5XbTyY/edit?pref=2&pli=1#gid=0 I normally live in NE England but USA right now.

Will be interesting to start adding birth dates to this - Missikat clearly being in the lead there!

Going back a few pages, thanks for the poo-push-fear empathy, glad I'm not the only one! The blowing nose tip was hilarious. Thankfully constipation hasn't been that big an issue generally, just now and again

Aargh my rib ache has been unbearable at work today, and belly is also itching like crazy, no matter how much cream I use. I feel like I have suddenly been growing uncontrollably these last couple of weeks and my body can't deal with it!

scared the paint will be fine as they are not allowed to use lead or harmful chemicals in it these days.

Hope everyone has a nice weekend planned. We have a 3-day weekend and the temps are going to get super low again (-25C) so I plan to hibernate and get fully into nesting mode. A massive Amazon order just arrived so have lots of exciting things to sort through, yay! Oh gosh this is really happening isn't it???

ffauxlivia · 15/01/2016 22:05

and because I'm a data geek I just sorted the spreadsheet so it puts us in order of due date :)

QforCucumber · 15/01/2016 22:35

Haha ffaux I hope I don't mess it up then, I completed it before my scans - my dd is now the 10th not the 14th
Shows how long it's been since I looked at the speadsheet haha

QforCucumber · 15/01/2016 22:37

Oooo and I'm also now 29 Sad

Trinpy · 15/01/2016 22:59

I'm not even on the spreadsheet because my phone won't let me add to it. I'll have to try again from my tablet tomorrow (laptop died long ago).

Ooh that's interesting indom, I don't think you live too far from me, so maybe there's still hooe for me seeing snow this winter. So far just lots of rain. I got all excited today because one of my patients' visitors said it was snowing when she left home; unfortunately she lives around dartmoor area Sad.

IndomitabIe · 15/01/2016 23:14

Yep, that's where I am Trin. The tors are (well, were) all white. Not too much in town here but a good sprinkle in the villages.

My weather apps are telling me it's all over now. Though FB is still going with the hype.

MrsBenWyatt · 15/01/2016 23:35

I live very near to Q in the NE. No snow here, which is a shame as I can't leave the house anyway so it would have been nice to look at!

I have had 2 naps today Blush.

DH has bought me a new kindle because of my bed rest so I am looking forward to reading lots before DC3 arrives!

ffauxlivia · 16/01/2016 00:24

Haha edit away Q - it's easy for me to update. I can add people who only use MN on phones if you want

Don't wish for snow too much - we've had it for weeks and I get very nervous I'm going to slip when I'm out and about, and I have proper snow boots and everything! I'm walking around like an old granny Grin

TriJo · 16/01/2016 00:43

Snow can fuck right off - the one thing I dreaded this winter was an icy cold snap. Thankfully December obliged with manky and grey but mild weather, January is not being very nice to us though! Thankfully it doesn't look like there will be much more than the odd flurry...

Planning to put my feet up, vegetate at home and watch loads of rugby tomorrow. Bring it on :)

scaredmum2be · 16/01/2016 04:11

Ahh! Wide awake again! Seriously havnt slept right since Tuesday. Sunday n Monday where crap to, woke at 1 then 3 n can't sleep. Tried for n hour and nothing, how much longer of this? I can't go on.

Ffaux- sorry to hear about the pain. Hope it eases soon and the itching x

MyNameIsSuz · 16/01/2016 07:06

I'm suspicious we're going to get a snowy March, the thought of being slowed down getting to the hospital in labour is a worry!

I slept better last night but the boy was awake from a stupid hour and after getting up to wipe his bum I never got back to sleep. Dh has got up with him though so I'm still in bed, hooray.

Me624 · 16/01/2016 08:52

I hope we don't have a cold March - I haven't bought any warm clothes for the baby! And I hate snow - it's fun for a day but the roads instantly become lethal and it takes hours to get anywhere, no thanks.

scared sorry you are suffering so badly, at least you have your shorter weeks starting soon so you can catch up by napping during the day.

MyNameIsSuz · 16/01/2016 08:59

Hmm, it might be worth getting something and keeping the tags on so they can be taken back me, March can be freezing. I have a little furry pramsuit (a leftover from ds, but was pretty cheap from h&m in the first place) and some hats, indoors I wouldn't think you'd need anything different, I just wanted to be covered for trips out in the pram etc.

gemsparkle84 · 16/01/2016 09:21

Goodness I didn't even think about March being cold! I'm a FTM so I've obviously bought done clothes, sleep suits, vests etc but any other outfits are mainly just cute little jumpers and leggings. Hopefully if it's cold there will still be few bits still in shops and they will be in the sale Grin

It's very cold here but no snow, well we had a sprinkle a couple of days ago. Im in Yorkshire. It's very easy to get to a hospital here unless we have some serious snow like a few years ago... My closest is about 2.5 miles away although I'm thinking of going to another one which is around 10 miles away. It's a smaller unit and tends to be less busy.

I'm now considering starting my leave on 31st my pelvis feels as though it's falling apart. Sounds stupid I know but the pain in my bottom and tops of my legs is terrible. I'm only doing minimal walking around at work anyway now so I don't think that's much of a problem but at least I can be at home.

scared I'm glad you're taking some leave and working better weeks over the next few weeks.

Weight gain I've but around 2 stone on since my booking, I'm normally about 10-10.5 stone and yesterday I'm 12.5 stone. I'm not bothered in the slightest. I usually do watch my weight so I'm sure at some point maybe towards the summer I might start to think about keeping an eye on things and getting a few pounds off but I'm quite lucky I do find it quite easy to lose weight. I'm very active, we have 5 dogs so I'm usually walking with them every day plus on my feet at work although things have slowed down a bit and walks have gotten shorter I'm hoping they will pick up once baby is here. We got a great pram suitable for lots of walking so I'll be aiming to do lots of that.

As for sex hubby and I had sex about a week ago before that it was a few weeks. We are both very tired from work but when we've bothered I've enjoyed it a lot and pleased with myself for making the effort!

My friend had a home Doppler (which she's lent to me but I've only used a couple of times) and when she was getting toward the end of her pregnancy she had sex with her partner anyway afterwards baby was moving so she decided to check the heart rate and it was nearly 200bpm! She said she felt awful and don't know if she did it again after that! I think it's pretty safe though it wouldn't put me off. Lots of ladies do it don't they. Wink

maybebabybee · 16/01/2016 10:20

I hope it's still cold in March - I love cold weather Grin The mild winter we've had so far has been awful for me - I never know what to wear. I hate being hot so I function much better in winter. I'm probably the only person on earth who moans when we have a hot summer.

I have a fleecey pramsuit for baby anyway as I imagine it will still be relatively chilly in March - it usually is, isn't it?

MyNameIsSuz · 16/01/2016 10:46

I prefer cold weather too maybe, I hate how I look in summer clothes too! Having a September baby last time was great as I never worried about him overheating and could cover up my breastfeeding body with jumpers etc. I'm hoping we don't get a really hot spring this year like we sometimes do, having a hot newborn stuck to you when feeding or in the sling sounds horrible, and I'll find it even harder to dress for the weather.

gemsparkle84 · 16/01/2016 10:53

Another girl here who loves cold weather!

TriJo · 16/01/2016 11:46

I got a cute little 0-3 month winter jacket for the baby from Asda delivered yesterday, down to 7 quid :) Hoping I won't need it much, a warm spring would be lovely.

dobbythedoggy · 16/01/2016 12:02

Oh no, now you have me fantising about a frozen March! A couple of weeks of really cold weather would solve all my problems. Ils won't venture out in cold weather, so we could have extended peace and quiet. I have all winter born dd's stuff still, he'll look like a pink marshmellow but would be warm, and more than enough blankets. Planning to get a second frezer and bluk buy and milk and bread any way.

Slept pretty well last night, appart from a hour awake with bump grinding his head against one side of my pelvis.
