Hi ladies,

I've been TTC2 for 1.5 years and I've just found out I'm pregnant Smile 1 day before Xmas eve! Best present ever! Anyone else celebrating a bfp this Christmas? I've already had to dodge chocolate mousse, champagne and Stilton...all worth it though!! Grin

I'm feeling tired, sick and really emotional! I'm just feeling bleugh! But I have told my mum and mil tonight so that's one massive task out of the way. They were both shocked but happy underneath I think! I've also told one of my sisters. Not told the other one yet it's a relatively new relationship (whole other thread!) but we are close and they have been struggling to conceive with Ivf (3 attempts). And here I am #4 and unplanned (but will be very much loved!).

MillieMoodle · 06/01/2016 21:52

Hello everyone!

Please can I join? I got a bfp on 27th Dec after ttc no. 2 for 12 months. My cycles have been around 35 ish days (not very regular) so although based on my last period edd is 29th august, I think it's nearer 5th September.

I'm 31 and have a DS (4) already.

Have got my booking in appointment with the midwife on 22nd Jan. I am also a compulsive knicker-watcher/toilet paper inspector! Symptom wise I've got crippling tiredness, very sore boobs, mild nausea and a very bloated stomach!

Smile

Yes I'm knicker watching too and been to GP twice this week! Feel better for being in this group though! So lovely to meet you all X (It's my first if you can't tell!!!!!)

lastnightiwenttomanderley · 06/01/2016 22:13

peardrop absolutely! One one hand I can't believe he's 4 months already yet at the same time I can't really remember life before him! Congratulations again and hope everything's plain sailing for all of you until September.

MillieMoodle · 06/01/2016 22:47

Thanks peardrop Smile I think I'll fit right in!

Nevlet · 06/01/2016 23:31

Evening girls... Symptom wise still just tired and hellboobs... But have managed to pull my back and put in spasm (over excitedly trying on new boots which arrived from justfab Blush) and am in agony Sad normally would medicate this with some cocodamol and glass of vino! Oh well!

MillieMoodle · 07/01/2016 06:21

Ouch nevlet you have my sympathies; I have got a prolapsed disc in my spine which sends my back muscles into spasm every now and then. I am hoping it doesn't happen within the next 9 months as I don't think I can take any of the medication while pregnant!

wineandcheeseplease · 07/01/2016 06:33

Does anyone else get cramps and pains. Every night when I go to bed I get pains as if AF is there!

Fifi10 · 07/01/2016 06:49

Yes wineandcheese same here, along with lower back pain. Sad

sophied1983 · 07/01/2016 07:09

Mine is mostly my boobs. They hurt a lot which makes getting off to sleep tricky and my nipples are like bullets haha... definitely feeling bloated as my tight jeans are now too uncomfortable to wear. Had some cramps and gripes and seem to be having a flare up of my colitis which isn't ideal. It's an autoimmune disease so I wonder if it's all linked as immune system is only bothered about baby now. Got over my cold and sniffles though. I am six weeks today :)

Nevlet · 07/01/2016 08:57

Had awful nights sleep... But not tired and boobs much less sore. Worrying myself this means somethings gone wrong!

ohanami · 07/01/2016 10:29

I slept really badly last night too nevlet, dd woke me up about midnight then I woke myself up at 4 for ages. It's my day off today though so can take things easy at least.

Had a tiny amount of spotting this morning which has got me worrying. A tiny bit of brown and an even tinier bit of pink. Keeping everything crossed that it's just the after effects of dtd Tuesday night and that there won't be any more Sad I wish there was a way to be able to tell one way or the other that things were going smoothly other than just "wait and see".

SewSlapdash · 07/01/2016 13:36

sophie try wearing a soft crop top in bed. I had some cheap ones from Sainsburys last time or Primark do them. Made a big difference to how comfortable I was in bed, just holds everything in place a little bit.

Butterflies100 · 07/01/2016 13:40

Hi

I hope I can join this chat, it's really interesting to hear that my symptoms seem to be similar to others.

I found out I was pregnant last Saturday having had my contraceptive implant out on December 1St. Did not expect it to happen so quickly, I didn't even have a period. So far I have been mainly worrying, this is my first so I have no idea what to expect. I'm needing at least 8 hours sleep but still feeling shattered. My boobs are so sore and I have some cramping. I saw the Dr on Monday and she had a feel of my tummy and said as long as there is no bleeding then not to worry. But I still am! I have started feeling nauseous of a morning although only been sick once but come lunchtime I'm starving! Have gone off tea and coffee but have a real thing for lemon slices in hot water- no idea why but the smell seems to make me less queasy! I look forward to making some new friends on here :-)

Fifi10 · 07/01/2016 13:57

butterflies100 I've been keeping a stash of crackers with me to stave off the hunger (and nausea which comes with it!)

Sausage2229 · 07/01/2016 14:12

Welcome Butterflies! I'm exactly the same! Worried myself sick but feeling better since I joined this group! I also have a surprise pregnancy after only coming off the pill 3 weeks before I conceived X

GuessHowMuch · 07/01/2016 14:13

Wineandcheese I just came on here to ask the same question! I've been having cramps that feel like period pain, usually at night. I saw the Dr yesterday to get a midwife referral and he's going to ask for an early scan because of the medications I'm on increasing the risk of miscarriage. Butterflies I went off tea and coffee last time I was pg but so far this time I'm still ok with them - dreading it because I love a decaf Flat White Grin

icklekid · 07/01/2016 14:15

Hi all had to go to gp this morning as has small amount of bleeding first thing this morning. Did a swab and blood test got to go back for another blood test on mon to see if levels risen. Meant to be at work but sent home as too emotional. Not sure how I can cope until Monday afternoon. Keep swinging between convinced I'm having a mc and that it's just spotting as nothing since...sorry to ruin mood!

Butterflies100 · 07/01/2016 14:27

Icklekid you need to be wherever you feel is best for you, work suddenly becomes less important. Only a few days until you know and I'm praying for good things for you xx
