Hi ladies,

I've been TTC2 for 1.5 years and I've just found out I'm pregnant Smile 1 day before Xmas eve! Best present ever! Anyone else celebrating a bfp this Christmas? I've already had to dodge chocolate mousse, champagne and Stilton...all worth it though!! Grin

Congratulations wineandcheese

DD was 3.7, it's a lovely age gap. She understood what was going on and has had no issues with jealousy, she's been wonderful.

DS has spent his 7 months crying unless he is being fed or has my full attention and even then it's sometimes not enough. He is very demanding and that's another reason I'm worried. I get really bad spd from 16 weeks so he's going to have to suck it up! He starts nursery in Feb when I go back to work so I'm hoping that will help.

I'm also panicking about telling work. The Head is going to go nuts! I ad only been at this school for 9 months before going on mat leave and I'll only be back for 6 months before going again Confused

Hurr1cane · 05/01/2016 09:27

Hi, this will be DC2 for me. DS is 9, due 7th September I think if I've got my dates right.

I'm in a massive panic because my last pregnant ended in an ectopic and DS has a rare genetic condition that makes him very poorly and disabled.

But very very happy. Going to ask for an early reassurance scan due to the ectopic but if they say no I'll find a way to pay for one.

Heartshappedsunglasses · 05/01/2016 09:32

Hey- Can I join to? I found out Boxing Day- this will be our first child still slightly shocked but very excited as not planned and although 28 years old and been with my partner for 5 years I know my mum will go nuts...hoping to avoid that conversation for as long as possible. Otherwise feeling fine generally, bit of cramping at times which can be a bit uncomfortable. Already sorted my booking appointment but that's not till 25th January which feels ages away.

prettyflowers111 · 05/01/2016 10:12

Just back from gp. She was LOVELY! and while I was there she did my flu jab to save me going up for a separate appointment with the nurse. She's calculated my dd as August 28th and now I just need to sit tight for my booking appointment :) feel much better for having gone and 'announced' my pregnancy to them!

SewSlapdash · 05/01/2016 13:01

Back at work for the first time today (I'm pt already since DS) and feeling weird because, apart from slightly swollen boobs) I've got basically no symptoms at all. Very strange because by this time with DS my boobs were agony and I was feeling really sick, a lot. So I'm doing that common thing of worrying I have made the whole thing up despite 3 positive tests. Ever so slightly hoping this means that I'm having a girl this time but trying not to get my hopes up too much Grin

Weirdly enough my dad made a throwaway comment about not having any granddaughters at the weekend (I've got 2 nephews) without knowing I was pg.

TheMasterMurderedMargarita · 05/01/2016 13:06

I'm back to work tomorrow and dreading it.
The vomiting started this morning which is a good sign I guess just a bit unpleasant.
A bit more makeup required methinks!

Nevlet · 05/01/2016 13:36

Afternoon ladies! 4 lessons back at school and ready for a snooze already! Have started worrying that I should be feeling or being sick by now... Suppose I should just enjoy feeling fine while it lasts! Anyone else pretty symptom free?

LetThereBeCupcakes · 05/01/2016 14:40

Nothing really for me, except for slightly tender boobs! I was very lucky last time, no sickness or anything. Hoping for more of the same!

WePlusThree · 05/01/2016 15:05

I have no symptoms either yet (4w5d) except feeling tired x

wineandcheeseplease · 05/01/2016 16:07

I have had sore boobs and keep feeling sick but nothing major yet!

genome · 05/01/2016 16:57

6weeks today! I've got my booking in appointment sorted for the 21st.

I feel hungover most of the day at the moment without any of the fun Confused. I tried drinking lots yesterday to see if I could shift the feeling, but I just ended up on the loo half the day!

Nevlet · 05/01/2016 16:58

I have painful boobs beyond what I thought possible but was convinced with them that bad surely I have enough hormone to be sick too?!

TheMasterMurderedMargarita · 05/01/2016 17:11

nevlet my boobs were agony but that has calmed down to a tingle now and been replaced by sickness. I made my booking appointment today am guessing I'm around 6+4.

sparklystars20 · 05/01/2016 17:22

nevlet just 'enjoy' Blush^^ the sore boobs as sore boobs and constantly feeling 'weird'/nauseous/light headed/achy womb area is really not fun at all!!

I'm definitely not cut out for pregnancy and I'm only 6 weeks in!! ShockConfused
(Still so grateful that we got pregnant but don't do 'feeling poorly' at all well!)

Mummabear88 · 05/01/2016 17:25

I had really sore boobs last time (I had raynauds of the nipple!!) not helped by being pregnant in the winter when it's really cold! This time round my boobs have been fine ( still bf DS once during the night)

My morning sickness started at 9 weeks last time so I won't relax about sickness until after then! Hoping to avoid it altogether it really is miserable!

Hope everyone is surviving the first week back at work!

rachywhite83 · 05/01/2016 17:34

I'm feeling rough. Just queasy as yet with no sickness. I'm a bit bloated today but they could be because of early birthday celebrations in pizza express. Feeling extremely light headed today nearly fainted a couple of times. That with the constant knicker checking because of a previous mc is making me a nervous wreck !

icklekid · 05/01/2016 18:00

Thanks for the list cupcake good work! I don't know go back to work for one day and the thread goes wild 😉

Not been able to keep any food down today so might be using sickness medication. Had to tell someone at work to explain me running out of training session we were delivering to be sick 😖

My books have been sore to which I don't remember happening last time!

icklekid · 05/01/2016 18:00

*boobs not books!

ChocolateTeacup · 05/01/2016 18:30

Hello!

I got my positive test yesterday after trying since April 2015 this is my DC3 but will be my partners DC1, I am due 08/09/16 :D

SewSlapdash · 05/01/2016 18:34

nevlet my boobs were horrendous last time, I had to wear a crop top in bed throughout pg, but no where near this bad so far this time. Mind you, I went up to a 32H by the end and while I was feeding DS, so I'm guessing there's plenty of room for growth already built in this time Hmm

BubbaNo1 · 05/01/2016 18:46

Hi can I join? I got my BFP yesterday.. Ovia predicts EDD to be 11th September. I'm still really shocked and a bit scared!

Symptoms- insomnia, cramps and sore nipples

Pawpatroller · 05/01/2016 19:40

Hi, can I join too? I got my bfp on New Year's Day but didn't want to join the thread until I'd changed my username - I've got a really good friend who's a mn-ter so didn't want her to find out through this! This will be dc3 for us, due 9th September according to babycentre. I don't have any symptoms yet but then I never do, seem to be lucky enough to avoid any sickness etc. I should just enjoy the lack of symptoms and be used to it by now but it's hard not to worry!
I'm a teacher too btw, not looking forward to telling the head. No hurry for now though.

MargaretCabbage · 05/01/2016 23:02

I've been really tired (not that that is anything new with a one year old!) and heartburn. Keep feeling a bit sick but I think it's in my head because I'm expecting to. I was sick and struggled to eat for all but about two weeks in the middle during my last pregnancy, so hoping it won't be so bad - though I was super slim after giving birth so that was nice.

Welcome and congratulations to everyone just joining! 👋

Runningbutnotscared · 05/01/2016 23:40

Hi ladies,
Congratulations to you all 😃
I got my bfp this morning and am still in shock! My pfb is only a few weeks over a year old so I can't really believe that I'm expecting another. I've peed on three sticks today and am going to buy a proper expensive digi one tomorrow just to be sure.
...and I'll have to stop breast feeding before the boob soreness kicks in.

I'm quite shell shocked to be honest
