Hi ladies,

I've been TTC2 for 1.5 years and I've just found out I'm pregnant Smile 1 day before Xmas eve! Best present ever! Anyone else celebrating a bfp this Christmas? I've already had to dodge chocolate mousse, champagne and Stilton...all worth it though!! Grin

Huge hugs kimbles

liliana I'm also in Devon - whereabouts are you?

Sainsburys TTD Colombian decaf is good too for coffee lovers. I'm clinging to my one cup a day of fully leaded stuff.

Sick and tired of feeling full, but also hungry a lot and needing to keep eating to keep the nausea under control. At least this time I'm better equipped to deal with it, I've got snacks in my drawer at work and I've treated myself to a graze box subscription, so at least I have something nice to nibble. Last time I got thoroughly sick of cereal bars and crackers which bunged me up anyway

Lilliana · 20/01/2016 13:49

We're North Sew, near South Molton if you know it. Where are you?

Any good suggestions for healthy (ish) snacks that aren't fruit? Fruit just doesn't cut it!!

SewSlapdash · 20/01/2016 13:58

I'm Exeter.

Lilliana · 20/01/2016 14:14

Nice to have some other south westerners on the thread!

Butterflies100 · 20/01/2016 15:13

My boss just came into my office. The smell of his pongy aftershave made me nearly vom. Had to nod along to what he was saying (have no idea what that wascos all my brain was thinking was 'dont vom, don't vom'). I'm going home early today to have a little cry :-(

CatFaceCrayola · 20/01/2016 15:19

Oh butterflies poor you :(

spacepoodle your name makes me really happy!

No aversions here yet, no symptoms of any kind either though really! I'm not complaining.

I switched to decaf with pregnancy number 1 and never went back. I'll have the odd one if there's no decaf, but more than a couple on caffienated drinks in a day and I go a bit funny

CatFaceCrayola · 20/01/2016 15:30

Booked my first appointment with midwife. Not up for trying to come up with a creative fib for why I need time off yet, so having to wait til half term. 17th Feb. Seems a long way off. I'll be nearly 8 weeks then...is that too late?

Kitkatmonster · 20/01/2016 16:14

Think that's perfect catface I'll be 7+5 when I go and receptionist said best to make the appt for 7-8 weeks.

OTheHugeManatee · 20/01/2016 16:29

8 weeks is about perfect CatFace Smile

GothGoneGrey · 20/01/2016 16:34

I've not got my booking in until I'm about 10 weeks, which is apparently normal here but feels like a very long way off.

Also, Hi. I'm about 6 weeks with my number 3 and obsessing about having to buy a bigger car.

Fifi10 · 20/01/2016 16:42

My booking appt was at 9 weeks. I think 8-10 weeks is fairly standard.

I've caved in and booked a private scan for Saturday(!) I'm still going to try and get my nhs one at 12 weeks ish, but was really disappointed when the midwife said it might not be til 14 weeks+

FrazzleRock · 20/01/2016 16:45

I'm waiting for my GP to get back to me. I emailed her a week ago Angry to confirm we want to be booked in for ante natal. Now I don't know if she's done it and not responding, or she just hasn't seen my email. I emailed again yesterday. I know there's no urgency as I'm only 5/6 weeks, but be nice to have some sort of acknowledgment that she's onto it!

Maybe I'll call the surgery tomorrow and find out what's going on. Le sigh....

Fifi10 · 20/01/2016 16:58

Frazzle can you contact the community midwife direct?

sophied1983 · 20/01/2016 18:02

Any other Londoners on this thread?

Caved and booked myself early reassurance scan on Fri.

ThatsNotEvenAWord · 20/01/2016 18:09

Yes I love the carte noire decaf too, I've been drinking it during the evenings anyway. Must get some decaf tassimo pods.

I told my TA at work today, I figured either way I'd want her to know, and if I start being sick like last time and keeping crisps in my classroom cupboard it'll be good to have some support.

I'm definitely finding myself getting more hungry. I'm trying to carry on following slimming world, I was using it to maintain my weight before. Although if/when the sickness starts I'll be eating whatever I can keep down Confused

Unreliablepat · 20/01/2016 18:15

Evening all.

Well, I managed to do my swim today but it has left me completely shattered. I think the first trimester exhaustion is kicking in.Hopefully that means I'll sleep tonight!

I'm also thinking of buying a pregnancy yoga dvd. Lilliana - which one do you have?

Round here I have to see the GP first and then book a midwife appt between 8 & 10 wks. Time is going so slowly!

Sophie I was in Wimbledon until 12 months ago when we moved out to the sticks. Whereabouts are you?

sophied1983 · 20/01/2016 18:22

South East London... Honor Oak Park.

Will have baby at King's in Camberwell.

kimblesj · 20/01/2016 18:33

Thanks everyone, had a scan today which showed a happy sticky peanut shaped baby with a heartbeat. They think bleeding is coming from my cervix so need to take it easy but otherwise all is fine thank goodness!!

I am based in Cambridgeshire

Thethingidontfancy · 20/01/2016 18:48

Hello all. Has been v reassuring to read this thread and to be sharing your journeys. Can I sign up?

Will be DC 2 for us. Due approx 8 Sept. SW London.
Found out NYE but still can't quite believe it's really happening, hence a lot of forum lurking.
Having early scan coming Monday (7+4) after complications previously.
Pretty anxious. Oh and pretty nauseous- esp in evening. Starving one minute, devour food then can't think of anything worse than thought of thing I just ate?!?

eskimoflo · 20/01/2016 18:51

kimbles such good news! That has made me Smile so I can't begin to imagine how relieved you feel!

ThatsNotEvenAWord · 20/01/2016 18:52

Ah kimbles so happy to hear that Smile

Kitkatmonster · 20/01/2016 19:06

kimbles absolutely brilliant news, really pleased for you.

Hi newcomers Smile

FrazzleRock · 20/01/2016 19:25

Kimbles!!!!! That's fabulous news! I am so hapy for you, you must be absolutely thrilled.

sophied1983 I'm in London - Colliers Wood. Though we're hoping to move to Kent. Where are you based?

nailsathome · 20/01/2016 19:31

Great news kimbles Grin

I've still not contacted the mw, you're all making me feel like I should get on with it though!

I'll be booking a scan for 8 weeks I expect. I want to know before I go back to work after half term.

CatFaceCrayola · 20/01/2016 19:45

Fabulous kimbles

I stupidly just helped move a load of floorboards upstairs. My dad and his friend who obviously know nothing of my "condition" so figured I'd just crack on. Idiot. Finished nearly an hour ago and still feeling a bit wobbly from it. Hope I've not done any damage :(
