Hello everyone,
I have been absent for a few days as I've had quite an eventful weekend...
I had some spotting on Sunday, tiny, tiny little amounts of blood and some when I wiped too. I then had some sharp 'stabbing' pains later on in the afternoon and was really worried, so I phoned NHS Direct and they got me an appointment at the walk-in clinic. The nurse there was lovely and checked me out completely. I told her that I was booked into the EPAU for an early scan anyway (due to past fertility problems and lack of cycles), so she ruled out things like a bladder infection and advised some rest. (There really wasn't a lot she could do).
Yesterday, I stayed off work because I had quite strong AF-like pains and cramps, so that made me even more concerned, but I took it easy and waited for my scan, which was this morning. The scan showed a heartbeat! However, I am really puzzled, as it is only measuring 3.6mm crl. This puts me at 'less than 6 weeks.' Now, I know for a fact that I am AT LEAST 6+4 (I thought I was 7 weeks today!). I know that I'm 6+4 at least because I had CD21 tests done and my progesterone was 14, so I had ovulated by then and my progesterone had started to rise, even if it was late! Even if I had conceived on cd21, this would put me at 6+4. So I'm concerned that the embryo is measuring quite small...
Anyway, at least there is a heartbeat, so I can stop worrying a little about the spots of blood. I think I may have an early private scan in a couple of weeks, just to check that it's still growing and progressing. Such a worrying time! x x x
