Hi ladies,

I've been TTC2 for 1.5 years and I've just found out I'm pregnant Smile 1 day before Xmas eve! Best present ever! Anyone else celebrating a bfp this Christmas? I've already had to dodge chocolate mousse, champagne and Stilton...all worth it though!! Grin

Cat I am advanced. Instructor said she's had girls up to 7 months still doing it (with some modifications!).

She said it was definitely the right thing to do to tell her so that she knows not to push me too hard and she can offer alternatives.

Both of my private early scans were abdominal, nhs ones were internal. Not sure why the difference.

Cupcakes sorry you're having a crap time. We had Ddog pts last May. She was 14 and it was heartbreaking. As for feeding toddlers - sandwiches, crisps and jelly and ice cream are low cost and easy Smile

Butterflies100 · 19/01/2016 09:01

Morning all

Cupcakes- do you have a friend that could give you a hand? Split all junk between bin and charity bags and get it sorted? Or your MIL when she arrives...she'll have to help if she wants anywhere to sleep!

My hair has gone mega greasy too. I've even styled and blow dried it this morning but still feels crap. I'm sick of dry heaving too and utterly exhausted even with 10 hours sleep. Also my left boob is considerably bigger than my right!!! Wtf that all about??

You lot have inspired me to go buy maternity leggings. Jeans are getting a bit tight and uncomfortable. I've done no exercise since I found out baby on the way, despite me being quite keen before, although that was more about being able to fit into my wedding dress last October! I figure once I'm over this extreme exhaustion and sickness I'll start swimming and gym again.

Right, I'm going to attempt to eat a yoghurt and ginger biscuit and hope that I don't barf again. Have a good day all x

Kitkatmonster · 19/01/2016 09:09

I brought back my morning cups of tea Sad and now I have an hour before I need to leave for a meeting and I don't want more tea. I drink tons of tea (decaff now), it's my daily staple. Not quite sure what to do with myself. Water won't cut it. I don't want tea and I don't want to not have tea! I really do want today over with quickly.

FrazzleRock · 19/01/2016 09:16

cupcakes I'm sorry about your lovely dog and you're feeling so rubbish. You need to go and treat yourself somehow Flowers

FrazzleRock · 19/01/2016 09:17

Morning all!

I'm so pleased we're all talking about exercise as I'm a keen runner. I'm going for a run today, probably on the treadmill though as it's fucking freeeeeezing out there. I had to google if it was safe to do weights and sit ups and it seems it is. I've no idea why I'm being so bloody precious this time round. I didn't give a monkeys with the DS's, actually, not sure if I was such a big runner back then though...

Cla4e124 - I've been getting the odd back twinge. Not really painful, just uncomfortable feeling like I need to stretch it out. I think it's just ligaments and things moving around. I wouldn't worry Smile

FrazzleRock · 19/01/2016 09:20

oh and I have already bought some maternity stuff in sale at ASOS and New Look. Thought I'd take advantage of the sale prices and put them away until I really need them in about a week

FrazzleRock · 19/01/2016 09:21

kitkat Sorry poppet. That really does suck. Ginger biscuits? Dry cream crackers? Or is it a drink you want?

rachywhite83 · 19/01/2016 09:23

Greasy hair is the name of the game here. I'm knackered bloated and really vivid dreams. I'm also a emotional wreck and can't stop crying.Oh well ready to do another day potty training!

FrazzleRock · 19/01/2016 09:23

butterflies My left is also much bigger. It's hilarious. Have they grown much? Mine really hurt now and again. They kept me awake the other night. My mate at work hugged me too tight yesterday morning and I yelped in pain!

I will stop drip posting now Wink

Kitkatmonster · 19/01/2016 09:24

Ah frazzle I don't know what I want! I'm thinking of leaving early, going via Starbucks and getting myself a big decaff hazelnut latte and a ridiculously calorific cake keeping fingers crossed that doesn't make me sick...

FrazzleRock · 19/01/2016 09:25

Ok one last drip post.
rachy The crying is tedious isn't it? I balled my eyes out when Charlie from Eastenders died (I'm not a cryer). I also cried on my way to work this morning just listening to Tame Impala. I have no idea why!!

Right, better get back to work!

Butterflies100 · 19/01/2016 10:06

Frazzle- yes I think at least a cup size bigger and sooo heavy. Hope nobody can notice my unevenness!!

Kitkat- only hot drinks I can stomach is slice of lemon in hot water or hot orange squash. Try that?

zeeka · 19/01/2016 10:14

fifi exciting:) will be watching your updates!! The dark line could be a sign. My doctor was amazed by my levels when I tested last time, but I was utterly clueless and had no idea it might mean twins!
My gym advises against insanity class when you're pregnant. I am just too lazy to contemplate it at any time! I like yoga though Smile

Annarose2014 · 19/01/2016 11:07

My boobs are killing me! Nausea hasnt properly kicked in yet (on Wk 5 & it really hit Wk 6 last time) so I'm feeling pretty good thus far apart from the boobs and the fatigue. Dear God the fatigue!

Interesting re: greasy hair. Last time my hair went the other way entirely and I actually had to remind myself to wash it every few days. It was utter bliss as I've always been oily. I was very sad when it went back to oily very quickly after birth! I had a boy by the way - let the gender theories commence!! Grin

I havent noticed any difference so far but it'll be interesting to see which way it goes. I hope its the same as I dont have the energy to wash it every day.

I am not thinking about maternity clothes till 12 weeks. I'm too nervous. I have a big bin bag up in the attic but they're quite summery and theres nothing that would be suitable for Feb/March anyway. I'm not taking them down until I hear a heartbeat! I'm wearing my "fat" jeans and hoping they'll last me a while.

I do have an enormous wishlist on ASOS though. Oh, a warning to those who are looking at the "Kate" dress (i.e. The one K Midd wore first time round). Its very clingy and very booby so you have to be very slight of build otherwise it looks a bit revealing. Really shows your bellybutton. Hmm I'm gonna try and make it work in the earlier months this time but will still have to wear a top underneath. Post 20 weeks, I couldnt wear it at all.

genome · 19/01/2016 11:37

I'm a bit nervous now zeeka...my line was really dark and I've been really nauseous this time, when I hardly suffered with dd1&2. I also look about 4 months pregnant, but that's probably the effect of two previous pregnancies on my poor stomach muscles Shock

nailsathome · 19/01/2016 11:43

I'm worried too - I had a line on cd27! I've been concerned about twins too

zeeka · 19/01/2016 12:09

Grin there's got to be at least one multiple pregnancy in this thread! I'll be a bit envious.. I have an irrational desire to have another set of twins! Mainly because my partner says this is the last one, I suppose. I feel much better than last time (so far) so I'm convinced there was only one egg this time.

ThatsNotEvenAWord · 19/01/2016 12:23

kitkat what about black tea? I could only drink black earl grey in last pregnancy, I think it was the milk making me feel ill. along with everything else on the planet

Fifi10 · 19/01/2016 13:11

Back from my first midwife appt. Had to sit and fill in my forms on my own in the waiting room. When I finally got to see the midwife I fainted and made a fool of myself Blush

No scan date, was told they are 'really busy' so might not be until 14 weeks.... This isn't even in line with NICE guidelines so I'm a little bit....frustrated!

Also been told I have to be under consultant throughout, though even this doesn't mean I get a scan soon.

Fifi10 · 19/01/2016 13:11

Sorry for the moan.

Newtothevillage · 19/01/2016 13:23

Hi Ladies,

For the list (think i've been missed off)

Newtothevillage DC1 EDD 5/09/16 in Herts.

Fifi why did they say you have to be under consultant throughout?

Fifi10 · 19/01/2016 13:27

I have Ehlers Danloss (joint hypermobility) and am under investigation for POTS which is a tachycardia thing affected by posture/ getting hot (Sounds like a made up condition lol!)

Lilliana · 19/01/2016 14:04

Maybe try peppermint tea. Helped my nausea last time.

The scan timings is rubbish Fifi. Not sure what you can do about it apart from a private scan if you can afford it. Do you think kicking off would help or are they honestly that jammed?

Unreliablepat · 19/01/2016 14:18

Hi all this is my first MN post although I have been a major lurker since having DS 2 years ago!

We have been trying for DC2 for 6 months and had a positive test on Saturday. Excited but quite nervous as haven't had many symptoms yet except slightly bigger boobs.

Can't wait to tell family if all is well after scan as I was v unwell last year with crohns disease and had to have major surgery which caused everyone a lot of worry so will be nice to give them some good news!

Info for the list:

Unreliablepat DC2, EDD 21/9/16, Berkshire

chillthefXXkout · 19/01/2016 14:20

Hello! Does anyone have the occasional panic about 'not feeling pregnant enough' or am I just completely bananas? I did a clear blue digi which said conception was about 2-3 weeks ago, so I think I'm around 4 weeks...my boobs have been killing me but they don't seem so sore today so now of course I'm starting to worry.... Confused

Waiting for GP appointment on Friday morning to get the ball rolling...time seems to be going really slowly!

I've been chuffed to see that other ladies are still going to exercise, I was really nervous about going for a run but you've inspired me. I always go slow and not for that long (too lazy), but it helps clear the head.

For the list it's my DC1 (so utterly clueless) and EDD is still ???
