Hi ladies,

I've been TTC2 for 1.5 years and I've just found out I'm pregnant Smile 1 day before Xmas eve! Best present ever! Anyone else celebrating a bfp this Christmas? I've already had to dodge chocolate mousse, champagne and Stilton...all worth it though!! Grin

How are you lovely ladies feeling?

Looking for a bit of reassurance. Had a fair bit of discharge past couple of days (mostly clear or light in colour) and last noticed that it was light brown in colour and quite creamy/thick (sorry to those of you feeling nauseous). We had sex Tues night, so wonder if that caused it. Seems to be gone this morning.

Has anyone else had this?

I know spotting is something lots of women get in early pregnancy, but I'm sure you know how it is - every little twinge or change in your body frightens you and makes you think something has gone wrong!

Annarose2014 · 15/01/2016 11:44

Yeah that was prob just friction. You get loads of mucus in pregnancy, its one of the less appealing aspects - having to wear a pantyliner throughout!

Butterflies100 · 15/01/2016 12:08

Hi all, glad all is ok sausage. I had my scan this morning too, transvaginal but didn't hurt a bit and I'm glad to say all is ok. Saw the heart beating too! So happy that she fully checked me out and all is ok. If anybody is worried I'd say go have one done, it was a bargain for £60! I even have a EDD now of 8th September!!

nailsathome · 15/01/2016 12:31

Yay butterflies good news

wineandcheeseplease · 15/01/2016 12:44

I'm having a transvaginal scan on tuesday (due to ivf). I'm so excited!

Also feeling a bit better now, glad I came to work haha!!

wornoutboots · 15/01/2016 14:44

hello. Due date 9th september.
5th pregnancy, currently have 3 children.

this won't be entirely real until I see a heartbeat, so don't expect much participation from me until then unless I'm freaking out.

Have been mumsnet as ebwy for a while, felt like a name change.

FrazzleRock · 15/01/2016 14:55

Hi guys,
I've still not had a chance to read through (sorry, I'm looking forward to doing so tonight once the DC are in bed!)

Just wanted to say, I had an early dating scan this morning and am panicking a little. They couldn't find anything at all. Sonographer said very normal if it's too early but also not ruling out ectopic.
Had a blood test, gotta go back on Sunday morning for another to see if hormone has doubled. Result on Monday.
I'm climbing the walls. I know there's absolutely nothing I can do but wait and try not to worry, but I am worried. It was a very faint test on Monday but Clear Blue the following day said "pregnant" 1-2 weeks ( though not sure how 1-2 weeks is possible seeing as that's the first half of cycle??)

Anyway, I also found out I have a tilted uterus so I'm wondering if that could be hiding the little'un?

Would I be mad to test again tomorrow and Sunday to see if the line is darker?
Jeez, the perils of testing too early eh...

balalalala · 15/01/2016 15:00

The clearblue tells you the date from conception so you would need to add 2 weeks to that. Hope all is ok.

FrazzleRock · 15/01/2016 15:11

Ah I see balalalala that makes sense.
Thank you Smile

Sausage2229 · 15/01/2016 15:28

Crossing everything for you fraggle. I'm being scanned again in 2 weeks. There was only a sac today so hoping for something more next time.

Sausage2229 · 15/01/2016 15:28

Frazzle...

FrazzleRock · 15/01/2016 15:40

Thanks Sausage. Gosh, you too. It's hard work all this, isn't it!

nailsathome · 15/01/2016 15:40

I wouldn't go for a scan before 8 weeks for exactly that reason - I'd also be freaking out if there was only a sac even though that's all there would be!

Sorry you're stressing Frazzle. I've done 3 tests so far and will probably do another one tomorrow!

FrazzleRock · 15/01/2016 15:52

I know, it's crazy really. But because of PCOS I have absolutely no way of knowing my EDD unless I went for an early scan.

I had an early scan at 6+4 with DS2 which showed a little blob. I guess, I must be just very very early (3-4 weeks?). I'm amazed how good tests are these days to pick it up so early.

Lilliana · 15/01/2016 17:22

Sorry you're going through this Frazzle it's easy to say don't worry but hard to do! I hope all is ok. Yes cb is from conception but they are not that accurate when it comes to weeks.

yay for a heartbeat butterfies that's great!

Sounds good sausage

Hi Boots there is a page for those pregnant after mc going. I can't like on my phone but it is linked a few pages back. There are quite a few of us there and you're very welcome to join us if you want. Hope you have a very boring pregnancy!

icklekid · 15/01/2016 17:26

frazzle I know exactly how it feels as I had bloods last Thursday and had to wait until Monday for results. I was a wreck but hormone levels had doubled so all fine for now. Hope the same is true for you but totally understand the feeling of anxiety! I would avoid retesting if you can

Glad othera scans seem to have all been OK.

I've gone back onto cyclazine which was on last pregnancy as wasn't able to keep any food down. One cold riden ds has meant a lovely 2 1/2h nap this afternoon followed by a cuddly lump sat on me at the moment!

Annarose2014 · 15/01/2016 17:49

Cuddly lumps are the best!

I should probably mention I've been put on progesterone suppositories, just in case anyone else finds they need to do the same.

It's not too bad - they're basically tampons, so less horrible than I feared.

Kitkatmonster · 15/01/2016 17:54

Ohhhh, just need to share - and can't in real life (plus it sounds so weird) - I've finally been sick. 6+5. Note to self - never again try to ward off the nausea by eating half a box of cheese twists. Kind of glad - in the hope it's an indication all is well (and baby does not appreciate cheese twists). Now I'm back to feeling nauseous again though and I have to take my other kidlets to swimming lesson in 10 minutes time :-/

FrazzleRock · 15/01/2016 19:08

Thank you lilliana and thanks icklekid that's very reassuring to read.

I'm feeling positive I think... I am getting slight symptoms like in the loo all the time - day and night, also very dry mouth, and my tummy feels swollen so I guess my uterus has grown a bit to make room and pushed things forward slightly. Also I cry so easily. Never cried so much! And I am not a crier generally.

kitkat oooohhhh well, as awful as it is to be throwing up, I guess it's nice to have a good symptom like that! Though I'm sure it'll get tiresome. I didn't have sickness with my 1st 2 DC, slight nausea now and then but no actual vomiting.
I hope you've got a bowl with you or you'll be puking in the pool!

FrazzleRock · 15/01/2016 19:10

Wow, nine years on Mumsnet and forgotten how to wink...
Wink

That's better.

peardrop2 · 15/01/2016 21:22

You should not worry too much if you experience a little blood loss as there can be many causes for this. Old blood from when fertilization occurred and also blood vessels burst during intercourse can cause a spotting of blood or a pinkish discharge which shouldn't cause any pain.

peardrop2 · 15/01/2016 22:37

Frazzle - I don't know if my experience will reassure you but with dS I experienced chronic constipation from 12dpo which stopped me from sleeping for 3 nights in a row it was that bad. I was 2-3 weeks and they did a vaginal what what scan and found nothing. I stayed overnight in hospital so they could rule out ectopic and my bloods rose the next day so I was discharged. 2 weeks later I saw a sac on the screen when I was 4-5 weeks and then I saw baby at the 7-8 weeks scan. In the end it was just very bad constipation that was causing all the pain which is just batty because I honestly have never felt anything like it before. Anyway, to me it sounds like you're just too early to see anything on screen but I know you will worry anyway...I would too Wink

TG I haven't experienced chronic constipation in this pregnancy...that was not a pleasant experience! I think it must have just been my body adapting to being pregnant for the first time. As they say once you've done it once... the door is left a jar and nothing is quite the same second time round Blush

I'm exhausted from a very long walk and having to carry dS a lot today! I ended up telling him that he had to go in his pushchair because of the baby in mummy's tummy Confused It worked tg. Today I've been having cramps from not drinking enough water and sore tingly boobs. Quite grateful to have some sort of symptom! Right, bed!!

Insomnia!! Anyone else? With DS being up in the night, DH snoring and then needing to pee whenever I do wake up. Bleurgh. I've caught DS's revolting cold as well so feeling right royally sorry for myself. 6+1 today though, Happy Saturday everyone!

peardrop2 · 16/01/2016 07:40

Guess that was me yesterday minus the cold but I'm sure that is on the way!!! Smile

Insomnia... YES! Wide awake anywhere between 2am and 4am for the last five nights!
