Hi ladies,

I've been TTC2 for 1.5 years and I've just found out I'm pregnant Smile 1 day before Xmas eve! Best present ever! Anyone else celebrating a bfp this Christmas? I've already had to dodge chocolate mousse, champagne and Stilton...all worth it though!! Grin

No erin I feel exactly the same!

FrazzleRock · 14/01/2016 19:07

Hi all. We only found out on Monday we're expecting a baby. Absolutely massive shock, given PCOS and previous trouble TTC (with ex H). Which eventually produced two wonderful DS's. This will be DP's first and the news is slowly sinking in!
We have our dating scan tomorrow morning as PCOS makes it impossible to guess.
I think I'm about 5 weeks based on implantation bleed. Will find out tomorrow though.
I notice people on here are worried they'll be told there's nothing there. I feel exactly the same. Just doesn't seem real.
Only symptoms I have thus far are a raging thirst, hungry most of the time, and pea-sized bladder.

I'll have a read through all your posts but I just wanted to introduce myself and mark my place.
Congrats everyone!

I'm planning a list of things to do before baby is born: with my kids, as a couple and alone. I need to plan something as planning baby-related stuff needs to wait a while, so fulfilling my planning ahead urge! I already treasure my full night's sleep, so that's ticked off! Weekend away... Camping. Any suggestions?

zeeka · 14/01/2016 19:15

Congratulations frazzle!!

Jen1122 · 14/01/2016 19:16

Hi all I'm new to this site and pregnancy. Found out last week and I think I'm around 5 weeks. No symptoms apart from sore boobs and feeling nauseas but I don't know if that's my imagination as I am expecting the sickness to happen soon. So exciting though

zeeka · 14/01/2016 19:16

And congrats Erin!

Kitkatmonster · 14/01/2016 19:58

Hi to all the newcomers! zeeka how old are your other children? I've just booked Feb half term off because I want to do as much as possible with them this year, before I am restricted! It's also my eldest's final year at primary so I feel like we should have a really good, fun time in the holidays etc. I'm not sure what we'll be doing yet though! I'm desperate to have one last sunshine holiday without a baby, so fingers crossed all goes well and we can go at the start of the school holidays :) strangely, I also feel like I should make more effort while I still can, with things like my hair, nails etc! This is odd, because generally I don't care!!!

nailsathome · 14/01/2016 20:04

Congrats newcomers Smile

MillieMoodle · 14/01/2016 20:23

Congrats to those who have just joined us Smile

I am still feeling nauseous on and off all day. Have been more tired than ever before this week, I can barely function or concentrate on anything, it's ridiculous.

Had a text from the midwife earlier asking me to confirm the date of my last period so she can book me in for a scan, which I replied to but then didn't hear any more. Hopefully I'll get a letter fairly soon with a scan date. Booking in appointment is next Friday.

Hope everyone is feeling well Smile

peardrop2 · 14/01/2016 20:49

Wow this thread is growing Smile I can't keep up!

Lovely idea to make a list of things you want to do with children & DH before baby arrives. I might follow!

Could not feel less pregnant today Confused I've brought a new tube of ultrasound gel for my Doppler. Last time I found a heartbeat at 8 + 6 days. I will try at this time again. Only 2 weeks to wait!

Millie - that's pretty cool that your midwife texts you! Can't believe I have to wait until Feb to see my midwife Sad

ChocolateTeacup · 14/01/2016 21:15

I have an early reassurance scan tomorrow so worried and excited at the same time!

MillieMoodle · 14/01/2016 21:37

Pear drop - I was not expecting it! I wondered if there's a bit of a backlog at the hospital so they are trying to get scans sorted ASAP.

Good luck to all those who have scans tomorrow, hope all goes well.

Kitkatmonster · 14/01/2016 21:43

I can't wait to get a scan date. Really hoping it might be in Feb half term so I can tell the kids while we're off together and have a photo to show them! I have midwife appt on 22 Jan, the surgery did offer me tomorrow but I already had work commitments in the diary. I can't remember how long it takes between booking in and scan date arriving. The early days go very slowly...

zeeka · 14/01/2016 22:21

Kitkat I have 8 year old twins (also with September birthdays.... I think identical edd so far... Weird!) how old are yours? I must look up half term dates! I want to go on holiday too... Need to sell some undiscovered priceless items on eBay or work more hours though! Hoping to get to italy early summer. Will be lovely to eat loads of ice cream and plan for breastfeeding weightloss programme :)

wineandcheeseplease · 15/01/2016 06:39

Oh my word I feel awful. I constantly feel like I'm going to be sick but can't be. I don't know how I'll get through today at work. But I can't call in sick for this can I! Urgh!

Lilliana · 15/01/2016 06:59

I don't think it will work for full on sickness but wearing travel bands helped with the nausea last time.

Butterflies100 · 15/01/2016 07:08

Hi Wineandcheese that's exactly how I feel. Which in turn makes me feel so crappy...like a bus has hit me. Dry heaving is worse than being sick. Off for the scan today (I brought it forward for various reasons, main one being the dh family stopping with us this weekend and if we don't tell I'm sure they'll guess the way I am) so hoping and praying the scan will show something and let me pin a bit more accurately my dd. Fingers, toes etc crossed cos I am so scared.

Hello and congratulations to all new people xx

icklekid · 15/01/2016 07:22

wineandcheese I was off wed for sickness because I really couldn't have functioned. Didn't have a single day off last pregnancy despite similar sickness however this time need to put ds1 and me first!

zeeka camping whilst heavily pregnant are you mad? Italy on the other hand sounds perfect! I'm trying to persuade dh we should go early summer as not been abroad for years! His argument about having an extension and baby costing money are all just going over my head!

Good luck with scan butterflies and anyone else soon. Not at all jealous...!

zeeka · 15/01/2016 10:10

I reckon camping would be good in the 2nd trimester! Maybe not in the 8th month though Smile We will need some sort of extension in the future, 3 kids in one room may be a bit optimistic...

Sausage2229 · 15/01/2016 10:32

Hello Ladies. Had my scan this morning due to extreme pains and shoulder pain. Pleased to say all is well. I had absolutely convinced myself that the pregnancy was eptopic so was really really scared. The scan was internal which was fine.
I will be rescanned in 2 weeks. She thought I might be more like 5 weeks than 6 but no new EDD yet. Couldn't see anything other than a yolk sac but she seemed happy with that.
Got to try and relax now!! Xx

zeeka · 15/01/2016 10:37

OTheHugeManatee · 15/01/2016 10:51
