Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 43rd grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 42nd grads thread is HERE

The thread we have graduated from is HERE in its 56th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread HERE
for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

HERE is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates. (Except it's not because I don't know how to link to the stats sheet!)

pee yes I got that pain! Quite sharp sometimes too. Think it was ligaments. Thanks for the fanjo flags and glad you are feeling better.

Peenut · 12/01/2016 16:14

Ah, just scrolled back a bit further –congrats on house keys Kate. It's all go! (Don't think I mentioned but me and Kate figured out we live basically round the corner from each other!) Hope you aren't lifting any boxes, just pointing where heavy items need to go while drinking tea!

Ah, that's reassuring you got it too Pretz ... feeling very giddy about stretchy ligaments ... would quite like a bump now rather than the flabbiness I currently have! Sat working with my jeans undone and belly hanging free!

Also excited as going to ring my fave aunty to tell her I am preggo later on – I've been surprisingly secretive since scan ... I thought I'd be telling everyone but that caution of first twelve weeks is hard to get over! I work in a shared studio space and haven't found the right moment to tell everyone yet. I just feel a bit lost for words short of shouting I AM PREGNANT!

Might just sod it and do that tomorrow! I also need to tell work and have put it off until the last possible minute ... have a meeting Thursday and I need to tell them before I show up as we'll be discussing schedules!

5hell · 12/01/2016 16:19

happy nesting pretz and enjoy your dinner tonight - I'm sure they all love you already, as we do!

glad you're feeling good pee - enjoy it!

carrot hope your fanny daggers pass asap!

...I think my 2nd tri golden phase is coming to an end...another crap night last night despite doing everything "right" (went up to bed early, relaxed with my womanly art of bfing book, no screens etc etc) but restless legs and ARMS (wtf?!?!) were having none of it. Also having a bit of rib pain - esp at work (too much sitting i think) ...Hoping yoga tonight helps both problems a bit.

Last bit of moan from me today...am getting a bit fed up of friends and colleagues saying "you just wait... / soon you'll only talk about x / soon you'll never have another lie in / soon your whole life will be x / you'll definitely want to co-sleep / buy this" etc etc. I'm not an IDIOT! I know things will change! but i also know all babies are different! I know they mean well but it's just all said in a bit of a smug/knowing/annoying way! Angry

to end on a positive...it's quite nice that (generally) people are kinder when you're pregnant and smile at you more

Peenut · 12/01/2016 16:38

Aw, that's nice that people smile at you more 5hell! But yes, that –you do know that babies don't come out ready sleep and toilet trained, don't you?–speech is flipping annoying.

When my friend starting telling me about her baby's routine and I said that obviously a routine in the end would be good but I didn't want to be a slave to it all the time if it meant missing something fun as a family, she did the whole just you wait, mark my words thing. (She might be right of course and I'll look back and scoff at how unprepared and naive I was before telling a poor pregnant friend they have no idea what they have just got involved in!)

Sorry to hear about your restless arms/legs sleeplessness –being awake in the middle of the night sucks! Hope yoga helps this eve, I always feel like jelly after a good stretch. In a good floppy way!

FeatheredTail · 12/01/2016 17:19

YES Pee - standing up for long periods is the worst, particularly at the end of the day. Nice work on the 14 week turnaround - I think my turning point was around 15/16 weeks. You're right, it really does feel like a re-awakening compared to the first chunk of pregnancy.

CarrotPuff · 12/01/2016 17:20

It doesn't feel like SPD, more like ligaments, or like Gouda said baby's head pressing on something. I think I only get it when it moves while I'm walking...

Did I say congrats on the house Kate? Congrats!

My only pair of over bump jeans got ripped over the weekend... I neatly cried! I really want to get some black bootcut jeans but can't find any! There are some on Next but the reviews are crap Confused I think I'll go to H&M that has maternity wear, they had something I was looking for on the website, and if they don't have those ones in store I'll just buy some skinnies again, although I don't like them that much because my legs are too fat

fruitlovingmonkey · 12/01/2016 17:25

Sounds painful Carrot, are you still doing the physio group?
Hooray for feeling good again Peenut! I felt a bit awkward about telling work people too, but they've all been great and really excited for me.
Shell I hear you on the rant. I've had 5 years of it from the outlaws. The stupid thing is, I know it will continue "wait until you have a toddler", "imagine if you had 3 children" yada yada yada, fuck off!
Enjoy your dinner pretz, no doubt there are others who are worried about making friends.
I just ate 2 mini packs of Oreos misses point of mini packets

FeatheredTail · 12/01/2016 17:27

5hell! THIS! F* me, if I hear this one more time I won't be responsible for my actions!!! ---->

am getting a bit fed up of friends and colleagues saying "you just wait... / soon you'll only talk about x / soon you'll never have another lie in / soon your whole life will be x / you'll definitely want to co-sleep / buy this" etc etc. I'm not an IDIOT!

Another annoying one "You won't have another holiday for a long time!" Er- yeah I will, dicks, how about that?

Sorry. Rather aggressive and crude, but it really gets my freaking goat when someone attempts to point out the bleeding obvious or assume they know what kind of parent/family you'll become. It's like they're trying to piss on your parade!

fruitlovingmonkey · 12/01/2016 17:29

Haha feathered that really made me laugh Grin

goodnessgraciousgoudaoriginal · 12/01/2016 17:31

carrot - I'd really recommend the straight leg h and m over the bump jeans. I HATED the skinnies, but that might just be me. Their sizing recommendations seem pretty spot on as well - I was true to size in the second trimester when first trying them on, but had to go up a size in the third trimester when I actually bought them. They aren't expensive though, and are super comfortable.

5hell - What is restless leg thing like? I've seen it mentioned in a few places but it seems very mysterious! Sorry to hear that you're sleeping badly. Hopefully you will also get the "sleeping like a log" phases to make up for it a bit later on.

On the unsolicited advice, I honestly think people can't help themselves - it's like some sort of bizarre human behaviour that is genetically imprinted! I've managed to avoid it, so probably can't appreciate quite how fucking irritating it is, but I think people are often perhaps shell shocked by it all, and feel the need to highlight it to others. And the smugness comes from the fact they know they are on the other side Grin

pretzelpieces · 12/01/2016 17:52

Dinner with nct ladies is tomorrow night. I'm a dimwit. Thanks for all the luck, I will carry it over to tomorrow!

Sorry you're not sleeping well 5hell and hope it's a shortish phase.

So agree on hating the "just you wait" crowd. And it never ends. There's always someone who's been there done that and wants to piss all over your current situation. I see it on friends Facebook pages when they have kids of all ages. "Wait till they eat solids, go to school, move out, get married, die!" it's fucking ridiculous and rude.

5hell · 12/01/2016 18:14

thanks for the empathy all - glad it's not just me! ...well obviously i dont want to wish that annoyance on others, but you know what i mean ;)

gouda restless legs is weird, i've had it since i was a teenager, but only in pregnancy is it really bothering me in bed, it used to be more on long journeys/theatre/cinema sort of thing. I get a sort of tingling/fidgetty feeling in leg/legs and HAVE to move them. If I dont move the offending limb the 'feeling' just gets worse and i can almost feel the irritation travelling up my spine, and it makes me feel a bit weird. The sensation makes me think it's related to nerves/circulation/both. V annoying!

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 12/01/2016 18:20

Welcome back pee and congrats kate!

pretz hope you have a luffly time at dinner.

carrot I meant I think my fanny daggers and assorted symptoms are SPD/PGP not yours. Wouldn't dream of diagnosing another person especially over the interwebs Grin I think a moderate amount of discomfort is par for the course on this pregnancy lark... always best to ask the mudwife or doc if you're worried though.

NFMD seasoned potato wedges and burgers with cheese, dill pickle, jalepenos and dijonnaise... so excited!

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 12/01/2016 18:21

Grin at mudwife! Midwife obvs... not sure what a mudwife would do?!

KateBeckett · 12/01/2016 19:56

Ooh thanks for all the congrats! nif it's not really house porn worthy tbh! We like it, but it is teeny tiny!! Still, we're excited about being able to decorate and make it our own little cozy home Smile

pee glad you're starting to feel better! I now have lots more energy (and patience with the kids at work ha!) and I've even had a few days where I haven't vommed! Whoo!

5hell that sounds hideous... I've had the opposite- most of the people in my phase at work are younger than me so they keep asking loads of questions.

pretz good luck for tomorrow. I'm sure you'll have fun, but I would feel so nervous! I'm not great at making friends... Great once I know people though!

waves Pom poms for some more babies soooon!

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 12/01/2016 20:18

Also 5hell people are the worst. DD is nearly 6 and the school run is TORTURE. I get at least 3 faux concerned comments a day from people I barely know. It is massively irritating. I've started being very curt whenever anyone asks about pregnancy and that seems to help. The repeat offenders I smile in the direction of, say hi, and avoid eye contact. I am a real charmer Grin

FeatheredTail · 12/01/2016 20:23

I love a cost house Kate! Ours is quite cost in size (sadly not in temperature). Glad you're feeling lots better - hurrah for reduced vomming!

5hell that sounds horrid - could you need more support than your mattress is offering or extra pillows?

Sky you're dinner has put me in a huge sulk. I want burgers. I want cheese and pickle. I want wedges. WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! Swap you my spaghetti with roast cherry toms, garlic, parsley and chilli?

FeatheredTail · 12/01/2016 20:24

*your not you're ....urgh!!!

jellypi3 · 12/01/2016 20:42

I've been slacking on the house porn, will make up for it soon I promise!

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 12/01/2016 20:49

Ooooh feathered that sounds nice tooooooo... Smile

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 12/01/2016 20:56

So excited! I went round to next door neighbors to discuss scaffolding for loft conversion the other day and it turns out they have a bugaboo bee and a maxi cosi pearl with isofix base they wanted to get rid of. They sold us the lot for £250! We have a maxi cosi canriofix already so we are now sorted until minisky is 3 or 4! Hooray! I feel bad for DP though as I have kept most of DDs baby things so the only thing he got to pick out was a Beaba Expresso Bottle Prep 3 in 1... which I secretly don't think we need but it'll look cool in the kitchen.

ThursdayLastWeek · 12/01/2016 21:26

I haven't had restless legs quite so badly this time as last - touch wood.

5hell apparently the quinine in tonic water helps to reduce the symptoms if that's any good to you?

jellypi3 · 12/01/2016 21:39

Wow amazing bargain sky!! So exciting!

We visited the MLU and delivery suites in our hospital today. I loved the MLU rooms. Really hope I get to go there

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 12/01/2016 22:28

Hospital visit is so exciting jelly! You are meeting jellybaby so soon. It is making me a bit weepy!

Peenut · 12/01/2016 22:48

😂 Pretz: "Wait till they eat solids, go to school, move out, get married, die!" it's fucking ridiculous and rude.

Sorry that really made me laugh! But I've realised I need to give myself a hooyah! Over Christmas I gave a non pregnant friend who has yet to decide to have kids a knowing look and told her to enjoy the wine she was drinking while she still could. Oh no! I'm one of those people! Or maybe I can claw myself back before I get to the 'you don't know you are born stage!'

gently slaps self about face

Sky dinner sounds ace and ha ha! Mudwife! Excellent typo!

Jelly MLU sounds nice - fingers crossed you get to go there :)

Just told my lovely Aunty the news and she sounded so surprised and delighted it's really brightened my day - also so shocked my mum has actually managed to keep a secret!!!
