Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 43rd grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 42nd grads thread is HERE

The thread we have graduated from is HERE in its 56th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread HERE
for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

HERE is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates. (Except it's not because I don't know how to link to the stats sheet!)

Hmmm, could be Pretzel, you are also pregnant which is probably making you tired. You are stuck between a rock and a hard place really. Remember that you may well put on 1lb a week from now on. I was right t the bottom of the recommended weight gain and still had an almost 8lber with a massive head which is a good size for a Mum my size if that makes sense? There were also lots of babies in the hospital much smaller than baby pud and not in nicu etc. So basically, try not to worry!

5hell · 02/01/2016 08:10

Oh kate he sounds like a prize wankbadger!! So many people really don't think at all before they open their mouths! Angry

Hmm that's a tricky one pretz (and no, didn't sound boasty Wink ) I guess some fatigue is normal so it's v hard to differentiate what's too much and due to more than just pg!? Can u up your protein a little to see if that helps? Presumably after babypretz is born you'll immediately be able to eat whatever the fuck u like, so take snacks!!? Grin

Decent nights sleep for once (hooray!!!) But still coughing (boo). Friends n kids leave today so planning a lazyish day plus Star Wars (if I can sooth the cough for long enough)

honeysucklejasmine · 02/01/2016 09:17

Pretzel you've done so well conquering your brain weasles regarding weight gain. Now you need to try to avoid letting new ones in. You're bump is measuring within expected range. You are being monitored anyway so you don't need to give it any head space at all. None. Do not obsess over the numbers or worry about any part of your body. You know that gives the weasles something to do, makes them think they are important. They aren't. Agree you can up your protein intake if you want to but being exhausted seems to be a pretty universal pregnancy issue, so don't let it feed the weasles! (In short... Kill the weasles.)

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 02/01/2016 11:19

Narwhal pics to come. I didn't get any good selfies but other people took pics so as soon as I get them I will post to FB group. I even won a bottle of schnapps in a walk off that night which I donated to my table and gave a toast to the groom... It was super fun.

pretz you need to give yourself lots of credit for being so strong. You have accomplished so much already. Being next level tired is a normal pregnancy thing but it does stink. Protein and iron seem to be what help me the most... plus lots of naps and the odd cuppa. Sending Flowers

goodnessgraciousgoudaoriginal · 02/01/2016 11:27

Happy New year to everybody!!

ThursdayLastWeek · 02/01/2016 12:01

Happy New Year gouda, you ready?

I've just put my first lot of DS old baby gros and vest through the wash, they were a bit musty after nearly three years in boxes.
Fack! Those things are small! But soooooooooo blummin' cute Smile

Managed to get around parkrun this morning. I took it v easy, the conditions were v slippery but still managed a not too hideous time. I'm not sure I could say I enjoyed it though.

How does GD work pretz? Is it a case of baby out, danger over?
Because if it is, then don't worry about the BFing. How you feel now will have no bearing on that whatsoever, it's a totally separate physical stage.

A large part of BFing success (in healthy, term babies without problems obv) is the mothers determination (IMO obv) - and you've beat the weasels thus far.
After an emcs, I was barely able to stand up, my milk didn't come in for 10 days and DS and I had a successful BFing journey somehow! So even if your birth has more intervention than you'd like, that doesn't gave to be a barrier.
Anyways, sorry that was off topic somewhat.

I think what honey says is great, and I agree with 5hell about upping protein maybe?

Big love.

Thurs how many weeks are you now? Still doing park run? I'm so impressed! Xx

Hobbit19 · 02/01/2016 12:34

Ooh I was so impressed I typed kisses ha ha!

jellypi3 · 02/01/2016 14:15

i can't even think about a park run without parts of my body aching!

pretzelpieces · 02/01/2016 14:15

kate what a fuckwit that man sounds like, sorry I cross posted with you last time so missed what you said.

Ah thanks everyone, you make a lot of sense. If the millions of health professionals I'm seeing aren't concerned (they haven't bothered weighing me since the start) you're right that I shouldn't be. Am eating high protein, three iron tablets a day and decent amount of fat too. You're also right that gd should clear up right after the birth so I'll be stuffing my face then! I expect to gain the weight then that I haven't gained in pregnancy - so I suppose my body will hold onto fat then that it needs for bf-ing/recovery. Thank you thank you viroids. I suspect you're right that a lot of it is head weasels obsessing about the numbers now that I read my post back. Difficult when managing the gd is all about the numbers too - glucose levels, how many g of carbs in everything, etc. I'm looking forward to ditching label reading again soon.

Peenut · 02/01/2016 16:26

Good thinking Pretzel –can't be easy when you've got to monitor labels so closely when that's something that makes you anxious already, but like you say, if the docs aren't worried you shouldn't be either. Hope you feel a bit better, sounds like you do. Flowers (would send Chocolate but not sure you can eat that with GD)

Kate –he sounds well annoying. It's really frustrating when friends end up with nob heads that you have to put up with! Well done for standing up for yourself. I think he prob wanted to embarrass you into being quiet because he was embarrassed and doesn't know how to discuss anything to do with women having babies. Shock horror!

I love a bit of pilates, next time I go hopefully the instructor won't have to keep winking at me not to do stuff and I can just say why I can't swing my legs over my head/ roll wildly on my tummy!

Well done on the Parkrun Thursday, I'm hoping to keep it up as long as I can potter around the course.

In other news, I am FUMING. Just discovered all of DHs extended family are in on the news because MIL thought it was OK to tell his aunty and uncle who have told his 5 billion cousins and therefore presumably some relatives we lovingly refer to as Aunty and Uncle Nobhead. And also nice cousins I know DH would have liked to share his news with in person.

SO fucked off. Her husband outed me a while ago to his kids (I vented about it on here) yet when my SIL was pregnant nobody knew and MIL kept that secret successfully under wraps. I don't get why it's OK to blab about us! Very hurt by it actually.

lildottie · 02/01/2016 20:36

pee that is shocking! Why do people think this is OK!?!

Kate put something uncomfortable under the mattress, that'll teach him!

16+4 and full on arse rain has landed. :(

Peenut · 02/01/2016 20:40

OOOpph Lil poor you! Bum showers!

lildottie · 02/01/2016 21:42

I think the ba y must be having a party. Ive got pains at top of bump and then feels like its dancing on my bowels!

honeysucklejasmine · 02/01/2016 22:13

You can feel movements already Lil? That's pretty good going! welcome to a whole new level of paranoia.

Pee I would be livid.

Had a late Christmas with in laws today - they weren't in the country for the holidays - and have got LOADS of presents. Including a lovely snuggly soft hooded dressing gown which I an thrilled with! I am living in that for the next year for sure.

MIL and SIL both felt baby kicking which was very exciting for them. Baby has been relatively quiet today but is giving me a good kicking now. Smile

5hell · 02/01/2016 22:14

Oh no lil ...hope it doesn't last long!

5hell · 02/01/2016 22:20

Eek!!!...Just bought travel system, car seat & Base - scary shit but exciting ! Grin

Also just been to see Star Wars, it was excellent!

ThursdayLastWeek · 02/01/2016 22:28

Well done 5hell that's a big thing to take the plunge on!
What did you go for?

OP posts:
5hell · 02/01/2016 22:32

Joie i-gemm car seat and Joie chrome plus pram/carrycot etc.
Nothing super fancy, but we were impressed that we managed to figure out everything about the pram in mother care without help :)

ThursdayLastWeek · 02/01/2016 22:35

Ah ok, sounds good Smile, I'm currently looking at the joie stages car seat for DS as he's getting too heavy for his maxi cosi opal.

The 18kg = 4 years old very much not true in our case Angry

OP posts:
lildottie · 02/01/2016 23:12

Not really properly yet honey but I'm getting "ripples" at least once a day ish for the last few days. I'm pretty sure its baby and not my imagination. Tonight though I just feel crap and achy and am fed up of arse rain :(

Yay for purchases 5hell. I'm looking forward to February when we'll be emptying my mums loft and assessing what we have vs what we need! Then I can shop shop shop!

Mermaid36 · 03/01/2016 05:29

Very early Morning Viriods!

I fell off the Fred, argh! Last 2 weeks have been very trying re symptoms, as you can probably tell, I have pregsomnia (woke up at 3am and still awake now Sad, plus my sickness and nausea have ramped up. I'm going to call the Drs on Monday to see if I can get something to help.

Can't believe it's 2016 though!! I get a baby this year!!! (And I turn 36 in less than a week Shock !!!!)

ThursdayLastWeek · 03/01/2016 08:25

I've got my second load of ridiculously small and white baby clothes in the wash, cute cute cute Grin

And DS slept the night through again, hip hip hooray!

OP posts:
honeysucklejasmine · 03/01/2016 08:36

Hooray Thursday! We have sorted all clothes in to appropriate drawers now, just need to keep it up as they get bigger. The plan is when clothes in drawers no longer fit they are packed away in a bag straight away. The shelf above the drawers is for "clothes that don't fit yet" so hopefully will be able to quickly replenish drawers then pop to shops/sales/second hand sites for the next lot.

Dsil said yesterday if we have a girl we can use their clothes (score, they are BEAUTIFUL!) but I will pop a coloured dot on the label so I can return them to her afterwards.

This all sounds perfectly reasonable but involves me being at least 10x more organised than before. Yikes.

Lil movements are exciting! It's odd though, kinda like having a dodgy tummy for weeks on end, with random spasms and rolls! Arse rain will pass especially if you're upping your iron intake.

Baby is having a wriggle this morning. Much better than yesterday's quiet start.
