Thanks Gnomette, that's odd because I spoke to one of the staff from the kitchen and she said it definitely wasn't, she did say something about larger stores possibly being different but I would have expected them to keep everything as one standard. Ah well at least it should be ok next time! :-)

Lovelybeano · 07/12/2015 17:25

rose I'm a 32G so bras are hard to find, I'm going to nip and try some 34Gs to see if they fit better for now won't go for non wire ones until I absolutely have to Grin I need the scaffolding to keep mine secure lol

MollieRos · 07/12/2015 18:03

More lovely scan pictures! Smile

I had a dreadful morning again, must be the curse of Monday as I was really bad last Monday too. I threw up about 5 times this morning, then have felt generally horrible the rest of the day. I was half wondering about going to the GP to see whether they can suggest anything, it's just so annoying that my sickness seems to be getting worse rather than better. But I'm a bit wary of taking any medication if I can avoid it, and I kind of think it's just usual morning sickness so I just need to get on with it!

bikingintherain · 07/12/2015 18:10

rose I've already bought new bras. But like beano am rather generously proportioned on top. My first pregnancy I wore non wireless but then second and this one I'm going to wear underwired until the birth. I found the non wired ones made me really sweaty and smelly! But I think that's just because they're pretty large would give myself a black eye if I went jogging when pregnant.

TattedPixie · 07/12/2015 18:11

Had a day from hell today. Threw up this morning, giving me a massive headache and generally feeling gross. Because of being sick, I've not been able to touch food today and has left me weak as anything. Been in bed all day.
Please tell me it gets better than this

Betty79 · 07/12/2015 18:16

Another good scan here, told the kids who were so excited. I was so emotional when I told the kids I burst out crying and then dd2 was crying with me!

MollieRos · 07/12/2015 18:25

Oh, I forgot- Rose I bought some plain non-underwired ones from Debenhams (the kind you get 2 in a set together). I'm quite flat-chested though so I don't need lots of support! I ended up just going up a band size, which gave me enough extra space in the band and cups. I think I bought them at about 12 weeks, and my boobs haven't grown since then so I'm hoping they'll do me for most of the rest of pregnancy. They're very comfy, but not very flattering!

amysmummy12345 · 07/12/2015 18:27

Hey all, thought I'd check in to say cvs test went well, just waiting on results now, the test was uncomfortable at best 😓 some lively scan photos, we got to see our lil bean again today, it looked to have grown so much since last Monday, praying that each day lil one grows stronger and healthier, p.s ladies with sickness, if its more than a few times a day and your struggling with fluids etc it could be hyperemesis which you can get safe meds for, don't suffer unnecessarily! Pop over to the hyperemesis board too for support... We don't bite, we're too nauseous to 😉 x

AltCarbon · 07/12/2015 18:38

Fingers crossed amys for you. And congratulations to all those with good news today - there are some lovely scan pics.

Friday seems ages to wait for mine - particularly since I'm stuck at home. I'm only able to walk a short distance and even that hurts. I tried to pop out today just to the post office at the end of the street but ended up crying and getting my SIL to come and pick me up. Felt very pathetic!

SliceofLemon · 07/12/2015 18:48

Hello everyone. Also had scan today. It was lovely to see him/her wriggling. All ok as far as we could tell but baby wouldn't cooperate with the NT! So will have to go for quad screen. Just a little frustrated to have to wait longer on that. Was it the same for you iamdivergent?

mrslewis2015 · 07/12/2015 19:07

Gorgeous scans everyone!! Making me very excited for mine!

Completely agree with amys comment, I don't think I had/have Hypermeisis but I wasn't functioning at all with my nausea/wrenching/sickness and I've been taking cyclzine for about a week-week 1/2, and I've felt so much better, actually functioning (most the time) and can eat healthily again! I really didn't want to take anything but I was missing so much work and i don't get paid sick leave etc...

emma85x · 07/12/2015 19:20

Gorgeous scans everyone! How exciting! Congratulations.

Amy I hope you get your results quickly. Thinking of you.

I woke up this morning and had really bad stretching pains. I panicked for a bit but the pains went in a few minutes. Then this evening I've had some odd jelly like discharge. All very odd this pregnancy malarkey! My scan in on Wednesday and we haven't told anyone I'm pregnant just can't wait to spill the beans!! Are any of you experiencing any other odd symptoms?!

pamplem0usse · 07/12/2015 19:26

Any advice ladies: I'm in what effectively is the probationary period of a job. Today my manager wrote in an official report my "sickness was challenging my commitment to the job". She hasn't seemed able to compute the whole time how ill I am: I haven't missed a day of work despite having been through four lots of medication for hypermesis and repeatedly vomiting at work. I haven't been able to do anything 'extra' because I've been in bed by 7.30 once my other two children are in bed. I'm devastated as I've worked so hard for this career and am totally doing my best in less than ideal circumstances :(

pamplem0usse · 07/12/2015 19:27

Amy have been following your cvs stuff on the hypermesis board but have been too ill to post. Keeping everything crossed for you.

MollieRos · 07/12/2015 19:39

Great news Amy I hope the results come quickly for you.

I don't think it's hyperemesis- Once I'm over the throwing up part of my day I eat and drink normally (in fact, eating more than normal as I have to constantly snack to keep the nausea at bay!) so I'm definitely not dehydrated. It is making the days very hard work though feeling sick all the time and lots of dry heaving, perhaps I'll get a GP appointment if it's no better in a week or two. I'm 15 weeks tomorrow, I thought I'd be feeling loads better by now!

emma I had a weird pain the other night- I turned over in bed and suddenly my lower abdomen was really painful if I lay on my back or left side. Then 5 mins later it was fine again!

Pamplem0usse I know for my work they count episodes of pregnancy related sickness differently to other types of sickness (as in, they can't count it against you), is it worth looking through your sick leave/maternity policy to see what it says? They surely have to recognise that you're ill, and there's not a whole lot you can do about it?!

iamdivergent · 07/12/2015 19:47

slice no she managed to get all the measurements for mine so just to wait and hear about the results of the downs syndrome test, she said if we don't hear within a week then we are 99% likely to be of low risk.

That's all the family informed, some very happy divergents tonight. Dds were both very happy with the news too which was lovely. I'm feeling a bit sickly tonight so I don't think I'll be up much longer.

amysmummy12345 · 07/12/2015 19:52

Thanks pample and emma they definitely can't discriminate against pregnancy related illness, there's a pregnancy sickness helpline number on the hyperemesis thread, you could try ringing them and asking for advice on it? They're a fountain of knowledge on all things pregnancy sickness related problems... Xx

iamdivergent · 07/12/2015 19:54

Just realised I'd not taken my evening dose of medication - could explain the sick feeling! Doh! That's it taken now so fingers crossed I feel better in the next half hour.

dollydaydream84 · 07/12/2015 19:58

gorgeous scan piccys! amazing how clear and detailed they are!

pamplem0usse - do work know the sickness is pregnancy related? I would ask which particular aspects she thought you weren't committed to and ask how she thinks you can improve. I suspect by being challenged in a polite way she will struggle to actually describe her very general comment in any detail. Silly woman (her not you!).

emma - was the pain quite sharp but subsided within a few seconds and happened when you moved? If so it is probably ligament pain, turning over in bed was the worst with DC1 from quite an early on, can feel it happening ocassionally now if I move too quickly....it only got worse over time last time, very irritating to wake yourself up by turning over in agony!

jellybelly85 · 07/12/2015 20:04

pamplem0usse I agree with what Mollie said - they cannot discriminate against you because you are pregnant. As such, pregnancy related sickness is considered separately to other sickness. However they can only do this if they know you are preg. Do they know you are preg?

Mollie hyperemesis can be vomiting and/or nausea. My GP has me down as hyperemesis despite having only vomited once. My nausea has been completely disabling - was housebound for a month. Its eased a bit now but still near-constant. I've been on some anti-emetics and they've helped to knock the edge off (so to speak)

Congrats to everyone - an excellent round of scans today!

pamplem0usse · 07/12/2015 20:09

Thanks everyone. Yes they know I'm pregnant and have done since before the sickness because the nature of my job is high risk. I haven't been "off sick" I've just been dragging myself in and vomiting so I'm not sure what protection the legislation gives me :s

laughingGnomette · 07/12/2015 20:36

amys - sorry to hear the test was painful. At least it's over now. Wishing you the best for your results.

rose - that's dreadful that they say one thing on their website and another in store!

pamplem0usse - you poor thing. It sounds to me like you've gone above and beyond and shown a hell of a lot of commitment to do your work despite being so sick. What an arse some managers are.

I'm really nervous about my scan tomorrow. I keep thinking there's going to be nothing there! The sickness has subsided since 12w1d, which although is nice has worried me a bit!

Potkettleblack2 · 07/12/2015 21:35

Amy thinking of you.
Rose I wouldn't even think to ask-I'd assume that all mayo in places like that was pasteurised! Bra-wise I'm wearing a sports bra all the time and find it really really comfy.

Those of you who said you have recently had pains, I'm the same. Yesterday and today I've had really sore pains/cramps around the right side of my bump. I got such a fright last night when they started. I've also had loads of discharge today and even wondered if it was worryingly watery-but I don't think so. I'm 14+3 today and have read that round ligament pain can be particularly bad at around 14-15 weeks so think that must be what it is.
