Ooooppppsss I told one off my friends today..... we've been doing our Xmas shopping together most Friday's and thought we'd have it done this week but we haven't, so on the way home she said same time next week, i said yes definitely, then remembered I've got my scan on Thursday so working Friday, proceeded to shout 'no, no, no I can't' waving my hands round like a looney, my friend gave me a slanted look and asked why, I ended up in fits - i mean fits of uncontrollable giggles telling her I had to work, but she finally got out the truth, I'm such a rubbish liar and not really planned to tell her like that lol!!! Just hope everything's ok on Thursday xxx

Beautiful scan pics Earlgrey and Biffle!! Good luck to those still waiting.

Biffle we are due date twins, I also got moved to 10th June x

carrie1008 · 04/12/2015 20:12

My scan date is taking FOREVER to come round...roll on the 15th!! Had a play around with my Doppler tonight and heard the magical heartbeat! Excitedly told DP when he came home that I heard the heartbeat and maybe we'll use it together over the weekend...he looked horrified and said "I think you're better off doing that by yourself" I got upset and asked why he wouldn't want to...turns out because all my early scans were internal he thought that was where the doppler went too...put him straight pretty sharpish 😂😵😂

LouLou030783 · 04/12/2015 21:48

Lol carrie that's hilarious poor dp X we are scan date buddies it isn't coming quickly enough for me X does the Doppler not panic u more if u can't find heartbeat right away x

Belleboo23 · 05/12/2015 07:37

That's so funny Carrie!! I'm the same scan is the 14th it does seem ages still. On a plus I have hit 12 weeks today :)

Lovelybeano · 05/12/2015 07:49

I feel like something's wrong today, all my symptoms have gone, even my sore boobs have disappeared Sad oh said I'm being silly I've probably got used to feeling naff but it feels like even my tums deflated 😢

BabySocks · 05/12/2015 08:28

lovelybeano I am sure there is nothing to worry about, symptoms come and go. Try to be positive, not long to the scan now x

mrslewis2015 · 05/12/2015 08:35

carrie and loulou I'm the same scan date! So nervous and excited! I really want to get a Doppler, may get one after Christmas! Xx

carrie1008 · 05/12/2015 08:54

Hi LouLou I've told myself that hearing anything before my 16wk midwifes appt is a bonus. I'm telling my brothers & step mum this weekend so I hoped to have that little bit of reassurance that all is ok, then the Doppler went back in the cupboard to stop me using it too much!

Lovely that there's still plenty of us to have our scans MrsLewis & Bella keep the excitement going before we all settle into the 2nd trimester!

Sure everything is ok lovelybeano my symptoms gave come and gone throughout

Belleboo23 · 05/12/2015 08:55

Mrslewis best £20 I've spent in a long time I love having a little listen in there!

Betty79 · 05/12/2015 09:35

Morning all, I actually slept in today and didn't wake up because I feel sick! I also woke up crying in the night tho that was weird, I remember crying in my dream over something random and when I woke up I was actually crying Confused

Beano I wouldn't worry just enjoy it, I've been feeling a bit better again the last few days since hitting 12 weeks.

MadrigalElectromotive · 05/12/2015 11:26

Hello everyone, all ok chez Madrigal. I am continuing to improve from the hyperemesis which is a massive relief. I have lost a lot of weight though, and wasn't really thinking about that when I ordered my maternity clothes so they are all much too big for me! I look ridiculous in them. Confused Think I will need to send them back and get different sizes, which is annoying becuase I could really do with a pair of maternity jeans right now!

Potkettleblack2 · 05/12/2015 14:50

At 14+1 I'm getting v excited about being pregnant and the idea of a new baby to hold! So excited in fact that I've just posted a thread on the baby names board (even though I never usually like that board)-I'm definitely getting carried away!

iamdivergent · 05/12/2015 15:42

potkettle I'm excited too but only 11+3 (scan on Monday!!!) We have a few name ideas, probably do what we did last time - once we had 1st scan we discussed, rattled down to one name per sex and then we know after the 2nd scan what baby will be called. We don't tell anyone though. Luckily both of mine have suited their names on birth but I can't imagine changing them after knowing what they would be called for 20wks lol.

Just snuggled up in sofa with dd1, dd2 is at a sleepover. Can't wait to tell them on Monday evening.

Betty79 · 05/12/2015 15:46

Iamdivergant ill be telling mine of Monday after the scan too Smile can't wait, it's been really hard keeping it from them.

iamdivergent · 05/12/2015 15:47

It's going to be great betty they have been really good especially with me feeling so crappy, I'm very lucky.

obsessed1 · 05/12/2015 16:35

As anyone heard of implantation bleeding at 12wks? I found a bit of blood today and have been cramping on and off for a few days. Spoke to midwife as concerned this is beginning of a miscarriage (had one in August) and she said it could me implantation bleed. I always thought that was just in very early days.
Anyway I have scan on weds but that seems so long to wait. I'm meant to be seeing her tomorrow for booking in apt, so I asked if she could look for heartbeat, but she said that's only possible after 16 weeks. Did I imagine it or have I read on here that others have already found a heartbeat themselves? I couldn't help but feel she was fobbing me off, or am I being unfair?

iamdivergent · 05/12/2015 16:41

I think others have found the heartbeats but midwives don't like to check before 16wks incase they cause distress as they are not always able to hear.

obsessed1 · 05/12/2015 16:46

Oh I see, that makes sense. This wait is just so hard. I'm trying not to overreact but it's not easy.

iamdivergent · 05/12/2015 16:52

You're right, it's not easy at all. I wrenched my belly earlier on standing up too quick, and I have niggle pains but nothing I can do , just try and get on with it. Such a stressful time.

Belleboo23 · 05/12/2015 17:01

Obsessed1 thats what my midwife said they don't like to cause worry, baby is so small at the minute it's hard to find. Im 12 weeks today and found the heartbeat last week you do have to angle the doppler downwards maybe she will have a go if you tell her it would help put you at ease until your scan x

obsessed1 · 05/12/2015 17:13

Thanks xx I get the impression that she's got too many cases on her plate and won't have the time but I could try. There's no harm in asking again. I will contact the epu if I see any more blood though.

Lovelybeano · 05/12/2015 17:18

obsessed I had an implantation bleed at 8 weeks and they said I could bleed again because there was still blood in the womb so not all implantation bleeds happen at the beginning, hope that helps a little xxxx

Betty79 · 05/12/2015 18:33

I have been listening to the heartbeat on my Doppler since 9 weeks, only once or twice a week. Sometimes I find it straight away other times it has taken me 5-10 mins, I imagine midwifes don't do it because it takes time and patience at this stage.

Hope all is ok obsessed. I've had some cramping today but think mine was wind Blush

nehagarg · 05/12/2015 19:53

obsessed1 what the midwife probably meant by implantation bleed is that it is old blood which has finally made its way out. I had that at 6 weeks. I am sure its nothing to worry about. I agree though that wednesday seems so far away. Definitely try and push for doppler I'd say. You never know, she might agree.
