btw is anyone else suffering with extreme exhaustion? I cannot work out if this is purely pg related or also thyroid related. I feel truly awful and need to go to bed by early afternoon through sheer physical tiredness. If I push on through I am completely wiped out physically and mentally by early evening and actually struggle with DS at tea time, bath time, story time and bed time. I am on my own most of the time so cannot really delegate.

My tiredness means I just heat soup for my tea as I Cannot face cooking anything else and if the nanny has cooked and there are left overs I cannot face heating it up!

sorry for the moan but feeling a little sorry for myself.

GuessHowMuchILoveGin · 29/11/2015 22:32

Thinking of you, Obsessed. What a difficult time for you.

Mindful Bear, I am totally bloody knackered. But worth getting your thyroid levels checked.

Good luck to tomorrow's scanees.

emma85x · 29/11/2015 22:46

Betty79 · 30/11/2015 08:07

Morning all, obsessed hope all is ok. Good luck for anyone else having scans today. One more week to go till mine.

Have the day off from work today so going to finish my Xmas shopping and wrapping hopefully if I don't feel too rough. Still feeling nauseous, so hope it ends soon.

lemonslemonslemons · 30/11/2015 08:41

Hi everyone! So sorry it's been so long since I have been on here! I was away for a week with DH & DD.

Well, today is scan day! It's at 10am and I feel quite nervous. My letter says I have to drink 2 pints of water an hour before the scan! Did anyone NOT do this and it was ok? I don't think my hyperemesis will allow that much water!

Morning all, sorry to hear about your FIL obsessed 😞 hope the scan goes well, I've got my 12 week scan today, so anxious 😩

Lemons I had a scan about three weeks ago and managed a litre and scan was clear enough, no complaints from the scan lady... I have hg too 😌 xx

iamdivergent · 30/11/2015 08:50

Fingers crossed for you obsessed

Hope scans go well today, 1 week until mine! Just waiting til 9 so I can phone and request my meds again, I have a feeling dr is going to want to see me though; I've been on them just over 3wks now and feel they are making a big difference but can only be on them for finate amount of time so he may want to discuss options.

Mrspopper · 30/11/2015 08:51

Good luck obsessed. What time is your scan?

nehagarg · 30/11/2015 08:56

Good luck with scans today everyone.

lemons. I only managed about 350 ml but sonographer didnt complain at all.

JoMalones · 30/11/2015 09:00

Good luck to all those having scans today Thanks

GrubbyWindows · 30/11/2015 09:02

Thinking of you obsessed! And all the other scanees today.

mindful if you are largely on your own, and working, I am not surprised you are totally wiped, poor you! I know iron helps some people a lot, do def worth seeing someone if you can. Can you have a sick day and hide in bed to catch up whilst the nanny takes DS out for the day? I definitely need naps. My DS dropped his last week, and by Saturday I just retired to bed for the day, I had nothing left!

My foolishstylish dungarees came... And were already too small!! Argh!

Belleboo23 · 30/11/2015 09:14

Hope all the scans go well today please post some pictures!!
Two weeks today until mine still feels forever away I'm 11+2 today feeling less tired but still feeling a little bit of nausea and my boobs are still huge and sore lol!!
My doppler has finally been dispatched today so can't wait for that xx

obsessedlex · 30/11/2015 09:55

Thank you everyone and good luck to all other scans today. Mine is at 3.30. I feel better this morning, cramps have subsided and no more blood, am feeling a bit more positive, just hope I'm not tempting fate xx

obsessedlex · 30/11/2015 09:58

On another note - does anyone else have a cat that won't leave them alone since they've been pg? Mine is my shadow at the moment and has to be on my tum the minute I sit still!

obsessedlex · 30/11/2015 09:58

His usual position!

June 2016 #4 - 12 week scans, seeing tiny feet and hands!
Rose2806 · 30/11/2015 10:06

Hi all, sorry I haven't been around for a few days, we went away for the weekend (non alcoholic "kinder punch" as an alternative to mulled wine just doesn't make the cut unfortunately!) and I'm finally starting to feel better, only nauseous late evening if I'm very tired, 11 weeks tomorrow and scan on Friday :-)

no convincing bump yet, I have a little bit of a tummy but think it's still quite soft rather than firm, scared to poke it too hard! So don't feel particularly pregnant but hoping all will be ok on Friday, have started dreaming about it now!

Obsessed glad you're feeling a bit better this morning, thinking of you for the scan later xxx

Rose2806 · 30/11/2015 10:10

Obsessed yes my cat is the same! I was saying to dh the other day "do you think he knows I'm pregnant?" It could just be that he likes the fact that I'm sitting down more often than I used to due to being tired. I worry about him kneading my tummy too much though so have been guarding that bit!

obsessedlex · 30/11/2015 10:17

rose I think I remember him being the same last time - cats are funny aren't they, they have A kind of sixth sense - I think they must know. Wink

Betty79 · 30/11/2015 10:18

Obsessed yes my cat is exactly the same! Won't leave me alone and is determined to sit on my belly every time, won't entertain sitting on my lap even if I move her many times.

Rose2806 · 30/11/2015 10:47

Ugh spoke too soon, massive wave of nausea just hit and sent me running retching to the bathroom :-( I thought this had ended!

Agree I'm sure the cats know something ;-)

dollydaydream84 · 30/11/2015 10:48

17caterpillars I started getting a rounded stomach (from under my bust) from about 20 weeks. I'm about an 18/20. Had a really good bump from 28 weeks onwards. I hate the "looking fatter than usual" stage until the real bump comes in :)

Grubby excellent news on your good scan :)

MindfulBear I am really exhausted too - on the days I don't feel sick I am much more tired. I didn't feel like this with DC1 until about 6 months which is when I found out I was anaemic. I have been having a sleep most afternoons if I can and getting some early nights.May be worth getting your iron checked?

About avoiding lying/sleeping on your back, I think that started about 16 weeks for me last time. It is something to do with the excess weight putting pressure on main organs or arteries or something. My breathing certainly felt laboured when I lay on my back for more than a few minutes, particularly as time went on.

I am nauseous/tired on and off, not as bad as with DC1 so I am hoping that continues. Still eating everything in sight to combat the nausea though! I am now 10+2 and scan is less than 2 weeks away :) I am worrying though because it has been 2 weeks since my early scan and I'm just hoping everything is OK. For those saying the first trimester is hard to enjoy, I agree, the secrecy coupled with tiredness, nausea and extreme worry is really hard going.

Hope all are well :)

TattedPixie · 30/11/2015 11:06

My oldest cat must know I'm pregnant. She is constantly by my side when I'm in bed or sitting on the sofa, guarding my belly. She tries to paddy paw my stomach but I tell her off and move her.
It's so lovely that she knows and looks after me when my OH isn't around

lemonslemonslemons · 30/11/2015 11:24

All is well with little lemon! I know that I am 12+1 but they dated it as 12+5 so now due on the 8th June! Got amazing pictures which I will post later. Thank you for all your support :)
