That's lovely obsessed.....I'm sure someone on here found one at 9 weeks so you probably did find it. Can't wait for mine to arrive hurry up amazon!!

obsessedlex · 26/11/2015 17:54

£3.99 on the App Store

JoMalones · 26/11/2015 18:18

Oh that sounds amazing Obsessed! I remember using a normal Doppler with my two and often panicked when I couldn't find the heartbeat!

Belvedere · 26/11/2015 18:26

I'd be careful with Doppler apps obsessed. Midwifes are really against them as they are often not real and put too much panic in people. Sorry to sound pessimistic

MollieRos · 26/11/2015 18:28

I had my scan today... saw a wriggly little baby Smile The sonographer was lovely, the baby was lying in the wrong position at first, so she had to send me off for a 10 min walk, still wrong position when I came back so after some bouncing up and down and emptying my bladder it finally moved into the right position- 3rd time lucky! They moved me forward a few days to 13+2 due 31st May. So that's more what I expected from my dates (my early scan put me behind where I thought I was).

laughingGnomette · 26/11/2015 18:31

Ooh! Lovely news Mollie! Xx

Another one whose symptoms have worsened since 12 weeks. I thought i was back to normal, now have nausea and vomiting worse than ever! After a long day with stroppy toddler, I'm now in bed on strike

Congratulations lepudding and dirtycat, so lovely to see more great scan pictures Smile

Torfhinn · 26/11/2015 18:33

Congratulations to you too mollie Smile

TattedPixie · 26/11/2015 20:15

Absolutely gorgeous scan pictures ladies. Luckily I feel better after actually being sick earlier today. I even managed to eat a full plate of food, which shocked me.
Seeing family tomorrow so hopefully I'm not a sicky mess.

mrsmugoo · 26/11/2015 20:16

I think it's quite easy to pick up the blood wooshing into the placenta on those dopplers.

MindfulBear · 26/11/2015 20:31

hello! I have found you - was watching the other thread. Seemed a bit quiet but there were some new messages last week so didnt twig for a while that it was full Grin

our panorama blood test came back super quick, the receptionist called me and its all clear. Was a bit shocked. Other than extreme tiredness i wouldnt know I was pg, which is the total opposite of the last time with DS. I fully expected them to tell me that something was up and I had to go into see them..... eek. this is real!!

am in a bit of bother because I am about to move country, continent, hemisphere, job and employer to return to the UK. I signed my new contract before I tested & saw a BFP. Its a great professional City job and I am due to start mid Jan....... my quandry is when do I tell them? Do I tell them before I start? or wait a couple of weeks to settle in first? They have already waited 2 years whilst I went off and did this overseas stint with my current employer ......... I am going to join and then be off again before I know it. Last time I only went back to work when DS was 10 months and I would like to do the same this time, so long as DH's money can cover us (I of course will not be entitled to mat pay or the mat allowance - bugger - wish we had waited 5 more weeks - but then we have been trying for 2 years so we didnt really have a choice!!)

what would you do? wait a few weeks after joining or tell your new boss before you start?

Betty79 · 26/11/2015 22:19

Lovely to see lots of scan pics!Smile my nausea has def returned this week, not been feeling great. Am 11 weeks tomorrow and I'm sure I have felt flutters tonight, has anyone else felt it this early? I remember feeling flutters with my others pretty early too around 13 weeks but 11 weeks??

bikingintherain · 26/11/2015 22:51

What lovely scan pictures! I'm a little jealous, I don't get a 12 week only 9. It's like being a child whose already had their birthday party and being jealous or their sibling. But also really delighted for them !

I had a conversation with a friend of mine from work today about how she lived stroking pregnant women's stomach. in an amusing but whole serious way I told her I would be likely to bitch slap her if she did it to me! I'm hoping she gets the word out!

Mindful, I know it's hard not to worry about the work situation. My experience with employees is that when you are good at your job they are ok about pregnancy and children. I've always tried to be honest and I think they appreciate it, but in your situation I don't think there is a clear cut answer. Perhaps trying to have a conversation in person? Others could well have different experiences that are more helpful!

nehagarg · 27/11/2015 08:25

Gorgeous scan pictures everyone. Congratulations. So happy to hear all the positive news. Smile

obsessed - I found the heartbeat at 9 weeks with a doppler. If you hear a fast galloping one - its definitely the baby.

Betty - I have been feeling slight bubbles and like something is rolling around in there. Not too often but it did start around 11 weeks. I've read you feel it earlier if its your second or third. Mine's first so I was a bit surprised.

biking - Completely agreeee! I know a couple of people who already want to try and feel my stomach even though there isnt much to feel. I am going to start wearing a hands off t shirt soon. Grin

My symptoms havent returned though I am still insanely tired but now I feel dizzy if I am anything other than standing bolt upright or lying on my left hand side. Good bye sleep!

nehagarg · 27/11/2015 08:58

Oh and did I mention the dreams? Long, incessant, unrelenting dreams!

Betty79 · 27/11/2015 09:33

Nehagard I would say it's felt like rolling so maybe I'm not imagining it. This my 3rd so I suppose it's possibleSmile

Had a dream I gave birth to another little girl last night weighing 8lb9oz in 1 1/2 hours lol might be because someone I know posted pics on fb of her new daughter who was quite a chunk. I'm think mine will be a 8lb plus baby tho as both dd's were! Would be quite happy to have a quick labour too Grin wishful thinking!

Betty79 · 27/11/2015 09:34

Obsessed I also found heartbeat at 9 weeks although it was very quiet and my Doppler didn't pick up the beats per min, it's only since this week it's started picking up the heart rate properly

BiffleRoo · 27/11/2015 10:28

Think someone is feeling a little guilty after last week. Before left for work he told me to snap up any deals I see today "my wallet is on the windowsill!"

GrubbyWindows · 27/11/2015 10:42

biffle that's hilarious!
And I'm totally with the dreams too!!

On my way to my 12 week scan, eek.

I hope it's ok! And that there is just the one in there...

obsessedlex · 27/11/2015 11:20

Arrghh! Just got this email

"Need to know if you'd be up for paint balling for Her hen do?? It'll be a right laugh!"

It's on 13th March !!

It's my boyfriends brothers fiancé and we haven't told them yet!!

Betty79 · 27/11/2015 13:54

Obsessed can you just make up an excuse or put off giving a answer till you can tell them?

obsessedlex · 27/11/2015 13:57

I think I'll try and avoid answering until I've had my scan - I hate all this lying/avoiding the truth!!

MagicDucky · 27/11/2015 15:11

Lovely scans girls! Just trying to catch up on the thread!

Got my scan date through, the 15th of December! Feels like ages away! I'll be 13+3!!

17caterpillars1mouse · 27/11/2015 15:32

Does anybody know when larger ladies are likely to start getting a bump with their first baby.

I'm a size 16 and just curious

MollieRos · 27/11/2015 17:49

One of my colleagues (who does need to work on her boundaries) felt my belly the other day. I have bloat but no actual belly, and I was so astonished I just let her do it. Why do people want to feel other people's bellies, and why would you do that without being invited to?!!

Mindful I think I'd be inclined to tell them, only because I'd prefer to be honest- I'd feel then telling them after a few weeks. Presumably as you've already signed the contract there's no way they could retract the offer? It's not like you planned it that way- life happens!
