Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 41st grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 40th grads thread is HERE

The thread we have graduated from is HERE in its 55th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread HERE
for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

HERE is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

Flowers to all the poorly viroids.

I have had a bit of a shit week since Friday. I just want to be alone and cry all the time. I blame the hormones.

5hell well done you. I am 23 weeks and have gained 1.5 stone. Oops Blush

MollyBloomYes · 25/11/2015 11:15

Pud I think it sounds entirely sensible. I thought I'd get loads done around the house with a teeny baby who didn't move but DS had other ideas!

Sky sorry you're having a rubbish time Thanks anything in particular or just hormones and generally feeling shit? Chocolate as well for you

I resisted maternity clothes for ages. Still wearing pre preggo jeans under bump and just sort of hoiking them up intermittently. Not a great look. Do have a couple of mat jeans but find the elastic quite uncomfortable, prefer just tucking everything underneath!

Mermaid36 · 25/11/2015 11:27

So, I'm 5wks today, and am celebrating with waves of dizziness and nausea - huzzah!

pretzelpieces · 25/11/2015 11:28

honey gx for a low result on the gtt! But of course I'm here with advice if you need it.

pud just seen what time you posted. Zzzzzzz how do you have the energy for painting furniture?!

Yay for movements 5hell!

Aw sky sorry you're having a rubbish time of it. Anything in particular?

I've gained about 17lbs at 30 weeks, which I think is fine. I weigh 10.5 stone (147lbs) now but I think my weight might have levelled out a bit since starting the diabetes diet. Hope I can continue to gain. So far I'm following my chart (see attached) so I figure it's okay. jelly isn't that only about 15lbs? That seems fine?

pretzelpieces · 25/11/2015 11:30

Hah, I cross posted with molly and said almost the same thing, sorry sky!

mermaid Flowers and [ritz crackers].

FeatheredTail · 25/11/2015 12:44

Awite viroids,

Feeling LOADS better than I did (TWO DAYS OFF WORK! ARGH!) though still a bit feeble really. Have to travel and spend the night in a hotel for work tonight. Kind of looking forward to a massive comfy bed and room service, though not the actual working part (lots of talking: hard with asthma and croaking voice).

So many hugs to dole out! Pretz, Molly Sky...hope you're all doing OK. Flowers

Pretzel it really is awful the way you are being sent around here, there and everywhere at the hospital. I feel like that whenever I have to see a medical person and I've got a straightforward pregnancy (so far). I haven't even met my midwife yet - ! Hope things will get better for you. Wouldn't it be AMAZING if maternity care was just how it is on Call the Midwife?!!! (Apart from the actual birth part - no drugs. Agh).

I am slightly concerned that I don't seem to be gaining any weight. Usually this would be cause for a celebration, but feels strange that I'm not packing it on. I always lose a bit of weight when I eat crap/don't exercise (which is the case at the moment) but it does feel a bit off that I haven't really chunked out. And just so you know this isn't a stealth brag, I might not be bursting out of my clothes, but I am extremely flabby due to said lack of exercise. Grin

Welcome keep, mermaid and corgi! Please add yourselves to the stats sheet, and whoever hasn't done it yet.

Good to hear you're feeling better feathered.

[tissues] for country. I've got problem with my nose too, except it's not running, but all dry and crusty inside. Eugh.

Sorry you're feeling down sky Cake I've put on 1.5st too. Last time it was just over 2st, can't see that happening again Confused

Very impressed with your 1lb gain honey! Sorry if the reason was you feeling shit though.

jelly 7kg doesn't sound that much, well done!

Cakeand Chocolate lil, your energy levels should be coming up a bit soon.

pretz glad metformin is helping.

[salty crackers] for all the pukey viroids.

I'm pretty sure I came in my sleep tonight.. Shock Never happened to me before, pg or not!

DS woke up at 5am this morning, so I'm shattered...

KateBeckett · 25/11/2015 13:33

honey I have the constant feeling of nausea. It's fucking horrible! I haven't actually been sick for a while now, but have lots of dry heaving moments, and just constantly feel pukey. Not looking forward to going back to work next week Sad Envy

My ta sent me a message last night - apparently a few people at work have asked her if I'm pregnant! Gah. I'm hoping no one will be rude a bough to ask me when I go back, but I can see a few people saying something... Not sure what I'll say to them if they do!!

pretz glad the meds are helping, and I hope you're still side effect free x

Ouch carrot that doesn't sound fun!! I have lots of respect for all of you guys who already have dc, I can't imagine how you do it!!!

Yes to newbies putting themselves in the stats please!! It's a tad lonely down at the bottom Grin

Mermaid36 · 25/11/2015 13:51

I can't access the stats from work (security thing) so will update tonight once I'm at home....

oneyorkshirepud · 25/11/2015 14:25

Sympathy to all the sick Viroids. Envy

Feathered, don't worry too much about putting on weight. I put on about 30% of my pregnancy weight on in a two week window - it was impressive! Definitely hasn't gone up in a nice straight line. Baby will take what it needs. Glad you are feeling better though!

Mermaid36 · 25/11/2015 14:47

scratch my post above, stats updated Smile

honeysucklejasmine · 25/11/2015 14:53

Ooooh shit, I'm in the top ten on the stats sheet! Fuuuuuck!

oneyorkshirepud · 25/11/2015 15:24

Hee hee Honey! Grin

fruitlovingmonkey · 25/11/2015 15:42

Eek Honey getting close!
Feathered can't help other than to say weight gain seems to be pretty random. I put on 4kgs really quickly but now I haven't gained anything for the last few weeks. Hopefully everyone just has their own pattern and it isn't something to worry about.
Must've been a good dream Carrot Wink. I have a crusty nose too, it's gross.
Flowers for you Sky, is it anything in particular getting you down or just the bastard hormones?
I am ridiculously cold this afternoon. This better not be the start of an illness, I'm terrible at being ill.

CarrotPuff · 25/11/2015 17:17

Not sure fruit. I was doing something dirty with my sister! I've no idea where it came from, I don't fancy her in that way at all! Confused

honey shush, I'm just 9 days behind you...

I too find weight gain very uneven - I've put half a stone in two weeks and next week nothing. I hope "nothing" lasts a bit longer. I remember with DS month 6 was highest weight gain too.

Starting to get some painful kicks/movement. The other day even DP jumped up from a kick. And the last two days I've been feeling as if baby was trying to perform internal C section and claw its way out! I never fully appreciated the perks of anterior placenta last time...

pretzelpieces · 25/11/2015 17:40

Think I spoke too soon on the metformin, got a high result. Might need to up my dose.

feathered I wouldn't worry too much, people gain at different stages.

We're going to nct and I am a grumpy moo. Keep trying to tell myself it's okay if we don't make friends, it'll happen some point some way. Sigh.

CountryGal4 · 25/11/2015 18:55

It's not too bad just carry a bog roll in my bag.

If it makes you feel better pud I'm only 24 weeks and abso caked in stretch marks - big fat red ones. so if you only just getting any then you've done pretty well !!

Mermaid36 · 25/11/2015 21:14

Newbies (like me!) - how are you feeling? Who have you told yet (if anyone)?

KeepTheHope · 25/11/2015 21:55

Mermaid I'm feeling very bloated mainly! Some interesting stretchy, odd pains going on, a touch of lower back ache and very sore breasts thrown in for good measure. I think a bit of nausea and tiredness might be creeping in too but not bad yet.

Only told two of our best friends (they were my bridesmaids) because we saw them at the weekend and it was SO obvious I wasn't drinking. They were more excited than me I think! Telling my Mom and Nan next Tuesday when they come to visit and dh's parents the following weekend when we see them.

How are you doing so far? It still feels a bit surreal at times!

Mermaid36 · 25/11/2015 22:02

It's so surreal! I started with nausea and dizziness today...all bloody day! Also getting weird pains, a bit like AF....
I don't really feel pregnant yet...

Told my bestie, who blubbed like a baby; my boss who revealed she is pg and due in May; my lovely gay zumba instructor who was terribly excited.
Not told family yet, probably going to do it at Xmas (9 or 10 weeks). Ordered a little glass plaque for my sister and mum each saying "grandma" and "Auntie" as surprise xmas pressies! (No other kids in family)

I don't drink, so luckily don't have any excuses etc to make over Xmas Smile

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 25/11/2015 22:16

I can't get into it too much without outing myself but lets just say I had a work drama and am now shot of a very unreasonable client. I was feeling a bit stressed about it, less money etc however DP seems really happy to tow the line while I take what might actually resemble a maternity leave next year... It is all quite positive and now that I have wrapped my head around it I am actually fine and applying my energy to creative work I have put on the backburner due to stress... Poor old DP, he said "I will take care of you, you can be a kept woman for awhile can't you?" To which I burst into tears and shouted "I don't want to be kept!" And took myself off to cry for a day Blush

goodnessgraciousgoudaoriginal · 25/11/2015 22:34

Hello all!!

Sorry to everyone feeling ropey - I don't know about the UK, but the weather seems to have got much colder all of a sudden over here. I think the germy season is most definitely upon us!

I bought my first pair of maternity jeans today! Thankfully h&m had put a sign up saying for the 3 trimester you should buy jeans in 1-2 sizes bigger than your pre pregnancy size. They should advertise that fact in great big neon letters. Looking forward to having marginally warmer legs....

country - Glad you mentioned stretch marks, how is everyone doing with them? I don't think I have any at the moment, but I don't know if they aren't there, or if they are just smaller lighter coloured ones that will show up more once the bump has deflated (if that makes sense). Only 34 weeks so there's still time....(doooooooooom!)

feathered - I agree with others - don't worry about not gaining weight just yet. As long as you aren't literally starving yourself then you'll start gaining when you need to. Enjoy it while you can! Grin

I'm amazed to have put on 13kg (that's 2 stone in old money) by 34 weeks. I thought I wasn't going crazy and being sensible, but apparently not sensible enough. Feeling a bit down about that - especially as I look so puffy and chubby in pictures at the moment. Plan to be much stricter from now on otherwise I'll end up like the bloody Michelin man.

pretzelpieces · 25/11/2015 23:28

Those plaques are a lovely idea mermaid Smile

Aw sky... I can see how that wording might not have been the best even if his intentions were good!

gouda yay for warm legs! Some people say they don't gain any weight at all at the end though don't they? So you'll probably find it's just right.

Illiria · 26/11/2015 02:24

Mermaid - seem to have increased symptoms since Monday. We aren't telling anyone till after 8 week scan. Then only parents until after my 1 year probationary period is up in January.
