Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 41st grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 40th grads thread is HERE

The thread we have graduated from is HERE in its 55th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread HERE
for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

HERE is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

Oh pretzel Sad the right level of care makes all the difference and sounds like you definitely haven't been receiving it. Hopefully your mh midwives will step up now. Thanks

Anti nausea meds making me feel distinctly spacey and odd. Not sure if I like them which is saying something as I am normally very good with opiates (I know these aren't but I can cope with space cadet feelings iyswim) did manage to get some dinner down me though so hopefully now here's something proper in stomach I can continue building on that. Here's hoping anyway!

oneyorkshirepud · 24/11/2015 22:15

Flowers for Kate and Pretzel, hope the metaformin works for you Pretzel.

Kickboxing Mermaid?! Good effort! I presume sparing is off the menu for a bit. Exercise while you feel able but don't worry if you have to slow down a bit. I have hardly done anything since getting upduffed due to have no energy at all but I am really looking forward to getting fit again.

Honey that is awesome about 1lb, well done! Do you know how much you are recommended to gain?

oneyorkshirepud · 24/11/2015 22:16

Ooh sorry 'for a bit' is supposed to have a question mark after it! It was a question not a judgement!! Smile

YogaPants · 24/11/2015 22:54

Pretzel sorry you feel like you were shunted about the hospital. Sad I hope the metformin works for you without any nasty side effects.

Jelly re swampiness, I sometimes feel myself panicking that it feels like I am bleeding and I want to check and reassure myself immediately that all is ok. (It has been). It is just so much wetter than normal!

Feathered, are you feeling better after a day off at home?

pud I can see why you don't want to check out the spreadsheet. Christmas is getting close. What are the symptoms of restless leg syndrome? It's not something I know much about.

pretzelpieces · 24/11/2015 23:28

Thanks jelly. The chicco looks so cute and convenient, I'm a bit jealous! We've just been given a moses basket by my cousin who fostered babies until recently. I need to get a new mattress for it.

country that sounds seriously shitty. I hope you have a good supply of vaseline and balsam tissues - your poor nose!

Thanks kate. steals all your tissues

honey Aw that sounds fun. Sorry you're not feeling well though. Flowers Well done on maintaining a steady weight. Impressive especially considering your sickness! Sickness just made me mainline carbs. Thank god I haven't had the gd and ms at the same time.

molly yay for keeping dinner down. Let's hope the spacey feelings get less as you take them. And re mh midwives, yes I hope so. She said I can call them any time.

Thanks pud and yoga, I took my first metformin tonight, and got a lovely low result for my blood after dinner. So far no side effects! Let's hope I don't get any after being such a drama queen about taking it Hmm

honeysucklejasmine · 25/11/2015 00:04

Pud apparently between 11lbs and 1st 6lbs. So not bad going so far. Now I can cook without throwing up I am cooking healthy meals and eating my 5 a day. At last!

Pretzel I have my GTT next week. Will be needing you for advice if I "fail" it, as it were. You're coping so well so far! Flowers

DH still can't feel movements even when I think they are massive. Oh well, still time!

Illiria · 25/11/2015 04:10

Thanks everyone, apparently I spoke too soon and have felt like bleh today.

Honey - glad you are feeling better.

Pretzel - glad the metformin wasn't as bad as you had feared and that it worked.

oneyorkshirepud · 25/11/2015 04:39

Yey for healthy meals Honey! I decided that I 'needed' to sand and re oil all the kitchen worktops and both tables and paint all the dining room chairs so the kitchen is completely out of action - no 5 a day for me yesterday. Think I have some super aggressive form of nesting!

Chocolate for you Country and well done on the metaformin Pretzel.

Think I am officially nocturnal. Also stressing about movements, which is stupid as I can feel the baby moving! Middle of the night irrationality I think!

5hell · 25/11/2015 06:09

crikey honey how have you managed that?! I've put on about a stone and i'm only 22w!

3 cheers for a low result pretz Grin gx the met works for you without and side effects

had to go buy more bras last night...up to 32DD now! Blush Grin if only mat bras were a bit more flattering, I'd be feeling HOT

think I'm finally starting to feel baby move a bit, hopefully it'll become more regular and convincing soon.

Mermaid36 · 25/11/2015 07:33

pud I used to train 5 days a week, but it's lapsed recently (not because of pg)

Yeah, I won't be sparring anymore, just general training and padwork. I want to carry on for as long as possible though (safely).

honeysucklejasmine · 25/11/2015 08:21

5hell I am going to go with continual morning sickness and accompanying tiny appetite! Would not recommend.

MollyBloomYes · 25/11/2015 08:27

How is it possible for this child to be jabbing me right under the ribs and deep in the bowel at the same time? Making me feel most peculiar.

oneyorkshirepud · 25/11/2015 08:33

Ah yes, the old simultaneous kick to the inside of the rib cage and punch in the cervix - lovely stuff! Grin

jellypi3 · 25/11/2015 08:35

honey that's amazing, I'm terrified of what my end weight gain will be, so far I've put on about 7kg!! Blush oops!

Baby is having a slow day today on the movement front so going to keep an eye on it. I'm also in a bad mood with DP, he was snoring last night and I asked him to roll over (he sleeps on his back with 1 flat pillow) and he got really stroppy with me. So I got no sleep and am back at work tomorrow. Grrr.

molly I get whacks high and low simultaneously too, I'm sure this child is going to come out about 3 foot long.

Jcandy · 25/11/2015 08:54

Mines more stretching now, feet one side of my abdomen and back the other. It looks and feels like baby is trying to rip it's way out of me! Definitely not a lot of space left in there!

Hope the met is kind to you pretz but good news that it's already giving you a good result.

pud that's some serious nesting! I really haven't done much at all other than getting the nursery ready which it has been for a couple of weeks now

lildottie · 25/11/2015 09:01

Morning all. Still shattered here but have decided to go with anti biotics so waiting for Dr to sort.

honey wow. I look fat and have only gained 4 or 5 pounds so far.

And talking of exercise I'm looking forward to getting back into swimming.

TriJo · 25/11/2015 10:13

Swimming is wonderful - apart from the post swim hunger, which appears to have waited until morning here! Might as well walk around with a Put Food In Me sign...

KeepTheHope · 25/11/2015 10:15

Pretzel I hope the metformin works for you.

5hell good on you! That's terrified me though, I'm a 34DD normally, going to be bloody massive!!

Honey wow 1lb so far is very impressive! Just weighed myself and in the last couple of days I've lost half a pound but I can't physically do my work trousers up! I only bought them two weeks ago but there's not a chance.

oneyorkshirepud · 25/11/2015 10:29

Keep can you use a hair bobble looped through the bottom hole and over the bottom to keep the trousers up and then wear a long top? That kept me going for a few weeks until I just had to go around with my trousers entirely undone at which point I decided that I should probably invest in some maternity clothes before I got fired! Not sure why I waited so long, maternity clothes are so comfy!

Swimming is awesome upduffed exercise but front crawl is best once you get a bit further on, breast stroke legs are not great for pelvic stability. The hips don't lie. But they do chuffing well hurt

I know JC, a bit ridiculous really and I am tiring myself out but I feel like if I don't get this DIY done it will never get done. I've pretty much redecorated the whole house in 6 months, because obviously people with children can't redecorate?! DH has relandscaped the whole garden too. Epic job. Will be done by the end of this week though then I can do a bit more relaxing. Good news is I'm having fewer BHs so I'm not quite so worried about imminent labour. My bump is super itchy today though, I am concerned that this means stretch marks are coming - noooooo!

YogaPants · 25/11/2015 10:31

I have officially entered the spontaneous vomit phase.

Things that have made me vomit in the last week:

  1. Seeing a bruise on a banana
  2. Lamb tastying too lamby
  3. Documents contradicting each other at work (leading to my first at work rush to the toilet for a good clearing out of my stomach)
5hell · 25/11/2015 10:33

keep that'll just be bloat - may well go down again and then you might get back in things for a bit...if not I recommend a hairband + bellyband/long top system to keep your existing clothes working for a bit longer :) I am waaaaaaaaay past that stage now!

KeepTheHope · 25/11/2015 10:38

Thanks all, I did the hair bobble trick yesterday but it was a bit big and I was paranoid about my top riding up (not great when you work with kids!). I think I'm going to invest in either a couple of long tightish tops or belly bands to hold it all in place for a bit and hope it goes down and I can get away with normal clothes at least until January! My dm was HUGE with me so I'm not sure I've got much hope!

honeysucklejasmine · 25/11/2015 10:48

Lol Yoga, sounds like me! I have never really felt nausea, but spontaneous vomit happens constantly. I think prob feeling nauseous all the time would be worse.

Mermaid36 · 25/11/2015 10:59

I bought some new trews for work from M&S the other day (whilst pg but not realising it)...they are their 'wide leg' ones and they are elasticated waist and also have lots of room around the tummy area....I reckon I c9ould expand quite a bit before needing actual maternity trews....could be worth a look?

KeepTheHope · 25/11/2015 10:59

They sound good mermaid, thank you I'll definitely have a look at those.
