Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 41st grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 40th grads thread is HERE

The thread we have graduated from is HERE in its 55th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread HERE
for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

HERE is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

Gah, awake. I've managed to avoid restless legs until now, which is awesome as I tend to get them in non preggo life after big hill days, but as I haven't been up any mountains since week 4 this has not been a problem, until now! I didn't climb any mountains yesterday (obviously) so it's just a pregnancy thing. I love though how I am convinced that I will be totally fine in labour until something randomly hurts and then I'm all OW and sulky ha ha. Currently on the sofa with a hot water bottle and two cats!

Good luck with your GD appointment today Pretzel, hope you get some good advice. Can you eat more protein to fill you up?

Peenut · 23/11/2015 06:50

Hya mermaid and cori, nice to see you over here and congrats on your BFPs! Whoop!

I still get those crampy pains now, I think I read somewhere that by 7 weeks your uterus has doubled in size, this seems a bit mad so maybe I read a blog for women 20 weeks pregnant or something! But would explain the cramps! (I downloaded a pregnancy app and accidentally added my due date as July this year, not next year and started getting confusing emails about my 4 month old!)

Other things to look forward to include baby brain! I'm basically living in the twilight zone of semi deleriousness at 7 weeks today! (Almost bumped into a women in topshop, apologised only to realise I'd almost walked into a huge mirror and the woman was me!

Blush

Ended up going for a scan on Saturday, I've basically been having mini bleeds throughout and the other day it seemed like quite a lot which made me freak a bit. I called midwife who only works part time so then called EPU and they said come in for a scan if I was worried. I didn't know whether to go or not but glad I went. Saw a very small jelly bean with a tiny flickering heartbeat! Eeep. I know stuff can still go wrong but was so nice and weird to see!

They found no cause for the bleeding so said maybe it's my hormones messing around giving me mini AF visits.

Glad your scan went well yoga, must be so nice to tell people!

pud poor you awake at 4:30! I managed too 5:30 today, whoop!

Pretzel must be a mare trying to manage your foods and avoid stuff your body probably thinks it wants - I need all the carbs. Especially now, there is no 'oh I feel a bit hungry' just full on 'FOOD! If I don't eat I'll barf!'

Peenut · 23/11/2015 06:52

Sorry, meant Corgi not Cori!

pretzelpieces · 23/11/2015 08:01

Aw yoga congrats on a good scan and it's so nice to be able to tell people isn't it! Hooray!

pud Flowers Sorry for your early start and misbehaving legs. Glad you hadn't had it till now though - not long to have to put up with it hopefully! I've upped my protein and veggies and have snacks like fruit with nuts or yoghurt to bulk it out. I want to ask them about increased protein because I'm definitely eating more than the RDA and excess protein is bad for kidneys (my kidneys are already a bit shit - I don't want to solve a problem by causing another one!).

pee That's fantastic news about the heartbeat! Very positive. Can't they give you hormones to manage your levels? Also lol, I've done that apologising to a mirror thing so many times. Re food: yeah my body is craving more calories, which for me means an uncharacteristic sweet tooth that is really unhelpful right now. I also had to scoff carbs until ms abated, but I didn't have gd then so I was allowed.

So knackered this morning. Bonkers preggo dream last night involving an infestation of giant spiders that threw fire balls at me and shot lasers. Restful! Hmm

Peenut · 23/11/2015 09:22

Argh! Spider dream sounds horrific Pretzel! I hate still feeling uneasy hours after I've woken up after a dream! (Happening all the time at the mo!)

I didn't know they could prescribe hormones for break through bleeding, it does appear to have stopped for the moment but will see how it goes.

White bread is becoming a dear friend of mine, it just works so well in stopping sicky feeling.

FeatheredTail · 23/11/2015 10:06

I'm so sad. Going to have to take my first sick day of the year. I was so close to making it through the whole year! Even with MC I had two discretion days and the rest was annual leave.

I am going to do my emails from home before admitting I'm actually a bit poorly and taking it easy.

I had pneumonia 6 years ago as ever since, get horrid chest infections which triggers my asthma really badly when it's cold. I have a mild chest infection and it's set me off.

#hatebeingfeeble #workguilt

FeatheredTail · 23/11/2015 10:09

Oh, Pee - me and white bread are like this. Best buddies. Fear not though - I'm now 15+1 and enjoyed a couple of salads last week. First greenery in 3 months!

pretzelpieces · 23/11/2015 10:11

pee Oh I don't know if they can, I was just wondering. Sorry!

They're trying me on metformin Sad and I'm worried about the side effects.

pretzelpieces · 23/11/2015 10:14

Sorry feathered missed your post. Very sensible taking time off. Get well soon.

KeepTheHope · 23/11/2015 10:31

Newly graduated viroid alert! Just over 4 weeks, bfp last Thursday. Just rang my docs and they didn't even ask my dates, just made me an appointment with the midwife for 8th Dec.

We've also just booked an early scan for 16th Dec so we can tell dh's grandparents on Christmas Eve and actually have answers to their no doubt millions of questions.

Symptoms so far - lower back has been niggly for about a week, boobs are sore, weird little pains and tugging feeling in the abdomen, headaches for the last couple of days and yesterday I could have thrown up a number of times. Pretty sure I shouldn't be getting all that yet and DH is totally freaked out at the idea of there being more than one in there!

Peenut · 23/11/2015 10:55

Hello Keep! I missed your BFP news, congrats! Lovely to see so many grad viroids over here Grin

I think that sounds very normal for 4 weeks. And my GP was the same, saw the midwife at just over 4 weeks which was a bit of a weird time to be given a folder marked 'labour information for women over 34 weeks'! ARGH!

Feathered don't beat yourself up! Get a hot water bottle and lay flat on the sofa –you can catch up when you feel better. (I need to take that advice sometimes, I feel like a right lush if I have a sick day!)

Heaters broken in work ... it's 7 degrees. My hand has gone numb!!

KeepTheHope · 23/11/2015 11:06

Ah thanks pee! That's put my mind at rest Smile I'll be just over 6 weeks at the appointment, I'm trying to ignore the actual giving birth bit at the moment!

Feathered take it easy, hope you feel better soon BrewThanks

5hell · 23/11/2015 11:13

pretz Flowers - easier said than done, but try not to preempt any side-effects etc - you might have no problems, and stress/worry etc can give us their own side-effects...PMA!

hi keep waves :)

5hell · 23/11/2015 11:21

well after a lovely weekend away catching up with my chum in N. Ireland, I am officially shattered; have done almost no actual work at work today, and would really like to just go home to bed!

her toddler was a pretty good advert for kids, so wasn't too put off/terrified by him Grin and she bought me 4x lovely cloth nappies, so my stash is officially started. only complaints are crappy diet all weekend and she's really militant about BF-ign (exclusive/extended), attatchment-style parenting, cloth bumming, slings, no sleep training/CIO etc etc. A lot of it I agree with, but she's so judgy and vocal about it it's a bit scary; she nearly had a set-to about it with a stranger in the pub! Confused good job i love her!

KeepTheHope · 23/11/2015 11:24

Hi 5hell! ^^ Can't believe I'm here Grin

CountryGal4 · 23/11/2015 11:53

Waaa protein in the wee this morn :s gx for mild infection as have had puffy feet/hands all week Confused

jellypi3 · 23/11/2015 12:05

Ahh country what a nightmare! Are they sending you to hospital to be checked out?

oneyorkshirepud · 23/11/2015 12:39

Oh no Country, how is your BP?

Absolutely lovely to see so any newly upduffed Viroids on here - welcome!!

5hell, sounds like a slightly intense weekend, remember that only you get to pick your parenting path and everyone else can bugger off!

Pee! What a day for the heaters to break! It's freezing here!

Just discovered that masterchef the professionals has started - Wahoo! This is going to keep me entertained on mat leave!

Mermaid36 · 23/11/2015 12:57

OMG - can already see I'm going to have an issue - can only have a midwife appointment on a Wednesday between 1 and 2.30 (forever)....that means I'm going to have to take half a day off work every time I have an appointment facepalm

oneyorkshirepud · 23/11/2015 13:06

You don't have many to begin with Mermaid, one (maybe two) before your 12 week scan, one at 16 weeks and then they ramp up a bit after 22 weeks I think. MW services seem to run differently in different parts of the country - mine are really flexible, I don't have to see the MW at my surgery, I can see her at another clinic or at the MLU. I had my booking in appointment at my house on a Sunday! (And it's all free, bloody love the NHS!) So chat to them and see what they can sort for you.

jellypi3 · 23/11/2015 13:08

Also mermaid they have to give you time off for appointments so you don't have to use annual leave

Mermaid36 · 23/11/2015 13:16

I didn't really want to have to say anything at work yet, as I'm not even 5 weeks....plus my immediate boss has just announced her pregnancy - due in May!

oneyorkshirepud · 23/11/2015 13:33

Can you just say you have a docs/hospital appointment? You don't have to tell work for ages

MollyBloomYes · 23/11/2015 13:48

Welcome corgi, mermaid and keep! Lovely clutch of bfps Smile

Feathered I had pneumonia at 18 and have the same thing, everything goes to chest now. Also had many many spontaneous pneumothorax (collapsing lung) on other side for no real reason hence complicated high risk births, hours of pushing not great for me (you'd think they'd be more keen on ELCS after all this!)

Thank you again to all of you for your support and incredibly sensible words. He came to get suits and stuff last night and we managed to be quite civil, both of us crying. He says the more he talks to people the more he's getting a better idea of what's going on in his head so asked to take this week and meet at weekend to discuss what's going on. I think that's pretty sensible, I could do with the time too. I have no idea if he'll realise he does still love me, just that love in a long term relationship does change or what, whether he's panicking because his parents had such a toxic relationship that first sign of trouble means things must be over in order to save DS from what he went through, dunno. I do know if he does want to try and work things through it'll be a very very long process and he can't stay here while we do. Or he might still be convinced it's over and I guess I'll have to respect that. Lots of things to think about sorry for the brain dump!

To add insult to injury had a letter from maternity outpatients cancelling consultant appointment next week when I was meant to be discussing and hopefully booking ELCS. Rescheduled to when in 38 weeks eg potentially only a week away from when it should be happening! After sobbing down phone to lovely midwife it's been reinstated but might be long wait because of strike. Don't care about that I'll wait all afternoon if necessary just want things sorted!

CountryGal4 · 23/11/2015 14:30

Bp fine and wee getting sent off for analysis. I am to go to the hostipal if I have even the slightest wiff of a headache or a puffy face though
