Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 41st grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 40th grads thread is HERE

The thread we have graduated from is HERE in its 55th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread HERE
for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

HERE is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

Afternoon Viroids!

I'm newly graduated - 4 and a bit weeks with my first....found out on Thursday and have spent the last 3 days working 18hr days at a massive Christmas fair with my own business. Not much time to process and/or panic!

I think I need major hand holding though Confused

pretzelpieces · 22/11/2015 13:13

Oh molly, that's heartbreaking for you. Very angry on your behalf. Flowers

mermaid welcome and congratulations! We are here for all the hand holding and questions. Smile

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 22/11/2015 13:19

Congrats Mermaid excellent name too!

Molly well done for getting some sleep. Try not to worry about DS too much. He is little now and won't remember this. What matters in the long run is whether he is loved and has his needs met and I have no doubt you'll be able to do more than enough in both those departments. Right now all that matters is for you to keep your head above water and to give him lots of love. There are lots of people who love to whinge and moan about how divorce ruins children's lives but that really is only yhe case when one or both of the parents gets bitter and acts like a tool. As long as you and your DCs father make a commitment to doing what is best for them you will find a way through and your kids will be absolutely fine.

SecondCupOfTea · 22/11/2015 14:04

Welcome mermaid Smile

ThursdayLastWeek · 22/11/2015 17:36

Welcome Mermaid lovely to have some fresh meat Grin congratulations!

Molly its awful. Its shit. I can't even imagine how you're feeling right now. But it won't feel like this forever. Sky talks sense, your DS will be a stand up guy with two parents who love him, you need to focus on yourself right now Thanks

We all went to a 2yo birthday party earlier, then the whole family had to sleep it off Smile. Got some beef roasting now YUM

molly its going to be harder for you than him. If his dad had been out for a srag do last night so stayed in a hotel and wasn't there this morning you'd have just picked up ds and chuckled at how cute he is. Don't beat yourself up about this stuff. He won't remember it and he will adjust quickly.

Hi mermaid and congrats! Plenty of hand holding here. Dare I say it I think I'm just past the major freak outs at 10wks but now starting to freak out about next scan in 2wks! It never ends! Make sure you add yourself to the stats sheet.

KateBeckett · 22/11/2015 18:17

molly I'm so sorry. Flowers if it helps at all, it will definitely be worse for you than ds- my dad is an absolute shit, apparently he used to come visit, stay for a little bit and then piss off to the pub whilst I bawled my eyes out saying 'please daddy, stay with me' . I don't remember any of it, and my mum did a fab job with me. It was def harder for her than me, as I don't remember it. I'm so sorry he has done this to you all. What a fucking nob end.

Getting a little bulge! It's freaking me out a little bit... First midwife appointment tomorrow. I don't know my blood type tho, will she be able to find out somehow?!

welcome mermaid Smile it's nice to not be the last grad haha!! I have needed lots of hand holding and hooyahs since my bfp so don't worry. I'm sure it will sink in soon! Have you had any symptoms yet?

jellypi3 · 22/11/2015 18:39

Welcome mermaid and congrats :)

molly I'm sure it must be so hard at the moment but sky talks sense. Your DS will be ok. I hope you are eating.

kate they will find out your blood type when you have your first blood test, don't worry about it for now.

So we have unpacked 2 rooms in the new house. It's been an exhausting few days, I'm off work till Thursday to carry on unpacking!

Good news is now we are in I can finally start buying baby stuff. So I just bought a box of nappies, a bottle starter kit, a glo egg and a gro snug plus some lasinoh.

Woo for baby shopping :)

corgi88 · 22/11/2015 19:10

Hello lovely grad viroids! I have just plucked up the courage to pop in here from the latest JS thread- got my BFP yesterday morning which was a bit of a shock after all the boohoo I've got PMS wine the night before
I may need a hooya though as I am getting lots of random pelvic pain and almost witch-like cramps - anyone else had these?
Also when do you do all the midwife booking and all that jazz? am v. clueless for someone actually doing an obs&gynae job at the moment!! haha.
molly I read back a bit and saw your shitty news. Unbelievable. Really hope you are holding up ok. Cake Flowers

KateBeckett · 22/11/2015 19:20

Eee! Congrats corgi Flowers I've had loads of crampy, stretchy, Staby pains and all seems fine so far (nearly 8 weeks) I rang the docs and they booked me straight in with the midwife, but it might be different where you are - I basically rang the GP and said I'm pregnant what do I do?! Just give them a call and they'll sort you out.

jellypi3 · 22/11/2015 19:23

Welcome corgi congrats! :) booking in depends on your area. Phone your gp surgery and find out what they want you to do. Some ask you to self refer yourself, others require you to see a nurse or gp first.

Also don't worry about pains. They are totally normal in the early stages. If they start to get unbearable or you get pain in your shoulder phone your local early pregnancy unit :)

FeatheredTail · 22/11/2015 19:25

Just catching up with the thread after a freezing weekend visiting friends for a super fun thanksgiving party up north! Think I've caught my death - asthma has started up badly which is shit.

Jesus, Molly I'm so sorry this is happening to you. I'm really shocked someone could do this to another person when they are so pregnant/such a vulnerable time. Glad you have your bros and parents around you. Don't drop off the thread. If you ever needed a viroid in RL to mouth off to I'm in the south east too and am a good listener. Sending love.

FeatheredTail · 22/11/2015 19:26

Mermaid and Corgi really lovely to see you here and huge congrats! I'm now enormously intrigued as to what you do Mermaid - a Christmassy business?!! HELL YES!

oneyorkshirepud · 22/11/2015 19:30

Congrats on your bulge Kate!

Wooho for baby shopping Jelly! So exciting!!!

Molly I work with lots of happy, healthy kids whose parents are divorced. DS will be fine, especially if he knows you both love him lots, which I am sure he does.

Welcome Mermaid and Corgi, you are about to start a totally awesome adventure. Corgi I love that you don't know what you are doing ha ha! Womble cramps totally normal, I had them until at least 20 weeks but they were worst in the first few weeks. I had to take paracetamol one night in order to make it to the school prom. It is just everything stretching and changing, getting ready for little bean to grow.

Sanded like a beast today. Dust everywhere
Ga would be having a panic attack. Grin

lildottie · 22/11/2015 19:47

I didn't phone gp until I was discharged from fc at 7+5, had me appt at 8+5 and was told they like to do bloods after 10+4 to account for dating errors so mine are Thursday at 11+0, and scan was booked by me at 8+5 appt and got date thru on Fri at 10+1 for appt at 12+1. So that's my area! Quite efficient really. I think some don't like to see you before 8w as mc risk is much higher before then.

jelly yay for baby shopping!

Kate I'm still convinced my bulge is fat and bloat and I'm not really pg! #denial!

lildottie · 22/11/2015 19:48

Oops, forgot to welcome corgi sorry!

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 22/11/2015 19:59

Welcome corgi!

Yay for all the new bfps!

Thinking of you Molly Flowers

5hell · 22/11/2015 20:15

Welcome mermaid/corgi good to see the JS bfps are still flowing :)
Crampy / bloaty / weird pelvic feelings seem to be fairly normal, if worrying and annoying
Here (SE) process was phone Dr, get told to come in n fill in form, mw texted me about 8w, booking in app at 10w including blood n urine tests, scan at 12w (bloods again) and so on.
I think even if u know your blood type (as I did) they'd still test u.

molly - so sorry, take one day at a time and look after yourself Chocolate

pretzelpieces · 22/11/2015 21:07

Welcome corgi. Yeah MW didn't want to see me until 8 weeks. Feels like a long wait. As others have said ring your GP cause it varies by area.

KateBeckett · 22/11/2015 21:28

I want to kill dp!
He made himself chicken kievs for tea and the whole fucking flat stinks of garlic Kiev. Including the bedroom. Envy Envy Envy

Mermaid36 · 22/11/2015 21:55

Symptoms??? Bloody loads! Feels like AF cramps, wobbly hangover tummy, and having thrush/a UTI as well....Yay!

I don't have a Christmassy job per se, but this time of year is my busiest. I make preserves etc, so have spent 3 days at a big fair peddling my wares - 3 days of constant festive music etc.

I rang my Dr's on Thursday and have to go and see the midwife. Making an appointment tomorrow for as soon as possible

Jcandy · 22/11/2015 22:00

Welcome mermaid and corgi! Grin

Done my pre wash of all my reusable nappies today so now I have them all hanging up on an airer and they look so cute! DP says they look scary because there's so many of them.......

YogaPants · 22/11/2015 22:29

Molly so sorry to hear about the shit situation you've been put in. Flowers.

pretzel GD sounds like a bitch. Hope your appointment tomorrow goes well. I don't suffer from Diabetes but have found food low GI food lists helpful in comparing what are better options for maintaining blood sugar levels (I get a little delirious and have trouble speaking when I don't eat frequently enough so try to stick to low gi foods to avoid hunger lows).

www.the-gi-diet.org/lowgifoods/

jelly good job unpacking two rooms worth! I found moving hugely stressful and it took me months to get used to the change and I only moved 7 miles to a neighbouring borough, not 50.

Welcome Corgi and mermaid. Some cramping is definitely normal. I'm also finding (now 12 weeks) that I am more gassy than normal in a sometimes quite painful way these days. Oh the joys!

pretzelpieces · 22/11/2015 22:41

Thanks yoga, unfortunately I'm struggling to keep my sugar levels under target even with eating very small amounts of low gi carbs with meals and they don't want me to cut out carbs completely (and I'm fucking hungry all the time!). Will see what they say in the morning. Congrats on 12 weeks - when's your scan? (have we had this conversation, my memory is terrible!)

YogaPants · 22/11/2015 23:54

Scan was last Thursday. All looked well (baby woke up mid way through and started kicking which was very sweet and made it look very human). We also finally started telling people this weekend. It's quite nice not being just a secret between DH and me (and all the viroids on this forum).
