Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 41st grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 40th grads thread is HERE

The thread we have graduated from is HERE in its 55th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread HERE
for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

HERE is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

Pretz, never fear, we love a GT update as much as an epi-no update! JC are you epi-noing?

Loving the spangly pants!

Lil can't believe you are 10 weeks!

honeysucklejasmine · 19/11/2015 08:48

Wow Lil, its going so fast!

I am not sure what go do long term really. Don't want to need to re-train as a teacher again to re-enter employment... Although having said that the headline on local radio today was about the many thousands of unfilled science vacancies across my region, so might not panic too much really. Wink

oneyorkshirepud · 19/11/2015 08:52

Why would you have to retrain Honey, do you not have QTS? Or do you just mean because you would have had a gap? We just employed someone after a 20 year gap!

Jcandy · 19/11/2015 08:56

Yes pud doing my stretching every day like a good viroid Smile started on 4.75 and made it to 6.5 yesterday so pleased with the progress in just over a week!

Started on the raspberry leaf tea yesterday as thought it was worth a try!

Are you going to have to pay that every day jelly??

It's lovely that you have the opportunity to have the choice honey Smile

10 weeks already lil!

honeysucklejasmine · 19/11/2015 09:04

Pud yeah because of the gap... I would be nervous that they'd feel teaching has changed too much and I don't know what I am chatting about any more.

JC yeah essentially we're chosing SAHM and no holidays or extravagances, or two salaries and a nicer lifestyle. We are lucky we own our house and have a relatively small Mortgage for the SE though! I earned a lot when I worked full time (I'd more than double household income if I went back full time) but quality of life would be soooooo shit. I'd rather eat beans on toast twice a week Wink

Jcandy · 19/11/2015 09:09

Yeah that's what we are having to do so I can get the year of maternity leave off and only go back 3 days a week. It'll be so worth it though!

honeysucklejasmine · 19/11/2015 09:40

Absolutely! Grin it's only a few years, let's face it, our generation will work till we're 80 odd Wink

5hell · 19/11/2015 10:10

morning all,

Happy birthday to the small Carrot carrot Cake ...have you got a party or shizzle to sort?

lil woop woop for double figures! Grin ...we all cant wait for your next scan

ouch jel! - can you get some sort of monthly ticket to svae a few ££s? DH commutes and finally went from getting the monthly to an annual ticket, which is a painful layout but saves a grand or so each year in the end!

I'm planning on sahm-ing too (although haven't told work yet) - I dont really see how we can have any real quality of life otherwise, as we normally both work long days. I want to see the kid and not spend all weekend doing chores! Obvs I may actually go mad at home and be desperate to return, but that's plan A at the mo Wink

pretzelpieces · 19/11/2015 10:30

jelly you're not allowed to be 30 weeks cause that means I'll be 30 weeks next week and I'm not ready for that!! Grin doesn't 30something seem really far along though? Congrats on that milestone.

Aw carrot thank you and happy birthday to toddler carrot! What are you doing to celebrate?

lil how can you be 10 weeks! I'm sure it hasn't gone quickly to you though... How fantastic, you'll soon be having your next scan!

fruitlovingmonkey · 19/11/2015 10:33

Ouch Jelly that's horrific! How long does it take you?
Thanks for the link Pretz I hadn't thought to look for mat leather pants. My regular ones are not actually leather, they are coated denim but very realistic and no sweaty crotch. LOVE the sparklies too, you should definitely get them. If you can't have cake at least you can cheer yourself up with sequins.
Congrats on finishing Pud, hope you are enjoying mat leave.
Good work on the epi no JC.
I just got back from the doctor after major scanxiety. Baby is totally fine, all the measurements are good. It was hiding it's face but gave us a good long flash of its wang- team blue!!

fruitlovingmonkey · 19/11/2015 10:35

Oh and happy birthday to mini Carrot!Cake

pretzelpieces · 19/11/2015 11:45

Hooray for team willy fruit!

NFMGD (gestational diabetes; I've a feeling this'll be a regular bulletin): Three spikes in two days so phoned this morning. I'm to keep a food diary today and tomorrow and phone back before the weekend to tell them how it's going. Stricter control on my diet and they might want to move my consultant appointment forward. She was very lovely and said I'm doing all the right things but obviously it's all a bit scary!

pretzelpieces · 19/11/2015 11:46

She said she didn't want me to go over the weekend still having these high spikes Confused so that made me think well it is something to worry about (but also means they're being proactive and supporting me with it now, so that's a GOOD THING).

TriJo · 19/11/2015 11:49

Woohoo, team blue high five :) Glad to hear everything went well for you fruit!

Little man kicked hard enough for my husband to feel it while we were cuddling last night... Blush

honeysucklejasmine · 19/11/2015 11:49

Pretzel have you spoken to Purple or Zyla? They are both diabetic and might have some tips for you, or at least help you stay calm about it.

fruitlovingmonkey · 19/11/2015 11:55

It was always going to be tricky at first Pretz. My df is diabetic and when he first started testing the results were all over the place. You just have to find the eating/ testing routine that works for you. Hopefully they will have lots of advice after seeing your food diary.
Does anyone know how to stop the iPhone changing its to it's every bloody time? Really annoys the pedant in me.

pretzelpieces · 19/11/2015 11:56

honey no I haven't, thanks for telling me. I might put a post on the fb group if I can formulate a more specific question (other than just "argh!" Grin).

MW also asked about where I think I've "failed" in terms of diet and blood sugar which I really didn't find a helpful turn of phrase. Hmm But she was lovely. I know I'm sensitive about this stuff. Will stop babbling at you now, sorry!

pretzelpieces · 19/11/2015 11:57

Whoops cross posted fruit. Yeah I'm definitely only just starting to get a feel for just how much my body struggles with certain foods. I want them to give me a chance to control it with diet before I have to go on meds.

pretzelpieces · 19/11/2015 11:58

(Feeling the irony of my username being something I really can't eat any more.)

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 19/11/2015 14:19

Yay for boybee fruit!

And yay for girlbee honey

I jave been lurking recently but too shattered to have anything interesting to say. Finishing a course of Kefelex today, it has cleared my infectiins but wiped me right out.

jellypi3 · 19/11/2015 15:18

yay for boybee fruit :) great news!!

luckily my weekly ticket is only £119, the £50 return was because i didn't pre-book. Silly silly me!

I want to be a SAHM so bad but it depends on DP's payrise this year. If he can get a good one we might be able to manage it. I just can't face working in London with a baby at home...the thought terrifies me.

pud how's mat leave???

SecondCupOfTea · 19/11/2015 15:55

Grats on the mini-willy Fruit

Lil how, just how(!) are you 10 weeks already?

I'm lucky to be getting almost 11 months mat leave with only a bit of it SMP-only (over three months of it is annual leave), so financially it won't be too harsh. Also, because I work shifts, we'll only use the nursery 2 days a week, sometimes 3.

I feel happier leaving him at nursery now I've been to visit, and feel it's really important for him to socialise with other children. Seeing as we're both in our forties, all our friends/family with children are years ahead of us, so we don't have a ready supply of small children for him to play with (yet).

5hell · 19/11/2015 16:22

yay fruit! congrats!...pics?? (here or fb i'm not fussy Grin)

sonographer was v confident about the genitals at our scan, but she was so speedy we didn't egt to see anything for ourselves, so will just have to take her work for it :)

"Friday" for me today HOORAY!...off to NI tomorrow :)

MollyBloomYes · 19/11/2015 16:30

I'm back! Trying out the talk app as I realised I can easily check in on Facebook on phone whilst ministering to DS so why not talk too? Hand foot and mouth is a BITCH but thankfully over the worst!

Pretzel I don't think that was a helpful phrase at all, regardless of food based brain weasels or not. Hoping you start to find your levels stabilise soon, sure it takes some getting used to to work out what's best for you Thanks

I'm a SAHM we didn't think I'd be able to until mum and dad made their offer for us to move in (would have gone on may leave earlier if I'd known!) Mostly I love it but definitely feel my universe is a bit small and child centric at the moment, I try and keep up with adult outside world if I can, even just if news 24 on in background!

Just had consultant midwife to discuss vbac vs elective. She was amazing I had a massive cry afterwards she was so brilliant! She's going to email an elective plan to give to consultant, I can have a natural c section, she suggested steroids to assist baby's lungs which I hadn't heard of, all really good stuff. PHEW!

Haven't read through properly sorry, but congrats on pink/blue reveals, sorry to those feeling rubbish and well done on house moves!

oneyorkshirepud · 19/11/2015 17:20

Fruit was this your 20 week scan?!?

Mat leave is amazeballs Jelly, got so much sorting and organising done! Went to aqua natal too which was lovely but I don't think it counts as exercise! DH just got home and told me to sit down ha ha.

Molly that is awesome about your CS. Star
