Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 41st grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 40th grads thread is HERE

The thread we have graduated from is HERE in its 55th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread HERE
for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

HERE is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

pud put your feet up!! Grin

Thanks molly. That is great news about your c section!

ZylaB · 19/11/2015 18:59

pretzel if it's just diet controlled at the moment then try going low Gi with your food, it'll stop big blood sugar spikes. So avoid white bread, most breakfast cereals etc as well as the sugar. Try to reduce portions of pasta and potatoes. Should all help keep sugars on a more even keel. Basically, all the fun stuff.. Sorry :(

CountryGal4 · 19/11/2015 20:22

Anyone on here know about tax credits/child benefit/mat pay that can help me work out how long I can afford to take off?

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 19/11/2015 21:09

If you google it there's a calculator online.

ThursdayLastWeek · 19/11/2015 21:54

Ah molly that's great news! Do you feel lighter than air with relief?? I'm delighted for you.

I feel like I've gone back to my first Tri after that bug I had at the weekend - onky eating plain carbs and crunchy things. Bad times. I did manage to go for a very little run with my friend this evening which helped boost my appetite.

'Cuddling' eh TriJo WinkWinkWink

Huzzah for your happy scan fruit, boo for GD uncertainty pretz, Shock for £50 train jelly and to everyone else!

Thanks viroids. I've had a weird feeling all along that it was a boy so it's nice to be right!
Pud I'm 17 weeks. I get a mini scan at every check up and then my next big scan is at 22 weeks, 2 days before Christmas. Make sure you do some relaxing too, you've got a busy few months ahead!
Brilliant news Molly I'm glad you've found someone to fight your corner and get you what you need.

pretzelpieces · 19/11/2015 23:04

Thanks zyla, unfortunately I'm already doing all that and I'm still getting spikes all over the shop, which is why they're concerned (and I'm HUNGRY!). Got to phone back again tomorrow anyway so we'll see what they recommend next. I would like a bit longer to try to manage it with diet alone. I've heard the meds fuck up your gut something chronic and mine is dodgy at the best of times. How did your experience with GD play out? My sister had a terrible time of it Sad

Waterbirth class made me want a waterbirth even more, but it won't happen if I have to be induced, which is now more likely. Something I have not wanted all along. Sorry for being such a bloody misery guts.

5hell · 20/11/2015 05:58

Not even 6am and I'm already on a train!

oneyorkshirepud · 20/11/2015 07:17

Flowers Pretz, hope you can manage to figure out what is happening so you can stay diet controlled. What did you learn about at water birth class? I just presumed you got in and cracked on!

honeysucklejasmine · 20/11/2015 08:12

5hell WTF? Why?!

5hell · 20/11/2015 08:17

Off to northern Ireland for the weekend :)
Currently sat in London City departure's.

Comedy moment when a fairly posh-looking 30something woman tried to take 3 little bags of toiletries through, including some stuff that was clearly >100ml ...didn't see the full aftermath but honestly it's been over 10 years and the rules aren't about to change Hmm

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 20/11/2015 09:13

Today is my first antenatal yoga class! Viroids, I hate and fear group exercise. I have a slice of leftover pizza in my bag as the class intersects with my usual lunchtime... I am stressed out! What should I wear? Should I paint my toenails?

TriJo · 20/11/2015 09:16

Antenatal yoga should be absolutely fine - it's very gentle. Top that doesn't ride up too much and leggings or other comfortable bottoms should be fine. Maybe bring a cardigan too for savasana at the end.

5hell LCY is by far the least painful of the London airports, you are lucky! Enjoy NI :)

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 20/11/2015 09:22

Grin thanks TriJo. I have a Yoga outfit I bought after DD just waiting to fulfill it's destiny... Better go freshen my toenail polish.

pretzelpieces · 20/11/2015 10:06

sky you sound like me with daisy birthing! Hopefully you won't find it as stressful once you settle into the class.

pud yeah pretty much. It was good to have the chance to ask/hear a lot of questions eg I wanted to know about what complications would rule out a water birth. She took us through using water, when you'd get in (5cm usually), what happens when the baby comes out (lift up face first so their mouth and nose come out of the water first), placenta delivery, we looked at pics of lots of different kinds of water birth and talked about how our partners could support us. It was good but not essential by any means.

5hell · 20/11/2015 10:31

sky as long as your feet dont pong you'll be grand :)

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 20/11/2015 10:46

I feel ridiculous out in public in my yoga outfit. It was previously my Wine drinking uniform. Grin

SecondCupOfTea · 20/11/2015 11:58

I was rather shocked Sky, I didn't have you down as someone with skanky toenail polish. But I'm happier now I've read your next post saying you were redoing it Grin

I need to sign up for a yoga class...keep putting it off Hmm

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 20/11/2015 12:27

I did it! Although I did have to lie down a bit before the others as my bump was feeling tight and sore. I've been having mild cramps lately while walking back from the school run. I will be 23 on Weds, anyone else started feeling a bit overstretched at that stage?

oneyorkshirepud · 20/11/2015 12:31

I was definitely still having cramps in the 2nd tri Sky and these seem to have been replaced by BHs. Definitely worse when I was being busy.

Just looked in the mirror and my bump has definitely dropped, hopefully this means baby is engaged. I have the MW again on Thursday so will find out then!

ThursdayLastWeek · 20/11/2015 13:14

sky it takes a millisecond of over activity to make me feel that I've over done it!

OP posts:
ZylaB · 20/11/2015 14:02

pretzel I'm type 1 and have been since I was 8 so mine was a different story :). If you're already eating well like that you may end up on tablets or possibly even injections. I've known plenty of people where the tablets didn't affect their guts at all, so you may be fine. I think the most positive thing is to know it's only for a while..once the baby is out that should be it!

MollyBloomYes · 20/11/2015 20:40

Thanks all, yep huge relief, feel like I can finally breathe!

sky I still get stretchy uncomfortableness and then the next day realise my bump looks bigger so I'm putting it down to skin and muscles adjusting to growth spurts
pud exciting!

DS has not had one bedtime this week with both parents, we've been a bit ships passing in night! Looking forward to doing something (dunno what yet) together tomorrow, much needed family time. Then shower on Sunday, cant wait to see all my friends, we are all far too busy and never see enough of each other so should be good. Hope everyone else has got nice weekend plans.
