Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 41st grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 40th grads thread is HERE

The thread we have graduated from is HERE in its 55th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread HERE
for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

HERE is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

Thanks pud!

I just popped my spatone cherry. vom face. Hoping it helps with my wooziness.

jellypi3 · 17/11/2015 18:24

Packing is almost finished thanks to an effort of both sets of parents! I am shattered lol!

sky almost 30 weeks so not that prepared haha!

kate don't panic, bean will be fine. Just take it easy.

pud woohoo for finishing early! !

CarrotPuff · 17/11/2015 18:31

Yay for last day pud!

Hugs for all the pukey viroids Thanks

That is a lot to spend on hospital bag. I don't think I bought anything specifically for it, maybe a small tube if toothpaste. But then I did have pjs and dressing gown that I could wear in hospital. Most stuff wasn't used though as we were out the same day.

I can't stop eating... I'm craving toast with jam but no bread at home!

oneyorkshirepud · 17/11/2015 18:33

Flip! Well done Jelly!

Feel weird about finishing work. Think its because I haven't done everything I wanted to do. I'm sure I will be over it when I am floating about in the swimming pool on Thursday! You never really switch off from teaching though, always checking emails etc so it will be really strange. In a good way though I'm sure!

pretzelpieces · 17/11/2015 19:01

Just had a high blood sugar reading (9.3 and when I repeated it on the other hand 10.4!) Confused bit worried about it. I did have some pretzel pieces with lunch (lol) and I had a half glass of squash 30 mins after food to take the spatone but it still seems really high... Must have been the pretzel pieces I guess. weeps in mourning for beloved pretzel pieces

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 17/11/2015 19:27

Oh no pretz! Maybe it was a fluke?

Illiria · 17/11/2015 19:29

pretzel so sorry to hear. Love pretzels but they now taste odd :-(

Pud yay for maternity leave. I have no idea how much I will get as there are three types of leave that can apply and some are concurrent and some consecutive. Will have to book in to see hr once I announce.

Baby brain has already set in, I forgot we had a meeting last week so didn't do the departmental meeting minutes :-( will have to do two sets today after the meeting today.

KateBeckett · 17/11/2015 19:39

I know honey I was really angry. Luckily it turned out to be something else, but to just send him in when they knew it could be chicken pox, which is really contagious! Angry

pretz glad you are getting the hang of it but boooo sorry about the high reading! Have you been given any advice about what to eat etc yet? It could well have been the juice though, if you ate the pretzel pieces ages ago...

Yay for maternity leave pud ! Enjoy it Grin

Have decided I am going to ring in sick again tomorrow and get a docs appointment ASAP to ask to be signed off for a while. GP was really sympathetic last time so hopefully will be again! Means I'm going to have to tell work though, so will have to draft an email... Should I send tonight before I ring in sick, or tomorrow afterwards?!

honeysucklejasmine · 17/11/2015 20:41

I would send it now Kate, along with cover work. We had an answer phone on the school line so i have once left a message saying I wouldn't be in the next day.

CountryGal4 · 17/11/2015 20:49

Got the new enormous car at the weekend. Weep farewell mini :(

jellypi3 · 17/11/2015 20:58

OMG how exciting country! What car? Wish I could afford a new one.

My bum hurts :( and fuck me it's windy outside

KateBeckett · 17/11/2015 21:28

honey we have to phone the head after half 7 on the day... So I need to decide if I want to her to know before I speak to her or after! Feeling a bit nervous about how they will react to the news! Silly really...

honeysucklejasmine · 17/11/2015 21:35

Jelly my bum hurts too. Not sure why, hope it sorts out overnight. It's also windy here such that the fences that broke on Saturday will prob actually call tonight. Neighbour has organised for someone to come out and quote for new ones on Saturday, going to get them to do both at the same time.

pretzelpieces · 17/11/2015 22:05

Yep they've given me advice on what to eat. I think it must have been too much carbohydrate. I had a weep on dp before daisy birthing. Gonna call the MW tomorrow I think. I usually graze more (ideal for avoiding high/low blood sugar) but the testing routine is preventing me eating that way - which seems really counterproductive?

Sorry to hear your bums hurt. Jeremies?

Ooh new car country. Always sad to say goodbye to something like a car that you liked though.

Resisting the urge to comfort eat because I know another high result tonight will upset me. Comfort bought some cute baby clothes online instead.

oneyorkshirepud · 17/11/2015 22:35

Ooh I like the idea of comfort baby clothes buying. We haven't bought many as everyone says we will be given loads, but I am just not sure where all these magical baby grows are going to come from! Think we have enough to get us through the first few days though.

Ouch, sorry for the sore bums. How are you feeling after your slide down the stairs Jelly? Hope you are taking it easy now!

Stupid wind blew a branch of a tree which knocked my wing mirror off, and then I tried to Gaffa tape it back on and cut my finger on the mirror bit. Baby definitely learnt some new swearwords tonight!

honeysucklejasmine · 17/11/2015 22:41

Technically it is the region to the right of my coccyx which hurts.

Shopping is a good plan!

pretzelpieces · 17/11/2015 23:27

Oh boo for poorly bums and cut fingers shakes fist tomorrow had better be kinder to the viroids or there'll be hell to pay, in the name of the womble conker! woo

Jcandy · 18/11/2015 06:26

Last day at work pud Smile trust me you'll love it!

Have you explained that that's how you normally eat pretzel there should be a way around it with the testing..

Kate I found you can never predict how someone will react to the news, it's what's happening though so either way they have no say in it Smile

I'm awake and don't need to be. Sleep is proving more and more difficult at the moment

oneyorkshirepud · 18/11/2015 06:56

Sorry for the lack of sleep JC, tis a cruel symptom of pregnancy consider how little sleep we are going to get once babies arrive! Can you nap during the day to make up for it?

jellypi3 · 18/11/2015 07:10

Oh no I think our wind damage was minimal luckily. Sorry those of you with smashed and broken things.

Very sore this morning pud but ok. I was more shaken than anything. Removal men here in 2 hours so although I'm resting I also have stuff to do! Grrrrrr.

pret let us know what the mw says.

CarrotPuff · 18/11/2015 08:01

Boo for some bums.

Hope you get a good nap later JC!

pud tbh IME people buy you either outfits or toys. I think they just think you'll get everyday stuff yourself?

My DSIS is coming over with her 1yo DS for a week tonight. It will be lovely watching the kids play together but other than that 2 toddlers in the house = nightmare!

CarrotPuff · 18/11/2015 08:02

Sore* bums!

Peenut · 18/11/2015 10:00

Cake for the sore bummed and sleepy ones! I woke up wide awake at 5:30. 5:30! WHY?

Let us know how you go on with telling the head –I'm sure she will be fine and has heard it lots of times before :)

I'm already stressing about what to do when I eventually tell those I work for I'm upduffed. (If I hopefully fingers crossed, touch wood get to that stage.)

I'm freelance so I already know I won't be able to take a very long mat leave as I'd be leaving projects half way through unfinished and due to the nature of my work I'm the only one who can do them! On the plus side, bambino could come to work with me in the beginning. (Ha ha! I'm sure that'd work out fine!)

Anyway, seems ridiculous to be worrying about all that at 6 weeks pregnant ... LONG way to go yet!

Is anyone else here self employed? I'm getting annoyed that all the info I've been given by the midwife assumes I am employed by somebody! Would be nice to know how other people have managed winding down projects/leaving them half way through, hey ho. What can you do? Women have babies!

5hell · 18/11/2015 11:10

honey/jelly hope your bottoms are on the mend today! :)

well i've finally started getting organised and doing baby things...booked NCT course and flu jab yesterday, ordered fancy-pants preggo pillow, and have put lots of clothes that no longer fit away in a big suitcase. I think next job has to be coat purchasing.

in less-good news DH says I was proper snoring last night Blush

pretzelpieces · 18/11/2015 11:32

Sorry about the lack of sleep jc. Hope you can have a restful day.

jelly hope it went well/is going well with the removal company. Exciting!

pee I think lil is self employed?

5hell Star for you, sounds very organised! I need to sort out this boots order and put stuff in hospital bag/find homes for it as necessary.

Holding off on calling the MW for now. I will ring if I get another high result. She did say I can test after an hour if I need to (and gave a different figure it has to be below).

I rang my social worker for a chat this morning instead. Had a cry and a talk about what issues the food stuff is raising etc. It was helpful. I think a lot of my upset yesterday was to do with that. We'll see how the bloods go today. Just need to keep on swimming keep on swimming.

My giant pants for around the birth and possible now too arrived today! Haven't tried them on yet fuck it, I'm already dressed. They are like big white sails haha
