Hope you're ok Biffleroo Thanks

bikingintherain · 03/11/2015 00:10

Fingers crossed for you biffle, hope you're getting the help you need.

BiffleRoo · 03/11/2015 06:51

Bleeding seems to have stopped for now and no more cramping so hoping it was nothing. Have woken up with a stinking cold and terrible sickness and nausea but I'll take that.

obsessedlex · 03/11/2015 07:22

That's good news biffle I've had lots of cramping and some bleeding this pregnancy and the scan showed that everything was fine. I would contact epu they take pain and blood very seriously and will offer you a scan I would expect and it will give you reassurance to see all is ok I'm sure xx

Violet88 · 03/11/2015 08:38

Biffle hope you are okay, if your sickness and nausea is back I'm sure that's a positive sign that little one is ok in there and the bleeding isn't anything to do with them! Are you getting a reassurance scan for peace of mind?

Had my scan last night and little one is fine, in the right place and has a nice strong heartbeat!! The sonographer said I looked terrified when I walked in, but I was sure she was going to tell me something was wrong, so it was such a relief. I've also moved forward a day too, I thought I was 8+0 but she said 8+1, so I'm 8+2 today. EDD 12th of June.

For people wondering about reassurance scans this one was £45 and that includes either a DVD of photos and video clips of baby or two printed out photos. That's in Liverpool by the way.

Got scan at EPAC on Thursday. I'm sure it's nothing but I've had 3 mcs so I'm paranoid

Mrspopper · 03/11/2015 09:20

Ah lovely violet! Reassurance scans are more than double that in london :(

Mrspopper · 03/11/2015 09:21

That's good biffle

laughingGnomette · 03/11/2015 09:25

Good news biffle, I'm keeping everything crossed for you x

Great scan Violet!

Louise34567 · 03/11/2015 09:36

Is it too late to join the group?

I found out I'm pregnant a few days ago and it'll be my first. Very excited, but nervous ...

Due date is mid-late June 2016.

bikingintherain · 03/11/2015 09:37

I'm pleased you can have the scan biffle, I'm sure it will be able to put your mind completely at rest.

bikingintherain · 03/11/2015 09:38

Welcome Louise and congratulations.

Louise34567 · 03/11/2015 09:57

Thank you bikingintherain.

Biffle hope all goes well, I'm sure it will.

Anyone else suffer from waking up several times each night?

I now have a supply of dried fruit next to the bed for when hunger calls...!

iamdivergent · 03/11/2015 11:23

Been to Dr this morning and she's prescribed me a weeks course of anti sickness tablets. I've called in sick to work so just taking it easy today.

bikingintherain · 03/11/2015 11:59

I hope they help divergent, mine aren't a miracle cure but they definitely make a significant improvement to me. If you can enjoy your day of rest.

bikingintherain · 03/11/2015 14:31

Quick question.... Is a 9 week scan likely to be internal or external? do I need to have a tidy up downstairs?!

BiffleRoo · 03/11/2015 14:41

9'week is usually external but does depend on your size. I was a 16/18 last time I was pg and it was external.

Lovelybeano · 03/11/2015 14:42

Back from a lovely weekend at mablethorpe and trying to catch up on posts :)
divergent I hope the tablets help you xx
biffle I'm glad you got a scan to help put your mind at rest.
Welcome to all the newbies xx
I seem to have had a growth spurt so I think I am going to invest in a pair of trousers and a pair of maternity jeans this weekend. I'm really uncomfortable in my clothes at the mo. I think I must carry a lot of water because I'm only 7+2, it's not excess weight because I'm 3&1/2lb lighter than when I found out lol anyone else invested in any yet? Xx

nehagarg · 03/11/2015 15:31

My 9 week was internal biking and I am a size 12. Guess it depends on the EPU really. Better be safe ... Grin

nehagarg · 03/11/2015 15:33

I have gained 4 lbs, lovelybeano. And I am 10 weeks. Have to keep reminding myself its because I am pregnant, every time I get irritated. Boobs have gone up a size though so definitely on the look out for some new cheap bras (will probably go up again so dont want to invest too much)

OP posts:
Louise34567 · 03/11/2015 15:35

Lovelybeano I seem to be carrying around a bit of bloat at the moment and as a size 10 and quite tall it's pretty obvious... I think I may have a look at some maternity trousers in the next few weeks, too. You're not alone! It's a good excuse to do some shopping too...

This is a silly question but for the internal scans, is it basically like a smear? bikingintherain I'm wondering the same thing!

I am irregular so they want me to go in for an early scan to date it, I presume. Waiting for the letter to arrive to organise it. Trying to be patient.

Louise34567 · 03/11/2015 15:36

nehagarg I have the same thing ha ha! If there's a bonus to pregnancy symptoms this must be it, right.

Violet88 · 03/11/2015 16:19

I've just had some bleeding when I wiped, its pinky brown definitely not bright red blood. Put a pad on to monitor and there is a couple of small drops of pink/brown on there too. I've got no pain at the moment. Just when I'd just begun to feel a bit reassured after heart beat on scan yesterday! Called my midwife and when I told her about the scan yesterday she said that was "reassuring" and basically to just see how it goes. She said it wasn't unusual as I was 8 weeks? Does that mean because my second period would be due about now?

Biking my 8 week scan was external. I guess it just depends, they will probably try external first but then consider internal if they can't see??

Louise34567 · 03/11/2015 16:21

Violet88 maybe it depends on whether you've got a retroverted uterus or not, too? I heard that retroverted uteruses can make detecting it a bit harder.
