Mrspopper · 02/11/2015 12:16

Good luck Jo. At booking they just asked for any major health issues on andys side... They didn't go into much detail.

nehagarg · 02/11/2015 12:20

Good luck for scans today! Mines tomorrow and tbh I'm more excited about not having my daughter for an hour. I'm finding her along with nausea and fatigue a bloody nightmare.

Anyone who wants to join the fb group: send me a private message and I'll reply with my name and profile pic ...I don't seem to be able to find people via email addresses!

GuessHowMuchILoveGin · 02/11/2015 12:50

I feel your pain, JellyBaby. I am off this week, and will be in sole charge of the toddler, who has a cold. It is such blinking hard work!

17caterpillars1mouse · 02/11/2015 12:51

I have been feeling awful all of yesterday and today, yet I felt better than usual on Saturday. Still nausea and heaving a lot. Struggling to eat much, absolutely shattered and now have a massive headache too. I had really bad cramps yesterday and during the night, but think that might have been due to constipation (sorry tmi) - I never though pregnancy could make you feel so off colour.

On the plus side am 9 weeks today :) booking appointment on Wednesday and not long to go before we finally get to see baby (grape this week) at the 12 week scan.

Went out for breakfast after church yesterday with in-laws and I had Marmite and Jam on toast and they asked if me and DH had anything to tell them lol we just pretty much ignored the question as it was made in jess. Cannot wait to tell both our parents after 12 week scan though as we know they will be over the moon and will be first grandchild for both sets. We're thinking of not telling siblings and grandparents until Christmas day so we can tell them all together

jellybelly I will be waiting til further along, but will join the facebook group eventually :)

longbath · 02/11/2015 13:03

Hi everyone, just back from the doctor's, I'm officially pregnant and due June 12th. Have been waiting to join until I reach 8 weeks although I've been following from the start. JellyBaby26, I'll be messaging you with the contact details :) xx

Mrspopper · 02/11/2015 16:13

Also whoever was worried about their weight.... I refused to be weighed today, the midwife said she had too. I said she didn't. I'm happy to have GTT test etc. last time BMI was bit high so they tried to refuse home birth, I researched and found it was fine and had an uncomplicated birth. I sound like I'm really stroppy but I'm not at all but sometimes worth fighting your corner!

Snowflake16 · 02/11/2015 16:49

Sorry I've not been around the last few days, after the last few weeks worry about not having any symptoms the fatigue, bloating and nausea started up again. Feeling much better today though.
Good luck to all those having scans, sorry to those still feeling awful. Flowers

mrsmugoo · 02/11/2015 17:38

I had to go to an "early pregnancy information session" at the midwife clinic today which was a massive waste of time as it was at 9am, I don't have childcare on Mondays and didn't want to take DS so had to persuade DH to go to work later to look after him.

All it was was info on what you can/can't eat, screening available etc... Even though I've already had a baby they wouldn't let me just collect the forms for my booking appt they make you attend the session.

Anyway, apart from the tiredness is back, the sickness and nausea has eased and I've been fine today.

I'll join the FB group a bit later on I think, maybe around 20 weeks.

iamdivergent · 02/11/2015 17:54

Feeling so rough, been sick alot today Sad I just had plain pasta for dinner and it's just sitting there, I can feel it. I am a saliva monster too it's just constantly swirling around in my mouth which I think is making me feel more sick iykwim? Boobs feeling a bit better but bloated!

Welcome to the newbies! Haven't heard anything really booking or scan yet hopefully will hear this week. I told my boss on drs advise and today told my colleagues who I share an office with today (there are 5 of us in our office) during to the fairly apparent sickness going on in the nearest loo! I've told them to keep it quiet, my own dds don't know which I feel bad about but I don't want to tell them til all is well after 12wks scan.

PrincessPunzie · 02/11/2015 18:02

That's good to know about the weight thing mrspopper I don't weigh or measure myself as it's a trigger for me (recovered bulimic) - I'm dreading telling the midwife this as I'm sure she will write "eating disorder" all over my notes but I will hold my ground. It's obvious to look at me they my BMI is normal so it shouldn't be essential, and I know I'm eating right so that should be enough. Good on you for holding your ground!

I slept for three hours this afternoon, I felt so tired! I work freelance but am normally strict about dossing during the day, But I just couldn't face the world today!

Welcome longbath I turned eight weeks last Weds and somehow found it to be a bit of a milestone too.

Mrspopper · 02/11/2015 18:30

Thanks punzie it was hard. I feel a bit shit. I'm not that big! Hey ho doing my best to eat healthily and exercise that's all I can do. If numbers are a trigger for you then absolutely refuse...

JoMalones · 02/11/2015 18:34

Scan went well, little tiny heartbeat seen. Just a bit uncomfortable tonight though.

MiraclesDoHappen82 · 02/11/2015 18:38

Oh congrats Jo so lovely. Uncomfortable in what way?

MollieRos · 02/11/2015 19:08

Biffle sorry you've been having a tough time. I've been really struggling to sleep since I found out- so annoying! I had several weeks where I woke up at 4am without fail, but recently I've needed two toilet trips in the night (aargh!!) and when I get up the second time I then can't get back to sleep for hours. I've pretty much resigned myself to not having another full night's sleep for the next few years!

nehagarg at my booking in appt they didn't ask too much in-depth stuff, just whether there was anyone in mine or DH's family with any medical conditions- heart conditions etc. it was all pretty straightforward. I'm not in contact with my family so I didn't know for my side, and she just left my section blank, it wasn't a problem at all.

Jellybaby good luck for your scan tomorrow!

17 sorry you're feeling so rough, not too long till the scan though (though mine's in 3 weeks and it actually feels like a lifetime away!) I'm feeling similar, I've been so surprised how all-round ill I've felt- I had no idea!

Snowflake I'm not glad you're feeling ill, but good that you're feeling reassured that your symptoms are back!

Jo glad the scan went well- it's so lovely to see a little heartbeat ticking away Smile

JoMalones · 02/11/2015 19:22

Miracles, after turning up with a full bladder, they tried but couldn't do the scan externally so had it internally. I had two trainees and the teacher do the scan so a lot of poking and prodding about inside. Not painful, just like a bad smear but with a better outcome!

MaudGonneMad · 02/11/2015 19:25

Glad to hear more good news from scans. Congratulations to Jo, Slice and others. Flowers

BiffleRoo · 02/11/2015 19:39

Didn't think my day could get much worse after this morning but I've started bleeding

JellyBaby26 · 02/11/2015 19:57

Oh no biffle! Is it heavy? Can you call your EPU?!?

emma85x · 02/11/2015 19:58

biffleroo I'm thinking of you. Is there much blood? Could it just be standard spotting? Hope you're alright. Flowers

MindfulBear · 02/11/2015 20:28

biffle sorry to hear of your worry. I hope the ePU can reassure you. My mum reckons she bled throughout at least one pregnancy and maybe more (I am the oldest of 4).

I caught DS's cold over the weekend so felt terrible - couple that with low blood pressure and i was a complete mess. which was a PIA as i was on my own with DS (3yo) for the whole weekend!!!! He thought all his christmases had come at once - he watched Ice Age 1, 2 & 3, a scooby doo DVD and then i watched Enchanted with him - this was just saturday!!!

Luckily on Sunday i was feeling a little better so managed to get the net off the pool and set up my hammock next to it to keep an eye on him. (yes it is a hard life in the southern hemisphere, shame I am back to foggy old blighty in the new year!)

anyone else suffering with low blood pressure and feeling dizzy? its a terrible affliction. I have also gone off food and I dont think that it helping at all.

emma85x · 02/11/2015 21:14

Biffleroo Are you ok? Any news? Thinking of you Flowers
