Hi all, had a major panic last night. Had a bit of spotting last night and back pain on and off. Managed to get a scan this morning at the EPU and everything is fine - thank god! Was emotional seeing the heart-beat. June feels so far away at the moment.

iamdivergent · 30/10/2015 16:38

Was sick this morning, one bite of toast and away I went. Been feeling rough all day since which isn't great - met a friend for lunch which I managed to keep down, I had a cheese and ham toastie which was amazing but it's been mental watery mouth since! I feel like I have travel sickness constantly and I feel starving all the time but when I eat I can barely manage anything! Frustrating!

JoMalones · 30/10/2015 17:02

For those that had early scans - did you have to have a full bladder. Sorry to ask, was it external or internal? I will be 6+3. Thanks!

nehagarg · 30/10/2015 17:25

Oh no divergent. That sounds horrendous. Hopefully you'll feel better soon

Great news Stella. Glad all is fine. Smile

Jo, both of mine were internal so empty bladder. Not sure at what point they will start doing external ones. Maybe 12?

Oh should have mentioned, my scans so far were at 5+4, 7+1 and 9+2. All internal.

Jo, I thought I was 7 weeks (scan shows I am 6+3) and my scan was external and I needed a full bladder.

vitalite · 30/10/2015 17:45

Jo I had an early scan today at 6.3 and it was internal with an empty bladder. They were able to see the heartbeat too and said it measured perfect for 6.3. So reassuring!

WineCheeseSleep · 30/10/2015 18:11

Hi all. Has anyone else had a 90 min booking in appointment? I don't think I'll be able to get childcare for my son and I am worried at what it will be like. They only do it on Fridays which is a bit annoying. Really can't imagine what we'll do for 90 mins!

SliceofLemon · 30/10/2015 18:13

I am spotting aargh! Terrifying. Reassured by your story stellafox but still was not expecting that! 6+5 today. Should I ring someone/do something?

Stellafox · 30/10/2015 18:23

Lemon, I phoned my GP who advised my local EPU done self referrals so I called them direct and they booked me in for today. Try calling 111 (I'm assuming your doctors is now closed) and they will give you advice. Last night I was convinced I was having a miscarriage but everything is fine so try and stay positive (not easy I know!)

Belvedere · 30/10/2015 18:58

Jo I had an early scan at 6 + 1. Was external and my bladder wasn't full at all and they saw everything fine.
When I had a scan with my first child my bladder was too full and they made me go and half empty it - so hard to do!

SliceofLemon · 30/10/2015 19:07

Thank you stellafox yes GP closed. Managed to get hold of midwife (has booking appnt yesterday). She says go to a and e if gets worse. Otherwise ring gp on Monday for scan. So think I'll sit on it for now and see what happens! FX same story as yours!

Torfhinn · 30/10/2015 19:26

Fx for you Slice - it's so often nothing and normal. I had spotting twice in my last pregnancy and it was nothing at all.

Winecheesesleep - they fill out LOTS of paperwork. My booking appt took exactly 1 1/2 hrs. Sorry Wink

I also external scan at 6+1 - needed full bladder though.

Got my 12 week scan appointment through - it's in exactly 1 month! Grin

JoMalones · 30/10/2015 20:09

Thanks everyone. Will have a couple of drinks before then so not too full just in case external. It doesn't say on the website and forgot to ask. Roll on Monday!

MrsSparkles · 30/10/2015 20:10

Back to the doctor today, have got some antibiotics which I desperately need after this week. Couldn't get out of bed for 2 days (Thank goodness DH had some holiday planned), so I'm hopeful I may start to feel better by tomorrow.

Still no booking apt, need to call midwives if I haven't heard from them.

Stripes1983 · 30/10/2015 21:23

lemon hope everything is ok!
I had our early scan today - saw our little bean and heard the heartbeat , although have put me 2 weeks behind where my dates thought i was so bit disappointed to not be as far on as thought but glad I was ok! And jo full bladder (uncomfortably so!) and I thought I was 9wks and I'm 7.1wks

obsessedlex · 30/10/2015 21:47

stripes gutting hey, I had the same, as if pregnancy isn't long enough already!!

WineCheeseSleep · 30/10/2015 22:28

Thanks Torfhinn I guess I will just go in with a stash of toys and hope for the best. Exciting you've got your scan date, I'm looking forward to getting mine booked in.

Stripes1983 · 30/10/2015 22:31

I know obsessed took me forever to get to 9 weeks and now I'm back to 7! I did think I might be earlier than my dates as think I ov late but still !

JellyBaby26 · 31/10/2015 00:00

My booking app was only 40 mins. I'd have fallen asleep if it was 90!

Hoe you are ok lemon !

Ambergogo · 31/10/2015 08:27

Hi everyone and big congratulations to you all! Hope you don't mind me joining the group. We think EDD is around the 18th but we aren't really sure as I was still breastfeeding DS so hadn't had a period to date from. Hopefully I will get an early scan so we can get a better idea.

Lovelybeano · 31/10/2015 08:59

Hi ambergogo

I'm on holiday this weekend so I won't be about much on here, just dropping in to say hi while I have my breakfast cooked for me :) might get used to this pampering haha. The past few days my appetite is back full force, I can't fill myself up, and the belly has had a growth spurt too - probably from all the food haha I'm hoping to keep it to ourselves until after Christmas because I want to tell the kids Christmas Eve, I'm hoping the tummy doesn't give it away beforehand eeekkk
princess have you changed your exercise routine or stuck to what you normally do? I usually do body combat but the jumping is uncomfortable, I did it lower impact last week and just said I had a bad back, but I was thinking of swapping to aqua aerobics and yoga, I read that step aerobics might be good to strengthen the legs ready for carrying. I need the cardio to keep in shape because I do love my food a lot lol I'm thinking lots of autumn walks will help too xx

mrsmugoo · 31/10/2015 09:49

Woken feeling great! I don't feel sick at all yay!

Aposey · 31/10/2015 10:36

Oh my, I really cant keep up with this thread at all! I cant believe its onto 4 pages before I even found this new one! I'm afraid Ive only skim read the last few pages, so I hope everyone is ok and everything is going well for everyone!

I had a surprise booking appointment yesterday, phone call in the morning and straight in that afternoon! Put my mind at rest as I was starting to think I had dropped out of the system or something.

Because I thought my booking appointment wouldnt be for another few weeks I booked myself a reassurance scan for today, almost wetting myself with nervousness. For some reason Im struggling to think Im actually pregnant or going to have a baby until I actually see some evidence!

Aposey · 31/10/2015 10:38

Oh and I slept 12 hours last night.

Twelve hours!

For the first time in about a fortnight I don't feel exhausted, I really hope it lasts as Ive got a busy weekend lined up! Is anyone else feeling like any time after about 7pm is just too late to function?!
