Welcome insideout .. Smile

The rate at which this thread moves, I think we will have a brand new one before any of us have had a 12 week scan :P ... I think mine is the first in line since my EDD has been pushed back to the end of May.

Anyone want to bet we will be on a new thread before my 12 week scan on Wednesday? Grin

Cracked on with the chores this morning (after my HUGE cream scone haha) but only managed a while before I had to stop for a bit, starting to get really frustrated about it, I still haven't finished upstairs yet pffftt I'm on the school run, then guitar lesson then I think I'm just going to try and finish upstairs and leave downstairs tomorrow, I like to get it all done in one swoop but never mind. I may play the pregnancy card and get oh to help make the beds lol although he's offered to cook tea tonight so I'd feel really mean if he did Blush

TattedPixie · 13/11/2015 15:06

I've only managed to do my dishes and hoover today. Feel extremely nauseous so took a walk to the shop to get some fresh air. Didn't really do much as I got home and flopped on the sofa. Got work in an hour so gonna get my onesie on ready. Gotta love Children in Need because you can dress silly and everyone is too

Louise34567 · 13/11/2015 15:28

beano and tatted my flat is an absolutely tip...

carrie1008 · 13/11/2015 15:30

Hi everyone, had a very stressful few days. I had a big sudden bleed on Wednesday so went off to A&E. Couldn't get a scan until this morning, so have spent the last day convinced I had had another mc (there was a lot of bleeding weds slowing down yesterday) DP is away at a course so SIL has been staying with me.

At scan this morning Little One was absolutely fine with no cause found for the bleed...so relieved!

17caterpillars1mouse · 13/11/2015 15:36

At 10+ 3 sickness has gone up a notch, not getting better. Is this the case with anyone else

Glad your scan went well Carrie

Pamplem0use · 13/11/2015 15:47

17caterpillarsmouse I feel like mine has actually got worse this week... I'm 9+5 now. Finding it all a bit miserable and so exhausted I just want to go to bed (already) but (a) am meant to be working from home this afternoon and have loads to do and (b) have a 5 and a 3 year old to entertain in just over an hours time. :(
On a positive note just had my booking in appointment and looks like another section for me, but the consultant probably won't give me a date until 36 weeks! Boo hiss!

MindfulBear · 13/11/2015 16:49

belleboo
some people just dont bake their babies as long and, in the absence of any issues, I wouldnt call birthing at 34 & 35 weeks excessively early .... I think your MW is worrying you needlessly - unless there were problems with both babies at birth? (were there?) In fact I thought they only put the stitch in the cervix of mums with compromised cervix who might not keep a baby in past 30 weeks.

I have had friends who have had their kids at around 35 weeks and no problems with mother or child, no signs of prematurity in the infant, no development delays later. On the other hand I have had friends deliver by elective CS and for the child to have been clearly delivered far too early (despite dates suggesting they should have been past the 38 week mark).

I am sure there was an article in the news in the last year saying that it is the mother's metabolism that dictates how long she bakes a baby - perhaps you have one of those metabolisms? extra rapid bake?! like the option on my bread machine Smile

Louise34567 · 13/11/2015 17:07

Yes nehagarg I'm with you on that bet!

kezod · 13/11/2015 17:11

Welcome all the new people, I'm sure I was on here a few days ago and the pages have flown by, so much has happened, sad to hear about those who have mc.

Completely agree with the craving for crisps and ice lollies, I've stocked up.
I also seem to be the 1/25 case that just gets sickness in the morning, I've got into a nice little routine of having breakfast, bringing it back up and getting on with my day virtually symptom free, but if I skip breakfast I feel nauseous and awful all day- strange!

I didn't have an early scan in my last pregnancy and wouldn't have known I was pregnant apart from being late, I just breezed through, this time I'm SOOOO tired. They asked if I wanted an early scan this time due to problems later on in the last pregnancy, so I agreed, but the gave it me a 6+3, which they moved me back to 5+4, and couldn't even see anything in the embyro sac, which was very disheartening and worrying, when we went back 2 weeks later they moved me forwards 3 days and saw a heartbeat and said all was well, so it really is a v imprecise art, it depends on the view they get and babies don't grow according to their day-by-day chart so I wouldn't worry. For those who want an early scan I would just prepare yourselves to be moved back a few days/week, as it is normal!

AliceJennifer23 · 13/11/2015 17:12

Hi everyone!
I'm expecting my first baby ever in June aswell :) I've got an EDD for 8th June but I'm unsure of the dates, I can't wait for the 12 week scan to find out my proper due date. Yayyyyy. :D

Lovelybeano · 13/11/2015 17:28

Welcome to all the newbies Smile

Thankyou for those that have said their homes are a tip lately too, makes me feel better to know I'm not just being lazy lol!! I've just got back from the school run & guitar lessons so I'm going to crack with it and get upstairs finished, hopefully before the oh cooks me a delicious steak dinner so I can shower and veg out for the rest of the evening Grin

Potkettleblack2 · 13/11/2015 17:41

I have sooo much housework to do but I can't face it. And I can't face cooking this evening either! In fact I've just put my dressing gown on over my work clothes and jumped into bed! But DH and DS will be home any minute so this relaxation won't last long. But I'm just exhausted! 11 weeks today though so getting closer to scan day...nervous but exciting!

mrsmugoo · 13/11/2015 17:46

Nehagarg can't believe you've got your scan next week how exciting! I haven't even had my booking in yet (it's next Thursday) so not holding out much hope of getting a scan appt by 12 weeks :(

Louise34567 · 13/11/2015 17:50

I don't know how you do it, tidying. You're managing to do so much in your day AND still have a bit of time for organising/tidying - I admire it!

I'm only 7 weeks gone and had a day off today but I only managed to do the dishes. And eat. Feel sick. And eat. Feel sick. And eat. :/

Tomorrow I'll do the tidying...........

nehagarg · 13/11/2015 17:56

Yep mrsmugoo ... Cant wait. I'll be 12 week 2 days! Hopefully you get yours soon! Its a bit annoying that its different everywhere in the country.

Torfhinn · 13/11/2015 18:59

I have to wait until I'm 13 weeks for my scan. Same with DS, I was 13+2 for my scan. I'm consoling myself that we will be able to see that much more detail Grin

I'm sorry you have had a rough week Carrie but so pleased to hear that all is well.

Still rolling along with low level symptoms now (10+4), so feeling much more like my normal self.

Don't flame me for saying it, but I have a cleaner Shock. I have a good tidy up before they come, but never have to clean the toilet! If I didn't, I think my house would be a contestant for 'how clean is your house?'. So glad for it over the past month - I've felt so bad I could hardly move Grin

GrubbyWindows · 13/11/2015 19:27

Oh my goodness no cleaning or tidying here! That's what fathers are for! Last time I cooked once in nine months...
I'm doing more this time, and we are letting things slide more, since there is just so much more work with a small person about, creating havoc and needing to be fed healthily. But I'm still doing very little. Also, we live in a small flat, so there is not that much to clean or tidy, just lots of falling over the mess that there is.
I would LOVE a cleaner. I inherited some money last year, and actually calculated how long I could get a cleaner for if I spent it all on that. I may still crack and do it...

TattedPixie · 13/11/2015 19:28

I clean as my job, so I never want to clean my house afterwards. I've just munched on my dinner, feel almost human but I know it won't last long. Gonna have a long soak in the bath, it's well needed.

dollydaydream84 · 13/11/2015 19:47

Anyone have experience of aching pain on one side? I did get it all across lower abdomen for about the last 2 weeks with it more severe on the right, been really achy today like a period pain just on one side. It doesn't sound like an ectopic pain as it isn't severe/excruciating. Just wondered if it sounded normal?

Actually typing it out made me wonder if it could be a little cyst on one side.

Louise34567 · 13/11/2015 19:48

A cleaner sounds amazing torf!

Louise34567 · 13/11/2015 19:49

dolly I was told at my six week scan (dates were wrong) that I had a cyst in my left ovary - it's perfectly normal throughout pregnancy. All to do with the ovary you ovulated from. Disappears after pregnancy and isn't a cause for concern at all. So don't worry :)

mrsmugoo · 13/11/2015 19:55

I have a cleaner too - 2.5 hours a fortnight. It's a lifesaver!!

Torfhinn · 13/11/2015 19:58

To be fair, you pick what you pay for and we haven't had a holiday in over 2 years Smile I'd always go for the cleaner over a holiday though!

dolly, ectopic pain generally gets worse over time but i had an early scan due to persistent right sided pain so it might be worth getting hold of your local epu for a check. They think i pulled a ligament which hurt for about a week.

Lovelybeano · 13/11/2015 20:43

I would love a cleaner, but the holiday wins every time for me Grin love our family jollys. Oh is very good at helping, he always does the tea pots and takes the rubbish out, but wouldn't even think of changing the bedding, or cleaning the bathroom or running the Hoover round - he would do it though if I asked him to xx
