Hello all, and welcome newbies.

I had my 9 week scan today. All was well and there was only one! I don't think we have any multiples yet do we?

I also found out that I won't get another scan until 20 weeks unless I want the nuchal scan which I have to pay 160euro for as insurance doesn't cover it. Oh well, I'm just pleased everything is all fine!

becky140290 · 04/11/2015 15:41

I had anaemia in my last pregnancy ducky. Don't worry it's all fine, you just get iron supplements and a list of iron fortified foods that you should be eating x

iamdivergent · 04/11/2015 15:57

Just came home to scan and booking appointments! Booking is at home next Thursday at 2pm and scan on 7th December first thing!

MagicDucky · 04/11/2015 16:25

Thanks biffle and becky that's reassuring. I was really worried when she said that and she didn't really explain herself properly. Panic mode was activated.

Hope everyone has had a good day, DD has been a little gem she watched telly quietly this morning and napped with me this afternoon. She must know I'm feeling a bit rubbish!

17caterpillars1mouse · 04/11/2015 16:29

Have my scan booked in! 24th November when I will be exactly 12 weeks :)

BiffleRoo · 04/11/2015 16:32

biking glad scan went well for you. Think I would much prefer 9 and 20 if I'm honest as 12/13 weeks seems far too long to wait to know all is well. When DD1 was born the NHS policy was just 1 scan at 16 weeks which I think is shocking.

No multiples yet that I'm aware of but still quite a few of us yet to have our first scans. I have everything crossed that there is only one baby W in there as we have twins on my side of the family so always a worry!

jbiscuits · 04/11/2015 16:44

Finally booked in today, and got my scan date, which is the 18th, so only 2 weeks to wait.

Glad your scan went well biking .

Currently trying to summon up the energy to cook tea. Fortunately DH should be home in about 15 minutes to take over!

BiffleRoo · 04/11/2015 16:47

Question for those of you on second or subsequent babies.

How early did you feel bubbles? With DS I felt bubbles in the same place several times before my first scan and that was exactly where they found him. This time I keep getting bubbles in the same place again but on the other side of my uterus. Seems too much of a coincidence to me to be nothing.

MollieRos · 04/11/2015 17:11

Sorry to everyone feeling ropey, and welcome to the newbies!

Biffle I'll be thinking positive thoughts for you tomorrow, fingers crossed everything is ok.

Rose and Biking great news on the positive scans Smile

I think I'm definitely going to have to go shopping for some more comfy work clothes at the weekend- I'm really struggling with the bloat at the moment!

TattedPixie · 04/11/2015 17:35

So today has gone from bad to worse! Nausea is at its most evil and the slightest smell is making me gag. I've also found out that my boss has been telling people I'm pregnant, even when I asked her not to. Angry doesn't even cut it!

mrsmugoo · 04/11/2015 18:20

Evening sickness kicking my arse once again. Ugh!

Louise34567 · 04/11/2015 18:58

Tatted that is awful! I'm so sorry for you!!

bikingintherain · 04/11/2015 19:30

Tatted, I would be so cross, in fact I'm sitting here cross for you now, have you said anything to her? Oh and I hope the nausea eases up.

Mollie, I've already bought some maternity trousers, just some plain black ones and a pair of jeans. DH did comment that they're a bit saggy on the bum, I'm wise enough to know that that won't last long!

Oh and for anyone who was wondering my scan was internal. Very pleased I realised this was a possibility. DS (2) was watching, (slightly cringey) and wanted to know if the doctor had fixed by bottom and would I stop being poorly now?

kezod · 04/11/2015 19:51

biking that is so cute/funny!

I've been feeling pretty low grade nausea for the last week but no actual vomiting, hope those that are worse are muddling through ok?

Serious lack of energy over the last few days too, just watched a three hour film, managed not to fall asleep but I have no energy/motivation to do much else! Role on bed time!

Having a scan on friday and if all goes well, we'll tell our parents, really excited!

TattedPixie · 04/11/2015 20:09

I haven't said anything to her but I had to restrain myself when she gave me a lift home.
Nausea has turned into zero appetite just as I cooked dinner. Picked at it for a while a forced myself to eat the potatoes. Hopefully it doesn't last long as I'm going for lunch with my mum and nan on Friday

mrsmugoo · 04/11/2015 20:11

I've eaten some chicken noodles that have stayed down so that's a bonus. No appetite for anything else though. Think I might just go to bed!

Dirtycat · 04/11/2015 20:16

I had a scan today, 7w 3d, all well (except the picture, which is terrible!). I'm ready for maternity clothes, my belly is huge despite the fact that I still weigh the same.

Fingers crossed for you Biffle for tomorrow - hope it goes well x

BabySocks · 04/11/2015 20:25

Hilarious biking can imagine my son saying exactly the same!

Good luck tomorrow biffle I really feel for you. And hope the spotting had stopped violet again I know how horrible it can be.

Welcome to the new ladies, nice to see all the excitement :) I had my scan and dated bang on at 8 + 5 so am now going to be cautiously hopeful. Next stop booking in and then am being refered for conduits care as there is a risk my placenta won't develop properly, it's a long road! !

Really enjoy catching up everyday but usually too tired to post! Feel for the sick ladies, I had a 24 hour bug and it was dreadful so constant sickness doesn't bear thinking about :(

Louise34567 · 04/11/2015 20:38

Sorry for all the ladies who are really tired. I am too ... I long for that one night of solid sleep ... not having to wake up all the time for the loo/no reason. It's making me shattered, which isn't great as I still have to do stuff ha ha.

TattedPixie · 04/11/2015 20:49

mrsmugoo, I have given in and got into bed, it's the only place I can get comfy and not feel too crappy.
Hope all you ladies aren't having a bad night and can relax now it's almost bedtime

Belleboo23 · 04/11/2015 21:14

Two nights in a row I've cooked dinner really looked forward to it, sit down to eat and can't manage more than a couple of mouthfuls. Tonight I ended up with a tin of peaches!

Rose2806 · 04/11/2015 21:28

I had that yesterday belleboo. Tonight I went shopping for ingredients to make a curry but ended up having emergency beans on toast as soon as I got in the door as really thought I would vomit if I didn't eat something quick. The cat wasn't impressed as he usually always gets fed first!

Lovelybeano · 04/11/2015 22:13

Got in from work, come straight to bed but can't get to sleep cos I feel sick :( boohoo, on the bright side I've managed to catch up on posts while laying here feeling sorry for myself :)
tatted id be furious, it's not her news to tell and especially as your boss she's broke confidentiality code, I'm fuming on your behalf, I hope you're ok? at least your work collegues may be able to sympathise with the pregnancy niggles.
biffle I thought I felt ds at around 7 weeks, I was sat on the floor and the waistband of my jeans were really cutting in my tummy quite low down and I felt 3 little bubbles in the same place over the space of a few minutes, I never felt it again though until I was about 14-15 weeks so could of been very strange wind lol

TattedPixie · 04/11/2015 22:53

Thanks lovelybeano, luckily I told my colleagues myself so they've been helpful. Feeling like utter poop right now, so curled up in bed watching TV. Hope everyone is ok too

mrsmugoo · 05/11/2015 04:02

Wide awake at 4am again Angry
