Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 40th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 39th grads fred is HERE.

The thread we have graduated from is HERE in its 55th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread HERE for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

HERE is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

Hi all, had my first nct class today. Loads of information but everyone seemed lovely and it was nice for me and dp to do something together. Think he got a lot from it.

molly that's rubbish, I'm not surprised your friend was devastated. At least no one was hurt though

Good going on nearly new sales jelly and honey haven't braved one yet but then I have most things for now.

Congratulations on your secret santana pud you deserve it Smile Think it's always nice to be looked after by your mum sometimes

Ive only just caught up from last night so now because of that im just about to order pizza Grin Thanks feathered!

honeysucklejasmine · 17/10/2015 18:50

Yes, bouncer chair.

ThursdayLastWeek · 17/10/2015 19:18

I see thanks. I was picturing a jumperoo type thing and was wondering why anyone would have one on their newborn list Blush

But yes bouncy chairs essential for meal eating in our experience - bounce with the foot, eat quickly with spare hand!

MollyBloomYes · 17/10/2015 19:51

Ah the bounce and eat. Know it well!

honeysucklejasmine · 17/10/2015 21:21

I don't know what you mean. My baby will sleep for 18 hours a day.

gaggiagirl · 17/10/2015 21:57

honey my baby does sleep for 18 hours a day. Unfortunately its the hours between midnight and 6am when he is all the awake!!!

purplewhale · 17/10/2015 22:10

Haha Ga mine too! We're getting bits of awake in the mornings now. He sleeps all afternoon, then wakes up about 9pm for 3 hours and again at 5am, with feeds in between!

I take him to baby group, he sleeps through it, I took him to the hairdressers he slept through it, he slept through some of baby massage, numerous lunches out and every time he sees MIL.
The only thing he doesn't sleep through is the night!

Jcandy · 18/10/2015 04:51

Been awake for the last 3 hours Sad No sign of sleep but I'm so tired!

LaLaLaaaa · 18/10/2015 05:24

Gaggia you never seem phased by the newborn stage or too tired. What's your secret? I'm utterly soul destroyed through tiredness. Haven't slept more than 4 hours in a row since he was born and now not even that because he's such a restless sleeper.

oneyorkshirepud · 18/10/2015 07:05

What's stopping you sleeping JC?,

Flowers La, not looking forward to less sleep!

So yesterday I had all of the BHs. I would say about 4 an hour. Is anyone else/did anyone get this many? I've only had one this morning since waking up an hour ago. Normal amount of normal baby movements to mini pud seems fine, although movements do seem to set them off. I am convinced that baby is going to come early but I was hoping for more like 38 weeks not 31 weeks!!

honeysucklejasmine · 18/10/2015 08:27

Right ladies, it seems we need a "Viroids Guide To Sleep Deprivation". What are your top tips?

ThursdayLastWeek · 18/10/2015 08:39

Don't be a martyr, let your DP/H help - it doesn't matter if you think he'll do it 'wrong', you'll be a nicer person in the morning Grin

ThursdayLastWeek · 18/10/2015 08:40

Otherwise it's just grin, bear it, drink coffee, pray they sleep through nice and early.
And some do, DS was sleeping through regularly from 10 weeks.

jellypi3 · 18/10/2015 08:48

I don't sleep for more than 4 hours at a time now! Although I'm able to get back to sleep fairly quickly when DP isn't snoring like an elephant

pud are you ok today? I think i've had minor BH's but nothing like that! Scary times. Getting you ready for labour!

JC Yay for NCT :) My first session is 6th November, i'm really excited. I feel like i'm going back to school lol!

oneyorkshirepud · 18/10/2015 08:50

If it is through lack of comfort then getting up and sleeping else where seems to work for me; change of position/sleeping surface etc? I usually manage a couple more hours this way. Ooh and hot water bottle on my back when I sleep on the sofa, although not 100% sure of the guidance on baby cooking here but I figure it is probably okay?

Jcandy · 18/10/2015 09:25

The general waking up every couple of hours is coz I'm not comfortable and a change of position usually fixes that but sometimes my brain has long enough to start working and won't shut up so I'm awake for hours. I just have to read until I fall asleep again. It was about half 5 in the end that I managed to sleep. Feel so worn out now.

jelly it wasn't the least like school thankfully it was much more fun and relaxed Smile

pud they say if you get 4 bh's in an hour you should get checked out coz that's not normal. Have you been doing a lot more recently?

oneyorkshirepud · 18/10/2015 09:45

Oh really JC? Was definitely having 4-5 per hour last night. Oops. Have only had 2 this morning and I've been awake since 6 so seems to have calmed down. I am having a chilled out weekend so not sure where they came from! Took it easy at the pool this morning but managed 30 lengths without giving birth so I reckon it is all okay for now. If they come back though I will give mau a call.

Jcandy · 18/10/2015 10:14

Yeah sounds like things have calmed down but definitely call if it happens again. I'd mention it to your midwife at your next appointment and see what she says. 30 lengths is good going Smile I really need to try and do more exercise but when I'm not at work I just don't have the energy. Hoping I can try swimming when I'm on mat leave. Put another 2 pounds on this week so it's either curb my eating not gonna happen i love cake too much or do more exercise

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 18/10/2015 10:26

Morning viroids! I've just managed to finally update stats! tattoo we have the same EDD. So exciting Grin

Having a terrible time with XH. Have just learned that he's been lying to me for 6 months and not giving DD the iron supplements the pediatrician suggested for her low iron. He disagrees apparently and believes she's eating balanced meals (she isn't) and has pretty much ignored a letter we got from SENCO about her physical development. I spent a year last year taking her to hospital appointments and blood tests to get to the bottom of why she was tired and did not have the same energy of kids her age and now I find out he's been sabotaging my efforts to get her on track because he's a stubborn vegetarian hippy who thinks 5 spinach leafs a week will cure her! I'm absolutely livid.

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 18/10/2015 10:29

FWIW the pediatrician suggested she be given meat and a string iron supplement and he's done neither but lied to me several times about the supplements and doesn't see the connection between her not being at the right level of physical development and her dietary needs!

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 18/10/2015 10:31

Strong not string. That took 3 goes. My autocorrect really loves the word string.Grin

LaLaLaaaa · 18/10/2015 11:03

Sky that's pretty bad of him to ignore the advice!!

Definitely agree with not being a martyr for the lack of sleep. Although so hard sometimes - my dh can't settle B so I have to weigh up what's better for baby. I don't want him screaming for hours poor thing. But I've just had 2.5 hours sleep because Mr La took him for a walk. Hooray!

ThursdayLastWeek · 18/10/2015 11:17

Sky what a twat that man is...hmm...i wonder if I can figure out why he's your ex...

honeysucklejasmine · 18/10/2015 11:19

Eugh, Sky, what a cunt. Angry I hate it when people let their adult ideals get in the way of what's best for their child.

oneyorkshirepud · 18/10/2015 11:32

Being anaemic is really hard work, that must be tough for your DD Sky. Can you get him to come to the paediatrician with you and get the doc to explain why it is important?
