Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 40th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 39th grads fred is HERE.

The thread we have graduated from is HERE in its 55th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread HERE for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

HERE is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

Morning Viroids! Back at work after hols today (boo!) but am feeling quite refreshed and untired thanks to relaxing hol (yay!). Had ALL the weather, lots of great food, the biggest comfiest bed, caught some culture, and by some miracle managed not to loose an eye to umbrella-weilding tourists!

Congratulations to Bat, Mr Bat and Batlet Grin he is GORGEOUS!

Hope everyone (especially JC) had a better nights sleep last night, and hope the BHs leave you alone for a bit pud

sky you must have the patience of a saint to put up with your ex! I'm not a fan of over-medication, too many anti-bs etc, but I've never heard of anyone anti- vitamin/iron supplements Hmm ps: my MW recommended BACON as a good source of iron...who can argue with that! :)

Wearing a new mat dress today as we stopped at Bluewater on the way back from the airport for a little shopping - I can confirm John Lewis, H&M and TopShop have actual real-life maternity sections there, so I was a slightly happier bunny :) I even got sympathy from DH after several shops had no mat wear and others (H&M) have their sections tucked in the back-most corner of shame - presumeably so that those of us who've had unprotected sex can hide ourselves away! ;)

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 19/10/2015 09:06

Welcome back 5hell! Top tip for maternity wear passed on to me by other wise viroids. EBAY! Just search for your preffered brand and maternity plus your size! I just got a pair of topshop jeans for a tenner!

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 19/10/2015 09:09

Update on vitamingate2015 is that XH has not responded to my email about the change to access at all. However he does want me to collect everything of mine that's in storage at his house Hmm and he was 20 minutes late dropping DD off last night. Le sigh.

fruitlovingmonkey · 19/10/2015 10:24

Well done on the maternity shop Shell. I am hoping to look for some mat gear when I'm in London in a couple of weeks. I don't know if this is really daft, but I am hoping to buy the bare minimum of actual mat clothes and otherwise make do with loose fitting tops and dresses, open cardigans, etc. Is this likely to work? What should be on my maternity essentials list? I mostly work from home so I don't need any office wear. At the moment I am living in 2 pairs of jeans and one pair of trousers that are low rise/ a bit big for me and therefore really comfortable. Can't bring myself to wear anything tighter even though my bump is mainly made of cheese at this stage!

5hell · 19/10/2015 11:10

good luck fruit - to be honest I only bought 1 dress and 1 pair of trousers, but it was nice to see things IRL nonetheless. I now plan to do a bit of a clothing review to figure out what I can still wear for work/casual and therefore what (if anything) I still need to buy. I think that I'll just need a few more tops and a dress or two for when bump is proper big, and some bigger knickers too Blush

In non-mat shopping news I spied several nice pairs of flat, mid-length boots which have got me thinking I NEED them I love shoe shopping!

NFMN(nails) - they are so long I can hardly type Grin ...thankyou preggo vitamins!

ThursdayLastWeek · 19/10/2015 12:07

I thought that first time fruit and regretted it. I hated just wearing the same clothes over and over. Also I don't feel just buying bigger normal clothes fit the same, not in the latter stages anyway.

I'm making up for it this time Smile - mostly eBay purchases though.

honeysucklejasmine · 19/10/2015 12:43

I am kind of ashamed to say that the majority of my clothes still fit perfectly and will do for a while. Blush

jellypi3 · 19/10/2015 12:57

i've got about 5 maternity dresses, 2 pairs of maternity jeans, 12 pairs of big knickers and 4 pairs of bigger sized leggings, plus 8 pairs of maternity leggings (4 being fucking red).

I'm debating about a coat, i'm ok at the moment in my hoodie and a scarf, if i stick my coat over the top it's too hot. I think i'll be ok without a coat to be fair. Jumpers etc. i'm just stealing from my grandad.

I could use another dress or two for work, but seeing as i'm finishing work in 2 months I don't see the point really. When I'm at home I tend to laze aroud in baggy t-shirts and leggings/mat jeans.

jellypi3 · 19/10/2015 13:41

so i didn't have a tonne of fruit for lunch but I did have a tonne of tuna instead!

I've also majorly over eaten, my food today has been:

Cornflakes for breakfast
Jacket potato and tuna
Tuna sandwich
Salad
Salt and vinegar crisps

Blush
TriJo · 19/10/2015 13:53

I've already got 3 pairs of maternity jeans and a few tops. Will get some leggings soon because my jersey dresses will be fine for another while too. That said, I'd very happily just live in my full panel skinny jeans from Gap... stretches out. I had wanted to stay in my normal stuff, but I'm very front-and-centre so the maternity stuff just fits so much better even though I'm only 18 weeks!

I've ordered most stuff online, watching out for sales and promotions. I'm currently wearing a vest top from Debenhams that cost me less than a cup of coffee and has a decent bit of bump room!

Have had a lot more activity over the last couple of days - including a short sharp kick when I tried to lie back down after hitting the snooze button this morning! Too early for the little one to be my guilty conscience!

FeatheredTail · 19/10/2015 14:01

Glad you had a lovely time in Dubrovnik 5hell!

Jelly - good work on the food. That's impressive Grin

My appetite made a return this weekend, so I had something other than white carb - hoorah.

I'm going to plough in with TMI, but I've had a really bad stomach for the last 2-2.5 weeks. It's temperamental at the best of times, but it's been awful recently - arse rain every time. I can't remember when I had a normal poo. It's draining me even more. Did anyone else experience this? Part of me thinks it might be my body reacting to a less-than-exemplary-diet or maybe it's pregnancy hormones? Either way, it's a lot lot worse than usual. Will mention to m/w tomorrow and see if she can share any wisdom.

jellypi3 · 19/10/2015 14:17

feathered I had loads of arse rain too, then it just sort of...firmed up...

gaggiagirl · 19/10/2015 14:21

la I think I'm mostly un fazed by the newborn stage because I've done it before. It was such a shock first time round. This time J has fit in with our lives and routine rather than the other way around. It helps that DP is a total legend too and absolutely does his fair share. Plus first Time round I didn't know the wisdom that is "always offer the breast" took me weeks to work it out with DD.
Any issue is solved by boob in face for my children Grin

FeatheredTail · 19/10/2015 14:22

Some comfort to know I'm not the only one Jelly! Please god, let it firm up soon!

ThursdayLastWeek · 19/10/2015 14:32

Ha ha ga that is why I panic when asked to hold someone else's newborn...with DS, if there was any problem - boob in face.
I'm not sure that's quite the done thing with your next door neighbour's baby???

DH & I had a little chat yesterday about the really brand new stage and apologised in advanced for how shitty we're going to get with each other. I really am a snake when I'm tired, so I've asked him to remember this year, the wedding, the TTC, the honeymoon if he forgets why he married me Grin

jellypi3 · 19/10/2015 14:50

Question: My hands have been swelling up again the past few days. It happened in Spain and I put it down to the heat but it's happened over here now too. I've been feeling a little bit woozy when standing up too.

I've got MW on Friday, should I wait till then to mention it to her and would you worry about telling her. In my head i'm thinking blood pressure issues but every time i've had my BP checked it's been fine. I can't contact her on non-Friday's, it would have to be the hospital if i needed to talk to someone before then.

gaggiagirl · 19/10/2015 15:11

jelly swelling hands is a contact someone today issue. How are your feet and ankles? Any itchiness?

ThursdayLastWeek · 19/10/2015 15:14

No harm in calling for advice jelly do you have a number for the team in general?
My MW mentioned when my BP was on the low side to keep my fluids up, and my hands get swollen when I'm dehydrated too. I'm not suggesting there isn't anything more important than that, but have a couple of big glasses of water and see if that helps?

I just booked my GTT and jabs for December. The receptionist at the docs surprisingly helpful. Luckily the surgery is 5mins from home, so I can come home in between and I have my MW appt. that day anyways.

jellypi3 · 19/10/2015 15:26

Feet and ankles feel ok at the moment, no major itchiness.

I've been drinking water all day, i've had 7 glasses today so far plus plenty of fruit and salad. I'll give the docs a call and ask what they think is best.

Ta ladies :)

jellypi3 · 19/10/2015 16:57

spoke to the community midwife and she said to keep and eye on swelling and if it spreads phone in again :) they were so nice on the phone!

ThursdayLastWeek · 19/10/2015 17:03

Lovely, so she didn't sound too worried at the moment? That's good Smile

I am massively massively tired today

CarrotPuff · 19/10/2015 17:37

Glad you had a nice holiday 5hell. I'm well jel.

Sky I'll join the others in saying your XH is an arse.

fruit you can just see how it goes - with DS I only had 2 pairs of mat jeans and 2 tops. But then I had quite small bump so most of my job mat stretchy stuff fit till the end. This time I've ordered some mat trousers too though, and I do need some more smarter tops.

honey I'm still wearing non mat stuff too.

feathered I had arse rain too at the beginning. It's been replaced by constipation. I'm not sure which one is worse...

CarrotPuff · 19/10/2015 17:38

Non mat that was supposed to say, not job mat...

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 19/10/2015 19:01

Thanks carrot I'm coming around to this idea. I've been really proud of the fact that we have 'kept things friendly' over the last three years but looking back there's been a lot of nonsense from him that I've made excuses for in the name of getting along. I guess it was because I felt so horribly guilty for falling out of love and leaving him, that I felt I could somehow redeem myself by being a model ex-wife... Bonkers, eh?

FeatheredTail · 19/10/2015 21:27

I'll swap you arse rain with the world's most bloated stomach for a bit of constipation right now carrot! Meant to ask - how's the job going? Good first week?

Feel for you Sky. Sounds like you have been too nice for too long because of the guilt. He sounds like he's being a total PITA though - and you're doing this for your girl's health, not to point score. Stand your ground!
