Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 40th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 39th grads fred is HERE.

The thread we have graduated from is HERE in its 55th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread HERE for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

HERE is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

thurs you make me feel so guilty haha! still gonna do fuck all exercise though

I had some pretty crazy dreams last night too. Must be something in the water.

honeysucklejasmine · 30/10/2015 08:44

Good old John Lewis gave me a ring, they'll be here in 40 mins. Lovely!

DH whinged he didn't sleep well last night as he kept waking up. He did have the sense to immediately sympathise with me about it. Good man.

jellypi3 · 30/10/2015 09:32

haha honey i'd be been tempted to LTB if he started complaining!!!

exciting about your cot! Grin

i found out today DP has never seen love actually...........

TriJo · 30/10/2015 09:42

Tempted to do Parkrun tomorrow to see how slow I've gotten at pretty much 20 weeks... someone convince me that this is a good/bad/indifferent idea!

DH is absolutely walking on air this morning after we found out at the scan yesterday that we're having a little boy, it's really funny :)

MollyBloomYes · 30/10/2015 09:53

Ah exercise. I'm having biscuits for breakfast because nobody took any bread or crumpets out of freezer.

Wowzers rdm but growth scans can be hugely inaccurate from mine and friends' experience. Whatever decision you make will be the right one, the important bit is holding baby at the end not how they come out.

ThursdayLastWeek · 30/10/2015 10:06

Parkrun is an excellent idea Tri, even at 20 weeks there will be someone slower than you! I find its my favourite bit of exercise now, because I can go and have a chat with a parkrun friends there too Smile.

There's something reassuring about running amongst people when you're pregnant I think.

Come and see us on the parkrun thread!

I just did a prenatal Pilates DVD that was harder than my intermediate class Shock my hips are on fire! But I did manage to stretch my back out so that's good.

Congrats on your scan to Tri Lots of little boys being brewed in the thread isn't there?

FeatheredTail · 30/10/2015 10:11

Jelly get it ordered off Amazon and save it for December!

pretzelpieces · 30/10/2015 10:36

Also nosy about Pud's dream. I had a another one I was being really evil to my Mum! Poor Mum! I wonder what's playing on my sub-conscious? Probably that I haven't told her I'm preg and won't be until the scan. Eek. She's going to be surprised! I hope she is anyway. That was the whole point of keeping quiet to her about it.

Tri that's very sweet about your DH! I'd rather like a boy too (but only because everyone else in my family has had girls, so I want my share of 'special'). Although I find girl names much much easier. So basically I don't mind.

I am ridiculously excited about December. Have so many nice things planned! Taking my mum to super posh hotel in London for christmas afternoon tea, going to a sing-a-long christmas song concert at the royal albert hall with my best friend and hosting my annual roast ham day for my closest friends. YAY! And now thinking about christmas films to store up - ROLLLLLLL ON DECEMBERRRRRRR!!!!!

Stops

Has anyone heard of - or tried - an alcohol free champagne? This miht through a small spanner in my christmas joy.

KateBeckett · 30/10/2015 12:31

Aw, thank you all (again!) for the reassurance. I'm a right nuisance! I did manage to enjoy it a bit more by the end..

Tri congrats on your little baby boy! How exciting Smile and so sweet that you dp is really excited!
Park run is a brave idea! But I have never and will never enjoy running so prob not the best person to answer...

feathered I'm very excited about December too! Not much of a champagne fan though, but I will be looking for alternatives to mulled cider. Have you told anyone you're preggo yet then? We are telling our mums this weekend, I don't think I'd be able to keep stum until my scan!

honey I'm glad you didn't get up early for no reason! What cot have you gone for?

fruitlovingmonkey · 30/10/2015 12:51

Feathered your December sounds amazing! Especially the sing along concert! I love the festive period. I haven't tried non alcoholic champers but I will look out for some alternatives. At the moment I'm enjoying apple juice mixed with sparkling water as my drink of choice.
Decided yesterday that the best way to get through pregnancy worries is to always have something to look forward to. I have booked a couple of pg spa treatments in November and December and have a couple of days out with friends organised. I'm trying out a countdown app so I can always know how long left until my next treat and also my next pg appointment.

FeatheredTail · 30/10/2015 13:05

I'm not sure what happened with my spelling in my last post. I'll put it down to excitement.

I haven't told anyone Fruit - bar a friend I saw at a wedding last month ("why aren't you drinking?????") and my close GP friend. It's been quite nice just having this is mine and DHs private news, but I am REALLY looking forward to telling people next Thursday, if all is well at the scan.

Nom nom slurp, mulled cider Fruit! Mmm! I'm with you on the small treats to alleviate the worry/time for worrying. I want some pregnancy spa treatments. What are you getting? They do a really good massage at my favourite place in my town - you sort of hug a giant sized bean bag during your massage, so you don't put any pressure on your bump/boobs. Really really want it. Now.

oneyorkshirepud · 30/10/2015 13:52

Ooh that massage sounds lovely Feathered. Next week is a good week for scans with both you and Lil being zapped - anyone else?

Ha ha love that you are all so nosy! Essentially my dream was that my mat leave replacement started for the management part of job and did a survey of all the staff to find out what they didn't like about how I run the department so that she could do it better!! There was basically a form that said 'write down everything you think about how rubbish Pud is'! I hyperventilated in my dream I was so cross! Ridiculous I know.

So we got the pram frame out this morning so I can go car seat shopping today. DH managed to break it (by using his man drill to take the basket off). He then tried to fix it using a wooden spoon. The spoon is now also broken. I cannot comprehend that in a few weeks time professional people are going to allow us to leave hospital with an ACTUAL BABY and no supervision. Dear. God.

In other news, I was reading my natal hypnotherapy book last night and it suggested that in early labour you should have a stiff drink (of whiskey) and then go to bed. At first I was all 'gasp, shocked and appalled face' but the book when on to say that lots of women have a huge dose of opiates given to them during birth and thus is completely medically acceptable so why not have a drink. GENIUS. I am definitely writing gin & tonic on my birth plan under pain relief preferences. Grin

Had coffee with Lemon/French this morning which was fab and I'm now indulging in my guilty pleasure which is Maccy D's lunch. Mmmmm.

honeysucklejasmine · 30/10/2015 14:23

Hang on, hang on! There was a JS meet up?! Does this mean you two are now LemonPud?!?! Well jel. Pud are you not actually in Yorkshire then?

oneyorkshirepud · 30/10/2015 16:29

No sadly not in Yorkshire. I have been exiled to the south and am considered a traitor amongst my people.

honeysucklejasmine · 30/10/2015 16:37

And a foreigner to the rest of us. Wink

5hell · 30/10/2015 16:38

eugh help me out of this funk viroids, I dont want it to ruin my whole weeeknd!...work is busy, boring and annoying (and i have looming deadlines and little enthusiasm); I feel in pregnancy limbo; DH annoyed me last night and has been out late twice this week, and I dont have much fun planned for the weekend Haloween Sad ...i know this is feeble and moany but I cant help it. please inspire me with your fun weekend plans.

congrats tri - I say go run, especially if it's a nice day tomorrow

jellypi3 · 30/10/2015 16:40

Oh pud your husbands folly with the pram made me lol!!! that's hilarious (i've not let my DP near the pram yet for this very reason).

Oo are you the first JS'er meet up, or do I remember la meeting up with someone?

JustMeAndHim · 30/10/2015 16:57

One my scan is next week too, on Tuesday. Your story about your DH fixing your pram with a wooden spoon made me howl, I feel for you my DH is exactly the same!!

5hell sorry you're in a funk, I can't inspire I'm afraid as i have zero plans.

Congrats on the news Tri you must be so excited! Good on you for the park run, I was hoping to keep up my running but I've been so rough it's completely gone out the window

TriJo · 30/10/2015 17:05

Just had a meeting with HR to sort out maternity leave - went pretty well. Looking at finishing up at the end of February at 36+5, burning three weeks of annual leave and officially starting my leave when I'm 40+1 if I haven't popped by then. Won't be heading into unpaid territory though.

oneyorkshirepud · 30/10/2015 17:30

To be fair DH is normally very DIY savvy. He has relays capes the while garden himself this summer, concrete slabs, oak retaining walls (ooh!) Etc. Looks amazing. But the pram foiled him. I feel as though this may be a premonition for parent hood!

5hell, weekend plans include finishing some sewing projects and making the Christmas cake and sleeping

Ooh Yey for scans Just

Jelly I think other JSers haven't up but I'm not sure who!

oneyorkshirepud · 30/10/2015 17:31

Relandscaped the whole garden that should say. Apologies. Mega tired.

JustMeAndHim · 30/10/2015 17:34

Ooh that is good One! I'm sure he will be fine once he gets the hang of the pram Wink

ThursdayLastWeek · 30/10/2015 18:21

Oh pud I hope you didn't but one of those prohibitively expensive pushchairs that's now ruined Wink

5hell anything in particular bringing you down? Or just a general funk? Plan something you like to do on your own maybe, so you do t feel so reliant on DH for fun?
