Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 40th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 39th grads fred is HERE.

The thread we have graduated from is HERE in its 55th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread HERE for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

HERE is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

Welcome kate. Another primary school teacher here, I didn't tell work until after my 12 wk scan but didn't really have any symptoms other than the tiredness.

Congrats on all the lovely scans. I've got a 38 wk scan on Thursday due to baby being so ginormous. After being told baby was weighing 8lbs at 36 wks they told me 11lbs was the cut off point then they would want to do a c-section. 11lbs!?!?

Ginormobaby is currently wedged both in my ribs and my crotch!?

KateBeckett · 28/10/2015 04:07

Yay, glad baby behaved itself at the scan Thursday Halloween Smile

rdm thanks! I think I might have to tell them a bit earlier if the morning sickness carries on the way it has been doing... I just almost vommed typing the words!! Haven't actually been sick so far tho... Fingers crossed! 11lbs?! That's practically a stone! Erm... I mean... 11lbs? You'll be fiiiiiine!

Has anyone has to have a local anaesthetic while pregnant?! Yesterday and today I've had wicked toothache Sad and I think I might need a root canal, but I'm still really early on so I don't know if I want to risk it!

4 weeks today! Apparently my body thinks 4am is a perfect time to be awake...

oneyorkshirepud · 28/10/2015 06:56

rdm, 11lb?! Sheesh, hope you've been at the epi-no! It will be lovely to see baby on a scan so soon before meeting them.

Ah Kate, welcome to the world of pregnancy insomnia Grin it may well get better after the first few weeks for a bit, until you get massive later on!

CarrotPuff · 28/10/2015 07:30

I've had a filling with LA when pg. They are completely safe in pregnancy AFAIK. you can even have X-ray although personally I'd wait for 2nd tri for that.

ThursdayLastWeek · 28/10/2015 07:30

Thank you everyone, it was a lovely experience all round.

rdm I've never ever heard of a growth scan that's been right, so fingers crossed your ginorma-baby isn't quiye as ginormous as predicted. Good luck for the scan.

I'm not a sufferer of early preggo insomnia - I'm the worlds best sleeper and DH marvels at my ability to nap and sleep through DS waking up sometimes. That'll change in the later stages as I get more uncomfortable I'm sure.

Sorry I can't remember who asked (pud?) but yes I'm having an elcs, all signed off and booked in for March Smile. I'm fucking delighted!

ThursdayLastWeek · 28/10/2015 07:33

Oh yes, my dentist didn't give me and X-Ray or a filling when pregnant, but they weren't causing me any pain so perhaps it's like most things on pregnancy. Not actually harmful but they prefer not to push it?

FeatheredTail · 28/10/2015 07:50

Congrats Thursday, lovely news!

Kate I had a root canal when I was five weeks pregnant with my first pregnancy - two local anaesthetics, xray, drilling, - the whole bit. Took two, two hour sessions. I was in considerable pain, so felt I had to get it done. That said, I don't think I'd do it again in the first trimester. I miscarried at 8 weeks and the scan showed the baby hadn't developed past 5 weeks. Probably had nothing to do with the dental work - but it will always play in the back of my mind that it might have been.

Ask your GP or midwife perhaps? Such a difficult decision - there is NO pain like tooth ache (erm....although I've head child birth is pretty bad Wink)

KateBeckett · 28/10/2015 09:28

It's not too bad this week Thursday and Pud cause I'm on half term, so I can nap whenever I feel like it and I'm not in charge of 30 6/7 year olds! I think it might do me in when I get back to school though... Halloween Confused

Tooth doesn't seem to be hurting at the moment... I might see how I go and see if I can make it to my first midwife appointment, then I will be further along and I can can ask their opinion.

jellypi3 · 28/10/2015 09:49

Morning all.

Trains are a nightmare today and someone barged into me trying to get on the train before me, lovely people Hmm

Also got period like pains, not strong just a little sore. Assume it's all normal?

FeatheredTail · 28/10/2015 10:32

Callous bastards Jelly - seriously, it REALLY infuriates me how rude commuters can be. Last week I saw someone barge in front of a guy in a wheel chair to get on the train - despite the fact a ramp had been set up for him. TWATS.

Hope you got a seat.

Can't advise on period type pains I'm afraid. I'm still in slightly stretchy womble phase.

FeatheredTail · 28/10/2015 10:32

11 weeks today!
11 weeks today!
I've got the key!
To the door!
Never been 11 weeks preggo before!

Ahem

KateBeckett · 28/10/2015 10:51

Halloween Grin yay feathered !

oneyorkshirepud · 28/10/2015 11:42

Hee hee Yey Feathered!

Jelly I have had cramping on and off throughout. If it gets bad/is coming in regular waves then call the MW.

jellypi3 · 28/10/2015 11:47

yay for 11 weeks feathered!!! :) when's your scan?

Yeah i did get a seat, i was just shocked how rude it was. People were literally barging women with children out of the way to get on the train. Astounding! I can't wait to stop commuting in 2 months!

Also, 36 working days left until Mat Leave Grin

jellypi3 · 28/10/2015 11:47

Cheers pud, i've had cramping but this was like proper stabby period pains, it's gone now so maybe it was just me getting a bit stresed at rude people on the train!!

FeatheredTail · 28/10/2015 12:16

Scan is next Thursday Jelly - I'm wishing time away until then.

Beyond jealous of your 36 working days left.

pretzelpieces · 28/10/2015 12:45

Ugh jelly why are people so shit?! I've had people barge me in the street and pushing in getting on the bus. Makes me so angry and just depressed at the state of people tbh.

Yay feathered! Hope the time until your scan passes quickly, I know it's a slooowww stage to be at. I felt like the time dragged so badly, is not quite so bad now would still like it to be my due date already thanks

Hurray feathered! Lovely milestone!

jelly people are shit. I'm very glad I've never had to train commute it sounds like a living hell Flowers I'll take traffic jams any day!

I've been searching around for a new hobby once baby's out of newborn bit and able to be left for an evening. Used to do a lot of acting but the time commitment is too much. So I've alighted on roller derby. I've never skated, have dreadful balance, am completely unsporty and out of shape and haven't even seen a game Hmm. I'm an idiot

KateBeckett · 28/10/2015 13:35

molly as long as you don't mind being covered in bruises you'll be fine! Although maybe an easy target as I think the aim of the game is to knock each other over?!

FeatheredTail · 28/10/2015 14:12

Thanks viroids Grin

Molly - roller derby sounds awesome! I used to love roller skating! And when that became uncool, I loved rollerblading! I bet it will be really fun. Get yourself some knee and elbow pads!

Having new windows fitting today, tomorrow and Friday. One of the window fitters has just had a poo in my (only) toilet. I think I'm going to cry. They've also had 10 cups of tea between them. I wish they'd just piss off.

jellypi3 · 28/10/2015 14:13

roller derby sounds amazing, i'd love to give it a go!

I'm deffo going back to playing football once bubba is settled

TriJo · 28/10/2015 14:16

Anyone I know who is involved in roller derby is absolutely mad about it. Worth a try afterwards if you know of a team starting up a Fresh Meat session! My DH is absolutely convinced I should play rugby, for some reason... early 30s seems way too late in life to pick that up.

I ended up getting Swim Rage yesterday. Someone needs to remind people that the mere ability to avoid drowning does not move one up out of the slow lane, and if you're being lapped every 4 lengths in a 30m pool by a pregnant woman you might be in the wrong place. Cannot bloody wait for my tri club's next round of sessions to start up in November.

fruitlovingmonkey · 28/10/2015 14:29

LOVE the idea of roller derby Molly! Will they teach you how to skate or will you have to learn before you go? I have roller skates and I just about got the hang of them at the end of last year before my first bfp. Wondering if I can remember how to do it if I'll be able to skate with a pram!
Trijo rugby = lots of bruises!

MollyBloomYes · 28/10/2015 14:51

I have absolutely no idea if they'll teach me or not but it's the four wheeled roller skates rather than blades which I think gives me a fighting chance of staying upright! Anyway, I've established there's a team in my town so I'll make enquiries once I'm not massively pregnant. Not like I can do a trial session right now! DH pissed himself just now when I suggested it. He is SO supportive Grin

ThursdayLastWeek · 28/10/2015 14:57

I know a couple of people who love roller derby Molly and I think it looks crazy fun too.

Yay for your 11 weeks Feathered, it'll be Thursday before you know it Thanks
