So sorry rifka xx

GuessHowMuchILoveGin · 26/10/2015 10:02

I'm sorry to hear your news, Rifka. Sometimes the world just seems so unfair.X

laughingGnomette · 26/10/2015 10:14

snowflake all the best for today! X

weepants - I know exactly how you feel! I didn't find out until 8wks with DS (happy accident, I was on the pill) and even then I was more worried about how I'd cope with a baby rather than mc-ing. Completely different this time around. I keep telling myself worrying doesn't help anything, but it's hard!

Feeling lousy today. Sick and tired, can't be bothered with work and DS is waking early due to the clock change. Bleugh.

Snowflake16 · 26/10/2015 10:27

Thanks for all your support everybody, just a few hours to wait.

rifka so sorry to hear your news.

MiraclesDoHappen82 · 26/10/2015 10:55

Good luck snowflake

Rose2806 · 26/10/2015 12:12

Thinking of you Rifka Thanks

Rose2806 · 26/10/2015 12:16

What kind of snacks have you guys found keeps the nausea at bay? I haven't actually been sick but need to eat something every 1-2 hours at the moment. Have tried ginger biscuits which help a bit but I feel a bit yuck if I eat to many of them as well. Ideally need to find something relatively healthy!

cautiousoptimist1 · 26/10/2015 12:26

Urgh I'm suddenly feeling nauseous today. I'm not very good with sickness so I hope it goes away as quickly as it came.

I'm feeling like I could burst into tears today too which is really not me. I think work stuff is getting on top of me and at the same time as my normal work, I'm starting to think about how my stuff should get covered next year. Rationally I know it's too early to think about it but when I tell my boss I'd like to have a plan and I think I'm going to have to fly to see my boss which is annoying but I guess better than telling him over the phone.

mrslewis2015 · 26/10/2015 12:33

I'm so sorry to hear your news rifka my thoughts are with you and your OH. Thanks

Lovelybeano · 26/10/2015 12:38

rose I have a thing for crisps at the moment, I don't usually touch them (I'm normally fairly healthy and normally I'd pick choc over crisps for a treat) but they aren't going to do my waistline any good! I'm going shopping after body combat class tonight and was thinking of getting a couple of the preprepared fruit pots so I can just dip in whenever I feel like it rather than starting to eat an apple and realising I can't finish it :) also grabbing some salt & vinegar snack a jacks to try and stop the crisp thing xx

edwardcullensotherwoman · 26/10/2015 12:47

Afternoon all Smile
It's been that long since I posted I can't find my post! Hope everyone's doing ok.
Anyone been for scans yet?i have an early one weds, keep going from excited to scared about it Confused

Torfhinn · 26/10/2015 13:08

I'm so sorry for your loss rifka. Take care of yourself Flowers

rose i have found jacobs krackawheat really good for that hunger/nausea,and they are not so unhealthy as crisps.

Thinking of you for your scan snowflake

I had breakfast, drove a hour commute, saw a bakery, bought a large sausage roll, ate it in 5 minutes flat, was hungry an hour later Shock

Torfhinn · 26/10/2015 13:10

And i don't like sausage rolls!

HarleyQuinn90 · 26/10/2015 13:18

I had a pot noodle at 10am for breakfast Blush it's the only thing I fancied, I've discovered the only time I don't feel nauseous is while I'm eating and for a few minutes after so I'm either going to have to deal with feeling sick all the while or be the size of a house Grin

HarleyQuinn90 · 26/10/2015 13:19

Torfhinn, I've started eating tomatoes, the one thing I've never liked in my life Shock

GuessHowMuchILoveGin · 26/10/2015 13:25

Another one with a crisp obsession here. Really random flavours like Roast Chicken. Admittedly not the health snack you were after. I am also craving meat... Just had a sausage sandwich for lunch which was amazing.

mrsmugoo · 26/10/2015 13:27

At the moment I'm craving salty carbs (ritz crackers and Pom bears!!), totally tasteless things ( cucumber) and meat, even though I don't eat it!

I've gained 4lb as well from my constant carby grazing but if I get hungry I get queasy :(

MrsSparkles · 26/10/2015 13:43

So sorry rifka, take care of yourself Flowers

Not feeling sick this morning for the first time in about a week - have lost about 1/2 stone over the last week as just not fancying eating at all.
However I think this is due to the fact I've picked up DD's horrid cold, for which they advise lots of rest (not going to happen during half term), so will struggle on.

I also have a crisp obsession , and banana milk strangely enough, need to stop and buy more on the way home!

Lovelybeano · 26/10/2015 14:19

I also have the meat craving, I wonder whether we're craving iron and salt? I'm going to pop krackwheat on the shopping list thanks torfinn I never thought of them xx

Lovelybeano · 26/10/2015 14:20

Thinking of you snowflake xx

bikingintherain · 26/10/2015 14:48

So sorry and sad for you rifka, much love to you and dh.

bikingintherain · 26/10/2015 14:50

I've been wanting salt in the form of crisps. I tried ritz biscuits but bizarrely I found them too fatty. Yet I still want crisps. Hmm

PrincessPunzie · 26/10/2015 14:56

Interesting to hear about everyone's cravings. Like MrsSparkles I have a cold at the moment (one way to vanish your pg symptoms! Apart from the snotting and sneezing I have no idea what's illness and what's baby-related!) but it's making me crave comfort foods a bit. I'm a very careful eater so that's sort of panicking me - that along with not being able to exercise just now is making me wonder whether pregnancy weight gain will be an issue for me. I have a history of disordered eating which I carefully control by eating the same thing every day, but pregnancy could be about to mess that up big time! I have actually started to worry about how much weight I'll gain and how long it will take me to lose it afterwards. I know it's because I have disordered thinking when it comes to my own body image, rather than because I'm shallow, but I do wish my stupid brain could give me a rest and focus on more important things! Still, hoping I'll feel happier when the cold has gone and exercise is back on the cards.

I hope your scan goes/went well snowflake

YouAndMeAreGoingToFallOut · 26/10/2015 15:43

Anyone else got loads of heartburn? It's a bit too early for morning sickness for me, so sore boobs and heartburn seem to be my only symptoms! That and all the crying.

Snowflake16 · 26/10/2015 16:06

Just to update you all, I've had my scan and everything seems fine. Couldn't get a clear picture but we could see the heart beating and snowflake was moving around. Baby is also measuring correct EDD 30/5/16 It's such a huge relief, I'm now going to enjoy my symptom free pregnancy while it lasts.

Thanks to all you lovely ladies for your support. Flowers
