Definitely don't buy too much we over brought for my son through excitement at him being our first then when my daughter was on the way we went pink crazy! Between what we got and the many gifts from people we ended up with far too much especially clothes. Im determined not to do that this time. I will be 6 weeks tomorrow and still no ms, I started at 6 weeks last time. Sad I know but I'm wiling it to start so I can feel as though I'm moving forward xx

tigress23 · 23/10/2015 08:51

Oh I forgot to mention I'm taking extra folic acid (due to IBD), vitamin D and calcium in addition to the Boots pregnancy ones. I take a lot of vitamins anyway, so it's nothing new to me.

We haven't bought anything yet, as we have no room (will move in the spring, hopefully) and also because we've been offered loads of things from friends we told we were TTC. I figure we'll buy things after seeing what we get given

laughingGnomette · 23/10/2015 08:57

I am tempted by the Chicco Next to me cot or something similar. I really needed something like that with DS but there was only one on the market at the time which was ££££!

We've kept kept most of DS's baby things so we won't have too much.

laughingGnomette · 23/10/2015 09:02

*wont have to buy too much

JellyBaby26 · 23/10/2015 09:12

We call it the extension.

It's so handy , once she finally falls asleep after waking or a feed I can just slide her in.

Will be v handy for bf babies.

I'm already wanting another pack of bacon!

emma cm is normal - I've not had much but remember lots last time - I've def been super lightheaded, it sounds ridiculously Victorian doesn't it "oh I'm so dizzy" but make sure you have a sit down and get up from sitting/lying nice and slowly!! Xx

JellyBaby26 · 23/10/2015 09:14

Yes and Emma I had a lot of cm last week and dizziness. Unfortunately although you get no af in the 9 months you do often get a lot of visits from her white sister!

And also...there is no such thing as tmi on mumsnet I don't think!

How long do you think it's safe until we should make a Facebook group ? Until the back of the bus is full and we have June 30th edd's?

I haven't bought anything yet, but occasionally I do sneak off and look at baby clothes while I'm out shopping! We'll be going to a family wedding when baby is two months old and I can't help myself looking at tiny dresses and those little babygrows that have smart shirt collars on them!

My sense of smell has gone a bit odd. Last night my husband was wetting himself laughing at me because I told him all our pillows smelled bad (he couldn't smell anything!) After getting up in the night to go to the loo I decided it was my hands that smelled - right after washing them - so now I am bleaching the tap as I'm determined that the water coming out if it smells weird. Husband now thinks I am insane.

Also I have gone off peas and broad beans, which is sad because I normally eat both every day, but the thought of them is making me feel odd. Why?! They're not strong-smelling or bad for the baby! What a stupid food aversion.

I am definitely lightheaded for at least a few hours a day - sometimes morning, sometimes afternoon, sometimes evening. But definitely not suffering in the way that some of you poor ladies are.

Ooh, a Facebook group would be good! I'm hopeless at following the thread on here - I get people mixed up and it stops me posting as often as I'd like. FB is much more familiar to me and I think I'd do better in a group Smile

iamdivergent · 23/10/2015 10:08

Ooh yes I'd love a Facebook group too! Smile I had some porridge for breakfast and I can feel it just sat there. And my there top smells really weird today as well, it's really annoying me haha.

Belvedere · 23/10/2015 10:11

I've already got my eye on a chicconext2me jelly! Have a Moses basket still but found it hard after my CS (which I hope to have again)

Feeling really crampy today. This is normal right?

kezod · 23/10/2015 10:33

Obssessed I've just been for an early scan too (6+3) and they said they could see the sac and maybe something inside it but not heartbeat. She moved me back to 5+4 and told me to come back in 2 weeks! I was feeling really positive about all of this and now I'm in limbo! eek, this pregnancy malarkey is just test after test!
Hope everyone is having a good Friday. I had started to feel a bit nauseous and off my food the last couple of days, and now its disappeared after my appointment lol. Psycho-somatic or what!

MiraclesDoHappen82 · 23/10/2015 10:39

Hi everyone, can I join. Just got my BFP this morning after first time IVF. Edd 29th June. I'm so excited, shocked and overwhelmed all at once. Can't quite believe our luck, first positive pregnancy test ever. Smile

iamdivergent · 23/10/2015 10:52

Belvedere yeah I've had cramps off and on for about 10 days, totally normal to just your womb expanding apparently.

Miracles welcome Smile

JellyBaby26 · 23/10/2015 11:18

Welcome miracles! How fantastic :) I love a BFP!

YouAndMeAreGoingToFallOut · 23/10/2015 11:23

Hi Ladies, mind if I join in?

I'm 4 weeks today - due at the end of June. I got my BFP on Monday. This is my first pregnancy.

It's all very nerve-wracking as it's still so early. As far as I can tell where I live you are meant to just phone the midwives directly to refer yourself and not bother going to the GP, so I guess I will do that on Monday.

On the subject of vitamins: I've been taking the Sevens Seas Trying for a Baby vitamins. I still have a whole packet left - can I carry on taking them for another month or should I switch to pregnancy ones now? They have folic acid and vitamin d in them.

mrsmugoo · 23/10/2015 11:30

Congratulations and welcome miracles & youandme!

Wow we are almost full, due dates right to the end of the month now wooop!

Wonder when the July group will start?!

Lovelybeano · 23/10/2015 11:49

Oh my goodness I am an emotional wreck today, I've just randomly started crying to one of school mums I feel like a proper plonker Blush oh well they'll soon forgive me in December when they find out I'm pregnant lol

MiraclesDoHappen82 · 23/10/2015 11:51

Oh and for my stats I'm 33 live in cheshire. This is my first baby. And first scan (7 weeks) because it's through IVF is booked for 17/11/15. Thank you for the welcomes.

mrsmugoo · 23/10/2015 11:58

Today I'm craving meat so badly (I'm pescatarian!)
Can't stop thinking about sticky ribs!

laughingGnomette · 23/10/2015 12:02

Aww huge congratulations miracles!!!

kezod - sending virtual hugs. It is perfectly normal not to see much at six weeks in a healthy pregnancy though xx

I've gone off sweet things, can't get enough of crisps. I feel sick and ravenous in equal measures.

Hmmm I might hold off from joining a FB group until the 12 week scan... it seems so far away though so I'll probably crack!

laughingGnomette · 23/10/2015 12:05

Step away from the ribs mugoo!! Halloween Wink

iamdivergent · 23/10/2015 12:17

I have so much saliva today! I feel like a drooling dog Blush

mrsmugoo · 23/10/2015 12:32

Yes to too much saliva - it's gross isn't it?!

obsessedlex · 23/10/2015 12:33

Well I'm back from my scan with v good news - saw the little heartbeat all looking good and they say 6 weeks today. The fact that I got a v strong positive all be it on an FRER on 1st October is bizarre!!
Anyway -I have promised MrObsessed that I'll step away from google now and stop obsessing! (I'll be back on here to chat to you lot though. Grin)
Thanks for all your support xxx

obsessedlex · 23/10/2015 12:35

Oh kezod I totally know how you feel the wait is horrible - big hugs if it's any consolation they only saw the gestational sac 10 days ago and today saw bubba and a heartbeat - try to keep positive and remember that you really only find the horror stories on Google - big hugs xx
