Hi Ladies,

May I join your club? I'm currently 6 weeks with baby number 1, EDD is 12th June. I'm pretty nervous about anything going wrong but feeling fine so far. I've had some twinges in the last week or so but they've gone now and no sickness so far.

I have my booking in appointment with the midwife on 2nd November which will soon come around. We haven't told anyone yet - I'm even a bit nervous about telling people when the time comes!

Positive vibes to those of you in limbo and waiting for news, and huge hugs and thoughts with those that have losses.

BiffleRoo · 18/10/2015 16:31

I spoke too soon. The sickness has hit me like a sledgehammer. Off my food, just want to curl up in a ball and veg.

Torfhinn · 18/10/2015 17:19

Hi all, welcome to everyone new!

Congratulations on the scan and heartbeat potkettle, so pleased for you!

How you are okay derbygirl, thinking of you Flowers

Mega fatigue, nausea and food aversions here, been working these past couple of days and it's been so hard. Only managing to eat carbs and dairy. .. i think I'd starve without jacobs krackawheat! Glad you are feeling better snowflake - can you send a little of that magic my way?! Grin

7 weeks tomorrow and i look like I've eaten all the pies. Good job my work uniform is forgiving!

tigress23 · 18/10/2015 17:20

At least it's a good sign, BiffleRoo! I'm sorry you feel so rough, though

BiffleRoo · 18/10/2015 17:31

That's what I keep telling myself tigress! Lol

Stripes1983 · 18/10/2015 17:38

No sickness here & hoping it stays that way! Just feeling shattered all the time , sleeping about 9-10 hrs a night and still feel worn out by 3pm! Boobs are still ridiculously sore too, did another CB HPT in the week just to check - seems like a lifetime until my booking appt in 3 wks! What's the wait time normally like for your 12wk scan once you have had 1st midwife appt?

Phwoggy · 18/10/2015 18:46

I've had a little bit of nausea but nothing major, biggest thing atm is my nipples are killing me! I'm off my food during the day but eat tonnes at night. I've felt faint a couple of times too but it's passed quickly.

Thanks for all those that are having a worrying time

MrsSparkles · 18/10/2015 19:16

Sympathy biffle. I spent most of the day doing just that, I had no sickness first time round so assumed it would be the same again, but I feel horrendous. Early night tonight I think!

becky140290 · 18/10/2015 19:35

Hi I'm becky and had my BFP today :) I think I'm due around 19th June. I currently have a 10 month old son! Slightly worried that last time I had hyperemises. Really hoping it doesn't come back! 5 weeks preg today :)

justexpecting · 18/10/2015 20:57

Hi ladies, I just found out I am 2-3 weeks pregnant this week. Me and my DH decided to start TTC and I started charting my temps etc, and at 32 I know I am super lucky to have fallen pregnant the first month of TTC (I must have timed it right!). I am excited but a little nervous if it's too soon, and totally don't know what to expect. I'm a worrier naturally so that won't help the process but excited as well. On the due date calculator it says 21 June 2016. Great to meet others in similar situation and get lots of advice and stories :)

Mrspopper · 18/10/2015 21:05

Torfhinn I have also eaten all the pies. Feel massive. Thinking of cracking out the maternity jeans... At 7 weeks?!

mrsmugoo · 18/10/2015 21:19

I'm so anxious about putting on weight but I'm ravenous all the time and I'm craving carbs big time. My usual lowish carb, high protein diet is not cutting it!

vitalite · 18/10/2015 21:44

Crikey! Note to self- check thread more often Smile just taken me about an hour to catch up on everyone's updates.

Loki- so sorry to hear ur news. Hope u get onto the July or August bus instead.

Derby girl - I think u need to press ur gp to get into the EPU and see if they can confirm things one way or t'other. Fingers crossed everythings ok!

Rose- I previously had an ectopic (several years ago now). I had gone to EPU thinking I was miscarrying but hcg tests showed slow growth which indicated ectopic. No loss of tube and went on to have a healthy pregnancy the next year. Although it sounds like urs isn't an ectopic so fingers crossed everythings OK otherwise.

My cramps and browny discharge have disappeared (yay) but nausea is starting to kick in at random intervals Sad. Phoning EPU tmo morn to see if I can get an early scan based on previous ectopic.

Absolutely bursting to share the news with rl friends and family and everybody (have told grannies tho Smile).

Night ladies X

JellyBaby26 · 18/10/2015 22:04

Becky we will both have 2 under 2! Yikes!

So. Tired.

Up for hours in the night again, just worrying over nothing. I'm usually a great sleeper so this is distressing me.

All I want is to crawl back into bed but I've got to get big one to school and keep small one occupied all day.

I recently volunteered to join a nationwide charity (think parenting support stuff) and sit on their council (keeping my CV up-to-date being a big plus!). The first meeting is tonight at 7.30 and I'm already dreading the inevitable exhaustion. I was so excited about it too!

How is everyone today?

Lovelybeano · 19/10/2015 06:44

Morning ladies, jumped on the scales this morning and I've lost 2lb 3/4 , not because of sickness but I just can't finish my meals even when I fancy them, has anyone got any suggestions for healthy snacks I can have in between cos I think I'm going to have to eat little and often, it can't be good for my little body invader losing that much in a week surely ? Sad

Lovelybeano · 19/10/2015 06:45

Welcome to all the newbies xx

jellybelly85 · 19/10/2015 06:51

lovelybeano I've had a similar weight loss this past week. Many lose weight due to vomiting too. I think it's ok in the first trimester - as long as we are eating regularly and a balanced nutritious diet as far as possible.

Lovelybeano · 19/10/2015 07:15

Thanks jellybaby I was really worried when I jumped on the scales!! I'm going shopping today so I'm going to pick up some ryvitas and some naked bars to see if I can add that to my fruit snacking, it's really strange though because I look so bloated and my trousers are uncomfortable.

becky140290 · 19/10/2015 07:27

Eek jellybaby! I'm equally excited and terrified haha

AmIseeingRight · 19/10/2015 07:30

Morning ladies
I've woken up in the middle of the night convinced something is wrong and then this morning the one symptom my sore/tender breasts, that was constant seem to have disappeared.

Also I had no neusea yesterday, thought it was because I started drinking sparking water which seemed to help, so was pleased but now with my breasts feeling normal & completely fine (even my nipples) and even when I touch they feel normal. Just feeling so scared as I've read loss of symptoms is not a good sign and I'm 7wk 4 today so it's too early for everything to just stop. Haven't been able to go back to sleep since 6am after waking up between 3 & 3:30. I'm so worried, I haven't had any cramps or bleeding but still very scared. Sad

carrie1008 · 19/10/2015 07:30

Morning everyone, still no sickness her yet although I had some hits of nausea yesterday. I've got auditors in all this week so I'm hoping they'll leave me alone every so often so I can get myself together! I cracked and booked a private scan for 7wks yesterday. First job today is booking a GP appt so I can see if I'll be referred early to epu...I've had 2 consecutive mc and a bi-cornate uterus so I'm on edge the whole time!

nehagarg · 19/10/2015 07:46

Sorry you are so worried AmISeeingRight. Can you walk in to your EPU for a scan to make sure everything is all right? My symptoms come and go all the time and I was convinced it wont be good news when I had my scan because I had no symptoms that day but then saw a heartbeat. I'd say get a scan if you can to put your mind at ease.

jbiscuits · 19/10/2015 07:53

Morning everyone, and welcome to all the new people!

DH let me have a couple of naps this weekend whilst he has DS, so feeling slightly more rested for the week ahead.

amiseeingright try not to panic, symptoms can come and go a bit. I convinced myself last night that something must be wrong because I wasn't feeling as sick, only to feel horrendous again an hour later.

Someone asked earlier about the downs syndrome screening. We didn't have it with DS and won't this time either (although judging by the midwife's reaction this is quite unusual). I think if it could give a definite yes or no I might so I could research and prepare before the baby arrives, but as it just gives a risk factor we decided not to have it.

jellybaby I'll also have 2 under 2, but only just.

tigress23 · 19/10/2015 08:20

AmISeeingRight, I feel the same way you do and am about as far along. I had a meltdown about it at the weekend and bawled my eyes out for hours. Going to the GP today to see if he will send me for a scan or even just do a blood test to put my mind at ease. Failing this, we've tentatively booked a private scan for Thursday. I hope I might be able to cancel it.

Can you go see your GP or call your EPU?
