Anyone able to tell me how I'd get added to the FB group too??

ValancyJane · 26/08/2015 13:01

Wynsey I've barely got anything really, we have three outfits, two packs of baby socks, a pack of baby vests, a pack of bibs, a pack of wet wipes, a baby monitor and a toy toucan that clips onto the pram (though we have no pram yet!). (And most of the clothes were bought by MIL and my Mum got the baby monitor). As long as we're sorted by around 30 weeks I think it'll be fine!

miss My sleeping is awful, I wake up at least once a night to use the loo (sometimes three times). That said, last night I slept for eleven and a half hours (though did wake up for the loo), bit concerned I'm going back to my tiredness from the first trimester!

kep It's hard with your body changing isn't it, I've put on a stone and am really struggling with it. I think I'm going to stay away from the scales now!

impatientlywaiting · 26/08/2015 13:24

Yokyil go the stats page, at the bottom it has the name of the person to add as a friend on facebook so that they can add you to the group.

AlohaMama · 26/08/2015 14:01

Had only just discovered mn was back up, I hadn't abandoned you. Exhausted right now as DD has decided afternoon naps are for wimps. But I NEED them. I fall asleep singing to her, she seems about to drop off then suddenly perks up. I even took her to indoor bouncy castle thing this morning so she should be knackered.

Scn yesterday went well. We are BLUE. Might help to even up the numbers on here! Also means I can now get on with choosing names and sorting clothes. Don't think we've much to buy, even though we had got rid of all our baby stuff, friends so are done having kids have given us stuff, and we bought the snuz pod the other week. So really just need a few bottles, odd clothes bits, possibly sleeping bag. Oh yes, and a car.

tinyme135 · 26/08/2015 14:55

I've got the pram/pushchair, car seat, bibs, jumpers, baby grows, sleeping bags, might have a cot but if I have my way we will get this lovely blue one from babies r us and I think that's it for now. I'll find exactly what I've got when I go to see my nan tonight. she's looking after it all.

tinyme135 · 26/08/2015 14:56

Oh and glad the scan went great and got another team blue :)

dinosaurdaughter · 26/08/2015 15:21

Hi I'm still here too, when it lets me log in.

Tiny glad work is a bit better for you today and congratulations on team blue Aloha.

We haven't bought anything for this baby and probably won't apart from a new moses basket mattress as we already have quite a bit from last time. If it's a boy it might end up in a bit of pink to begin with!

Just found out that our builder is running behind on his latest project so our extension is being pushed back until Jan 16. Argh new baby and building work what fun!

20 week scan tomorrow so getting both excited and nervous.

20+1

tinyme135 · 26/08/2015 15:50

good luck with your scan tomorrow :)

I feel so guilty that I've been on here most of today and done hardly any work Confused oh well after the day I had yesterday sod them haha.

quick question when are you all planning on going on ML cause my OH thinks leaving it till 24th December (just over two weeks before LO is due is too close)

lilyb84 · 26/08/2015 16:06

tiny I'm planning on working as close to my due date as possible - due 22nd Jan so will probably start ML on 18th (unless baby has better ideas) Smile

I may change my mind after Christmas if work's a real struggle though...

ValancyJane · 26/08/2015 16:11

tiny My last working day will be 18th December, but my first official day of ML will be 4th January so I get paid for the Christmas holidays (I work in a school). Due date is Jan 22nd, so I'm planning on a nice five weeks with my feet up before the birth, unless the baby has other plans!

MissSMartin · 26/08/2015 16:23

Tiny I'm finishing on the 23rd December at 36 weeks.. I'm due 22nd Jan, then taking 12 months off Smile

tinyme135 · 26/08/2015 16:34

so do you think I'm being stupid by working that far gone? I would have took holiday then but cause I've used it all I can't.

dinosaurdaughter · 26/08/2015 16:45

No you are not being silly working that late if you are feeling ok in yourself. I worked until 38 weeks first time no problem DD was two weeks late so ended up having a whole month off anyway and the waiting drove me crazy.

This time I'm finishing at 36 weeks only because it is Christmas and I have loads of leave to take before starting my official Mat leave in Jan.

Nightfall1983 · 26/08/2015 16:53

I worked till 39+6 with DS - he was born at 41+5 and I've never regretted it

MissSMartin · 26/08/2015 17:48

I don't think I would finish so early if It wasn't for Christmas.. but it's my favourite time of the year and I just love spending time with my family and eating food Grin I've got 5.5 weeks holiday left to take before I finish so really I should take it all at once and finish at 30.5 weeks but I've spread it out over the next 3.5 months Smile starting sat!

I don't think your silly atall.. do whatever you feel best doing Grin

AlohaMama · 26/08/2015 17:54

I worked till 38 wk with DS, left work in morning and went into labour in afternoon. With DD I was on day 1 of maternity leave and went into labour in afternoon. There is no reason why you shouldn't feel fine at the end.

BellaBoo9114 · 26/08/2015 18:09

Hi all, only just joined mn so am a bit new it all, hope I'm not too late to join in! Expecting my second LO on jan 4th, just wanted to say hi!

lilyb84 · 26/08/2015 18:16

Not too late at all, bella - welcome and congrats!

There's a link to the stats sheet at the beginning of the thread if you'd like to add yourself (or let me know if you can't and I'll add you). We've also got a secret FB group, with details on how to join at the bottom of said stats sheet Smile

tinyme135 · 26/08/2015 18:18

think I'm gonna see how I feel mid October if I feel crap then I'm gonna leave start of December. and Hi Bella :)

Nightfall1983 · 26/08/2015 18:40

Oh, good point MissS I did that too, so although I worked up to 39+6 I didn't do a full week after about 30 weeks, I took an odd half day a week, then two half days etc - in my last two weeks I think I worked two full days and two half days a week...

BellaBoo9114 · 26/08/2015 18:45

Thanks lily I've just spent the last 15 mins faffing around with the spreadsheet and a google docs app and still can't get it to work so yes if you could please add me that would be great! I'm 33, 1dd, 0mc, due jan 4th and in cornwall! Thanks

Romeolovesjuliet · 26/08/2015 18:50

I'm still here guys, but lurking more than posting as can't be doing with password hassle.
We haven't bought A THING. I can't bring myself to do it before 20 weeks to be honest and even then it's more likely to be the last couple of months. We don't need much though as have bags full of boys' and girls' clothes, buggy, car seat etc. DH did go and see a car today so that might be ticked off our list soon.
I'm working until 36 wks I think. Finished at 37 with DD and she was born a week later, finished at about 35/36 wks with DS as was struggling but then I had a 19 month old too. If it's your first there's no reason not to work til the end if you feel well enough. Do make sure you get some time to yourself at home though because you will never, I repeat NEVER get it again!!!

AlohaMama · 26/08/2015 18:59

So very true Romeo. Can't even pee I peace and now when I get in the shower DD starts getting off her clothes ready to hop in!

Blackandwhitecat3 · 26/08/2015 19:18

I'm so glad I'm a teacher and can stop at 35 weeks for the Christmas hols. Shame about the crap maternity pay though!

welcome Bella you are due exactly a week before me Smile

Tiny glad you had a better day today and hope the medication is having the desired effect!

CubanoHabana · 26/08/2015 19:21

I'm still here but also lurking. I'm same as valency, stay ml on 18th Dec as last day of term but officially start 4th Jan, due 8th.
