Mama hope you find something tasty to settle your stomach!

I've been having a bread roll and soup at lunchtimes recently which was been quite non-sicky for me.

How old is DS ODog?

ODog · 23/09/2015 11:36

He is almost 16mo so he'll be not quite 2 when the newbie arrives.

ToffeeAppleMarsBar · 23/09/2015 11:49

Ha ha, don't worry ODog - didn't come across as selfish! I know exactly how you feel.

Wouldn't know what to do about the BF question... I imagine he would be pretty curious but depends how you feel about it? Would you want him to feed again? If not, you can just say it's only for babies and he's a big boy now?

Mamama31 · 23/09/2015 11:57

Thanks Tiff, went to the shop and bought Co Co pops and cheese and crackers! Random!!!

ToffeeAppleMarsBar · 23/09/2015 12:27

Ooh Mamama, that sounds like a scrumptious lunch! Is anyone else feeling bereft at the sandwich choices now open to them? I used to LOVE a Chicken & Bacon sandwich but I'm right in thinking you can't eat cold bacon pregnant, right? My sandwich choices are dead boring now.

TiffanyAtBreakfast · 23/09/2015 12:49

In that case ODog I'd be inclined to say it would be a bit of a backtrack for him to restart when he's already moved on. Isn't 2yrs rather old to be BFing? I agree with the suggestion of telling him it's for babies only... Because it is Grin

Oh wow Mama I could murder some cheese and crackers right now! That is a very random choice of foods there!

I didn't know that about the bacon Toffee, is that a thing? Wow I have a lot to learn...

Bishboshbash · 23/09/2015 12:50

Just looked on the nhs website, there's nothing that says you can't eat cold bacon Toffee so go for it!! I just had a cucumber and cheese sandwich for lunch, really lost my appetite the last few days.
Sorry to hear so many for you are having a hard time. Hopefully it all calms down soon and we can look forward to the second trimester!

ToffeeAppleMarsBar · 23/09/2015 12:53

OH MY GOD, you're amazing Bish - YAY I CAN HAVE MY BACON SARNIES AGAIN! I'm using an American based pregnancy app so that must be a difference in 'opinions' across the pond. I wonder what other differences there are?

What pregnancy apps are people using if any? I'm using Ovia Pregnancy which I really like, but obviously the Food Look Up bit is not very accurate.

TiffanyAtBreakfast · 23/09/2015 13:00

Phew, I love cold meats!

I'm using Ovia pregnancy too Toffee - 6+4 today for me and baby is the size of a blueberry Smile

ToffeeAppleMarsBar · 23/09/2015 13:05

Almost snap, tiff - I'm 6+3 and obviously still size of blueberry. I love the little things you get told each day. DH makes me screenshot the latest update and send them to him each day! Lol.

Mamama31 · 23/09/2015 13:07

Tiff I'm not using an app but I'm also 6+4 so thanks for the update on my little blueberry :)

Also the cheese and crackers was a success, I just went for leerdamer cheese as it's very very mild and buttered crackers. It was quite settling but still feel exhausted and a bit off, I'm home for lunch lying on my bed wishing I didn't have to go back to work :(

Mamama31 · 23/09/2015 13:09

Odog I wouldn't restart bf your 2yr old as might be difficult to stoo again- also you would be feeding around the clock then! Give the boobies a break! Haha! I know what you mean though it would be strange for you having bf your little one before but best to keep them moving forwards and promoting more independence. Will always be your baby though!

Mamama31 · 23/09/2015 13:10

*meant stop again not stoo!

TiffanyAtBreakfast · 23/09/2015 13:17

Ahh that's cute Toffee!

Well I think I'm 6+4 Confused to be honest I'm still confused and not feeling 100% on my EDD, because the first day of my last period was the 15th August, but I have very short cycles of around 21-23 days. Different websites seem to tell me different things! Just did another website and it told me 6+2. Gahhh.

Mamama31 · 23/09/2015 13:26

Tiff 1st day of last period for me was 11th August and I have short cycles as well about 25 days. So that's how I worked it out. So your probably right with 6+3 or 6+4, but I know for sure that every extra day counts! Lol! They will be able to date your at your scan anyway so go with 6+4 until then!

Mamama31 · 23/09/2015 13:27

Tiff also I knew the date I concieved and there's a calculator online to work out due date from date of conception so that was useful as well. Try that if you know!

ToffeeAppleMarsBar · 23/09/2015 14:17

Don't worry Tiff - I'm not 100% on my EDD date either. I'm the opposite - I have longer than average cycles and the first day of last period was 9th August. I trust whenever I have my scan they can keep me updated as Mamama said.

Well, I used up this week's tuna allowance on a baguette at lunch time. Yummy.

ToffeeAppleMarsBar · 23/09/2015 14:22

ALSO I REALLY WANT A NAP. zzzzzzzzzzz

Mamama31 · 23/09/2015 14:44

Toffee I'm back to work but also desperate for a nap! Zzzzz....2 hrs until home time! Bleurgh!

ToffeeAppleMarsBar · 23/09/2015 14:54

3 hours til home time for me Mamama, god damn my 6pm finishes. And then back on the bumpy bus for the ride home. Got a feeling I'll be crawling straight into bed. Baby growing is hard work.

Mamama31 · 23/09/2015 15:11

Awh Toffee suppose I should be thankful to finish at 5 and be home for ten past! Going out walking with a friend after work hoping to clear the cobwebs and feel a bit more refreshed! Really want to get in to bed but making myself do this as I need the exercise!

TiffanyAtBreakfast · 23/09/2015 15:19

Thanks guys, it's just annoying because I haven't been given a scan date yet, only a midwife appt - Will I find out then or is it mostly a paperwork appointment?

I need a nap tooooo Shock (

Mamama31 · 23/09/2015 15:22

Oh lovely Tiff! A nice break will do you the world of good :) I hope you enjoy it. Do you have plans or just a relaxing break?

TiffanyAtBreakfast · 23/09/2015 15:31

We haven't got any set plans, but I had noticed that 'The Big Sheep' (think it's a farm-themed amusement park), is only ten minutes from our cottage! Might have to be juvenile and pop down.

We're going with my DBro and his gf, just for a bit of a chilled out break really. It'll be interesting as they have quite a volatile relationship and tend to fall out a lot, so I hope it's not too awks...

DB doesn't know I'm pregnant yet as he's been away on a work trip, so I'm excited to tell him Smile not so excited to be stone cold sober while the others are being drunken loons though!

Any weekend plans for you Mama?

ODog · 23/09/2015 15:32

I wouldn't let him try with the intention of starting BFing him all the time again. I don't think he would even be able to do it as its quite a technique and they lose it if they don't practice. I guess I have always felt a little bit guilty about stopping BF before he self weaned so would hate to say no again! Maybe I'd let him try in a cup. He may not even ask but if he does I guess I want to know. I have a friend who is still BFing her toddler and he is always very interested then.
