Ican'tthink I feel your pain. I'm sleeping so badly at night and by the time I get to work I just want to nap. The period leading up to Christmas (starting now) is the busiest at work and I'm going to find it a real struggle.
My boss knows which helps, have you told anyone? I know if I feel really bad she will let me go home.
Apart from that I just try to leave my desk a lot, and a can of coke in the afternoon helps wake me up!

PosterEh · 17/09/2015 09:26

I didn't know you were in Ireland Mamama I moved to Dublin last year from England.

Daphnedolittle · 17/09/2015 09:27

Oh also mid afternoon chats on this thread will help you stay awake, like me and mama yesterdaySmile

Mamama31 · 17/09/2015 09:32

Indeed Poster! Sent you a wee pm.

Daphne afternoon chats def helped yesterday, and as you can see my motivation for work is pretty similar today!!! 5+5....1 week and 4 days until early scan....not that I'm counting.....

TiffanyAtBreakfast · 17/09/2015 09:33

Hmm I don't seem to be able to add my details to that spreadsheet! Maybe I am just rubbish with technology.

Feeling really nauseous this morning, felt like I had a hangover when I woke up! Wonder if I'm not drinking enough water in the evenings... It's so easy to be good at work sat with a big bottle, but at home I just forget completely!

Muffin7 · 17/09/2015 09:33

I've been feeling very sick for the last few mornings but this morning was the first time that I've actually been sick. I'm 6+5, is this quite normal?

PosterEh · 17/09/2015 09:38

Sounds normal to me muffin.

Muffin7 · 17/09/2015 09:44

PosterEh Phew! I did feel instantly better once I'd been sick and had some breakfast.

Mamama31 · 17/09/2015 09:45

Muffin sounds about right! I can feel the nausea coming on since yesterday so I'd imagine by the time I'm 6+5 next week I will likely be the same!

TiffanyAtBreakfast · 17/09/2015 09:46

Sending sympathy Muffin

Bishboshbash · 17/09/2015 09:46

Ok I have added you Mamama31 and I can add anyone else to the first list if you want?

Grouchy, I live near Fort Kinnaird, so just down the road from you! Wave to Belmo as well!! How exciting, there were hardly any Scots in my last antenatal group and none nearby!

Sorry to hear some of you are feeling rotten, I am bracing myself for feeling rough soon, might go try and be productive and do lots of fun stuff with DS before the symptoms kick in. I keep thinking my boobs aren't sore then ds will lean on me and ouch!! I'm SAHM so I apologise if I am on here talking too much!

TiffanyAtBreakfast · 17/09/2015 09:47

Bishbosh please could you add me? 27, first baby, based in South East. Smile

Mamama31 · 17/09/2015 09:51

Bish thanks for that your a star :) and yes might be a good idea to entertain your ds while you still can, how many weeks are you? And can I just be stupid and ask what SAHM is??

Daphnedolittle · 17/09/2015 09:52

bishbosh and me please Smile
30, due 4th May, first baby, Bromley.

Bishboshbash · 17/09/2015 09:55

When is your due date Tiffany?
I'm only 4+5weeks, oh and SAHM is stay at home mum ;-)

ToffeeAppleMarsBar · 17/09/2015 10:01

Oooh please may someone add me to the list? I can't get it to work.

I'm 26, First Baby, Due: 18/05/2016, live in Worcestershire

There's certainly more sickness going around now, isn't there?! Hope everyone is feeling pukey enough for it to be a 'good sign' but not pukey enough to feel truly terrible. I had a REAL pang of sickness last night (might have been a mixture of nausea and wind which was not a comfortable combination!) and felt a bit more pukey this morning but nowhere near enough to actually be sick yet.

What do people tend to eat in the morning? We're terrible in our house and very rarely eat breakfast but I am starting to feel like I really do need to eat first thing.

TiffanyAtBreakfast · 17/09/2015 10:02

Oh sorry Bish, due date is 17th May so I'm 5+4.

TiffanyAtBreakfast · 17/09/2015 10:04

Toffee Ooh yes I think you should definitely be having breakfast. I've always had a small bowl of bran flakes in the morning, but it makes me feel a bit sick now. I was contemplating buying some mini croissants as they're quick to eat.

BeckleinDisguise · 17/09/2015 10:06

Maud so sorry, I do hope you're okay xxx

Great news on the scan southy, hopefully the next week will go nice and quickly for you x

WRT hair dyeing, I contacted my hairdresser as I have all over bright red which needs redoing quite regularly and she said it's absolutely fine to dye during pregnancy, the only problem may be if the condition of your hair changes it might not take the colour so evenly. She has platinum white hair which she dyed all through both her pregnancies.

No sickness here but sometimes in the morning my stomach feels hungover if that makes any sense? It's usually oaky once I eat. Some days I'm so tired my eyes feel scratchy all day and other days I feel okay. I had a nasty taste all day yesterday but it still doesn't feel real to me.

mamama I'm really looking forward to Disney but feel really sad as my DS2 (12) loves rides, as does DD (7) and I usually go on with them as I love it and DH hates it! DS2 in particular is going to be very disappointed I won't be going on with him as we were looking forward to it so much. I think even though my first scan is not until we are home (13w) that we may have to tell the children and the friends we're going away with before we go.

I have looked into an early scan, I don't mind paying, it would certainly make me feel better to know all was well before going to France, but the next appointment the place I found has is Oct 30... My scan is only a couple of days later!

I've managed to add myself to the stats using the first link but couldnt use the second.

PinkBubbles1 · 17/09/2015 10:15

daphne - you are scarily close to where I live!!

PeasinPod1 · 17/09/2015 10:44

Hi all hope you are all well? I'm now 5+5 days, because of some spotting and 1 short bleed I went in for checks this week at my EPU...my HCG levels and progesterone were very high/reassuring although in isolation we cant tell too much. Had an internal scan yesterday and she saw the black gestational sac but nothing else, Doctor seemed happy/nonplussed by this an said as so early- but all looks in right place/measurements, so booked in again next week and in 2 weeks...

Have any of you had scans at 5 weeks and seen the yolk sac/more than this? Now I'm worrying myself again!

Southy84 · 17/09/2015 10:54

Hi everyone sorry for disappearing for the past day I've been having a bit of a wobble, been spotting and cramping again :( . peas I had a scan on Tuesday 5+2 and only saw a sac - sonographer said potentially some amnio but absolutely nothing else so don't worry (here I am worrying...) I went in because have had a previous mc and have had stomach pains and spotting, I have to go back next Friday for a repeat scan.hcg seems to be rising ok but they wouldn't check my progesterone so I was a bit upset about that. I actually called my gp yesterday and got another blood test arranged and he's tested hcg and progesterone (hoping I will get results tomorrow but will phone today to see if they're ready). What are your hcg levels?

Mamama31 · 17/09/2015 10:59

Peas I had a scan last pregnancy at 5+3 and it was just the sac they were happy with that scan. Next week you should see the yolk and fetal pole hopefully!

Bish thanks for clarifying SAHM- seems obvious now!!

Beckle it probably would make sense to tell kids/other on holiday as otherwise you might disappoint them by not going on anything.

Is anyone having frequent urination as in have to get up through the night busting to go?? I had that last time but not this time- I'm not complaining it was very annoying but if you all have it I want it! Haha!

Mamama31 · 17/09/2015 11:01

Southy are good luck for results, we are here if you need support and to share your worries. It's such a stressful time and waiting game for you- so unfair!

29redshoes · 17/09/2015 11:04

Hello! Do you mind if I join?

I'm 29, this is baby #1 and I live in London. I'm due on May 11, which makes me 6+1 today!

I've also been getting nausea the past few days, then was actually sick this morning for the first time. Joy! Fortunately I'm off work at the moment so have spent the morning lounging in bed, not sure how this is all going to work once I'm back in the office next week!

I've already got my booking in appointment through and it's super early - next Tuesday, when I'll only be 6+6. I'm a little worried they made a mistake, do you think I should call them and check? I was pregnant once before and it ended in an early miscarriage so I'm wondering if it's because of that.
