Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 37th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 36th grads fred is here

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 52nd outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

Ooo test camping sounds fun carrot

My jeans have started to get a little tight but I'm ignoring that for as long as possible.

Got our first can date and now I'm a bit scared because the booklet was just a list of what could be wrong. It's in the hospital I don't want to be at (heard some really bad things). Also how much did everyone pay for they're scan pictures? They didn't say how much they just said you have to pay.

jellypi3 · 20/08/2015 10:12

carrot my symptoms came and went to be honest, some days i felt absolutly normal, other days i felt rough. My boobs stopped hurting about 11/12 weeks, and my sickness went away about week 10 (though now it's back with a bloody vengeance). I think it's perfectly normal for them to go around that stage, its around 11/12 weeks the placenta takes over and the HCG levels drop.

When is your 12w scan? :) A lot of you Marchie's will be having scans soon!

Oh i've got my 16w appointment with my mw tomorrow, is there anything I should ask in particular? I want to ask about my headaches and my back pain (and the still being sick thing) but not sure if there's anything else I should be asking.

jellypi3 · 20/08/2015 10:13

pickle ours were a fiver :)

SecondCupOfTea · 20/08/2015 10:36

Pickle it's £4 at my hospital

picklethistle · 20/08/2015 10:40

Ok il make sure I take lots of change. Is that just for one picture?

gaggiagirl · 20/08/2015 10:45

pickle four bloody quid....each...for one 'pose' I bloody work there I demand staff perks, I didn't have to pay for DDs pics. Dodgy bastards!

honeysucklejasmine · 20/08/2015 10:48

Ours were £3 for three copies of the same photo. Smile

My leaflet said to pay, but we never did.
Perhaps that's why our trust seems to be haemorrhaging money Grin

picklethistle · 20/08/2015 10:56

I'm a bit astounded really, I'm pretty sure I pay my taxes, some of that money goes to the NHS and they are charging extra money for a scan picture. Every one is getting very good at bleeding money from us these days. Angry

pretzelpieces · 20/08/2015 11:16

Ours were £5 for one, but she actually gave us about 4 Grin

jellypi3 · 20/08/2015 11:27

Well, password changed on MN but struggling to change it on other sites, you think it would be easy to help you stay secure! Trying to do it on an iPad in the middle of nowhere with bugger all signal though, think I will have to wait until I get home and try it on the actual computer. Ho hum. At least I have different passwords for Amazon/PayPal etc! (More luck than judgement).

Sorry to hear that some Viroids are feeling poorly (or not in your case Carrot! My MS has gone by about 11 weeks so I used to poke myself in the nip to 'see if I was still pregnant', I don't recommend this!!)

I was at the lower end of recommended weight gain a couple of weeks ago which I was quite happy with, but I am away with my family this week. Dad and bro are chefs, SIL is Italian and everyone else is really good at cooking. Each couple cooks one evening and it is like eating in a restaurant every night (which is awesome obviously), but my bump had become massive as a result! I don't mind putting on weight so much as I know that I will lose it, but I am scared of having a giant baby!!! I was hoping for like a 6 and a half pounder, I'm scared it will be more like 10 at this rate, eek! Seeing the midwife next week so hopefully she can measure me and reassure me that I am not going to give birth to a teenager.

oneyorkshirepud · 20/08/2015 12:10

Eep for buying clothes Honey, I really want to but all of the baby clothes/soft snugly toys but I know that we will get lots of them as presents so I am trying to resist but they are so cute!!!

jellypi3 · 20/08/2015 12:12

pud nowt wrong with 10 pounders, have you seen La and Dulcet's beauties on the FB group recently Grin

It's the Asda sale i've seen, the baby sale, there's some fantastic deals on there! Especially furniture. Also loads of places are doing deals on those baby milk bottle maker things, but i guess i'd only use that if i was bottle feeding!

CarrotPuff · 20/08/2015 12:17

Haha purple, nice one!

pud I'm sure your baby will be alright! Do you know how much you weighed at birth? Are you similar in size to your mum? That will be your best guess.

Jelly we paid £2 per pic but it was at a different trust. Don't know what it's like here.

Still don't have my scan date, I've only got my booking in tomorrow Hmm so I hope they will give me a date then.

Thanks for reassurance viroids, I'm just getting more anxious now as I didn't have an early scan, but I was pretty sure things were ok then, but having my doubts now...

Also very nervous about this job thing, they haven't called yet. The pessimist in me is thinking they've called people they want first, and calling all the "no's" later in case someone refused or because they are a bit more difficult calls... If someone got a grip please pass it this way!

goodnessgraciousgouda · 20/08/2015 12:39

yorkshire - sadly I think it's pretty much pot luck about what size the baby is. Obviously if you starve yourself it will be smaller than otherwise, and if you gorge yourself it will be bigger than otherwise, but overall I think the powers that be just pick a weight out of a hat! I've seen people the size of manatees give birth to 7lbers and ladies the size of kate moss give birth to 10lbers!!

Although overall I share your worries!!! I think big babies can make birth much more difficult when it's the first time round, and DH was over 10lbs when born Confused

I'm 20 weeks and have put on just under 5kg (about 10lbs). It's within the normal perimeters but I know I'm eating more than I need, so should really cut down. My bump is still really unimpressive as well!! Come on bump!!!

Was it would whose manager was a total dickhead? I really think you should report him to human resources for comments like that. There's no way in hell that they are ever appropriate, even in jest. If he says anything again you might want to "jokingly" mention that that's exactly the sort of inappropriate language that gets people pulled up on discrimination charges

carrot - enjoy it!!! I would have full weeks feeling great before MS would make an unwelcome re appearance! If you finish MS earlier than last time then that is cause for a celebration! It is weird though that period between feeling like shit, and being able to feel movement, where it really doesn't feel like you're pregnant at all (aside from needing way more sleep in my case). I nearly ordered a glass of wine a few weeks back!!

CarrotPuff · 20/08/2015 13:14

I would kill for a glass of wine... And also DP has bought some brie a while back and it's still sitting in the fridge, although he promised to eat it AngryAngryAngry

ThursdayLastWeek · 20/08/2015 13:18

Mmm, I'm well looking forward to fancying a glass of wine again soon Smile I just can't face it at the mo.

Just spent a happy half hour browsing maternity tops on eBay. I'm watching about a million!
