I'm at work till 1 too mrschatty I didn't want to get out of bed. Back back ache horrible cold lack of sleep twinges here and there from the little one, so stocked up on chocolate xD

melonface · 08/08/2015 09:50

moonshine me too! ours is in am hour. mixture of nerves and excitement.

sleepy my bump is B shaped most of the day and only goes round late at night so it's clearly still bloat. Our babys and bellies have a lot more growing to do yet Smile

welcome bear !

kep1979 · 08/08/2015 10:07

Welcome bear - I am due 15 January too.

Good luck for all the scans today.

crumble with my youngest I was exactly the same, I didn't agree with the moved dates so I pushed my consultant to schedule my elcs as late as possible - so was finally booked for 39+2 which was 38+4 from memory of my dates. Anyway ds decided to arrive at 38 weeks by emcs so earlier than schedule section but later than the originally offered date so I felt happy.

I had a horrid day yesterday - as expected I am being challenged about my sickness as well as performance and also they want to change my reporting line from my boss to one of my (less experienced, unqualified) colleagues. So not at all a happy bunny and will probably post more next week when I am formulating a response! Trying to forget about it and enjoy the first proper not moving in weekend in my new home. And Bean has been kicking away this morning so that cheered me upGrin

lilyb84 · 08/08/2015 10:15

Welcome bear!

My 'bump' is still mostly bloat so just feeling quite fat - I can see the difference but pretty much everyone else keeps telling me there's nothing there yet. Roll on bump!

kep sorry to hear they've done what you suspected, how frustrating for you. Try to enjoy your weekend!! Flowers

MissSMartin · 08/08/2015 10:24

welcome Bear!! Grin Congratulations xx

oh my goodness I'm on day 3 of my headache from hell now that started dinner time on Thursday.. and nothing helps! It must love me so much it doesn't wanna go away Lol

hope everyone has a lovely weekend!! Grin

Stylingwax · 08/08/2015 10:35

Hello bear. I am 18+4 and still feeling very nauseous. I find the travel sickness bands fab and have been wearing them 24/7 since week 8!
Getting some wriggles though which is nice, but no bump really, just a bit wobbly!

SleepyDragon · 08/08/2015 10:37

Moon and Melon so glad I'm not alone with this, thanks for sharing ladies.

All I want is A: to feel bumble move a bit more than I do and B: to look pregnant not family sized pizza scoffer! Lol!

BearGrower · 08/08/2015 10:39

Thanks styling that's good to know (although not for you I imagine!) - people seem to think it's odd I still feel sick and look disappointed when they ask how I am and I can't lie that I feel ok! Sickness bands didn't work for me but glad they do for you. Hope yours clears soon.

RE the B Belly - I've just googled and have that too - even when my stomach was flattish it still was a little B so I guess I shouldn't be too surprised.

Lookingforadvice123 · 08/08/2015 11:09

Ooh moonshine and melon make sure you update us on what you're having! Any ideas? I was so convinced mine was a boy so when she told me it was I was like, yeah just confirming what I already know! Hehe.

DH felt baby move/kick for the first time last night, so lush. I'd felt quite a few kicks when I was lying on my back in bed reading, so told him to put his hand on where I'd felt it and after a little while he kicked! He seems to always be kicking the right side for the past week or so, must be lying across.

19 weeks today Smile

ValancyJane · 08/08/2015 11:10

Place marking! Juniper I thought that about the April 2016 group the other day, the first trimester really dragged but the weeks seem to be going quite quickly now.

Sleepy Mine is like this if I don't wear maternity clothes, leggings and dresses (which I pretty much live in) smooth it all over and make me look properly pregnant, but pyjamas for example just make me look pretty blooming fat! I'm assuming that once I get further along though (16+1 today) it will turn into a proper bump!

Good luck with the scan moon and welcome bear

Kep I don't know the backstory from the last thread, I missed a few pages, but work pulled me into a meeting about my attendance when my morning sickness and exhaustion was at it's worst. Thankfully they were quite understanding (I told them my doctor had already offered to sign me off, but I felt it was better to work the days I could rather than just be signed off - they were very good after I told them that), but one of my best friends who works as an employment solicitor just told me to quote section 18 of the equality act 2010 at them if I had any issues - they cannot treat you unfavourably due to your pregnancy or illness you've had due to your pregnancy. Don't know if that's any help, but I felt better once I knew the law!

Dreadful headache today and like others had a rubbish nights sleep, I woke up at 3:30am and couldn't sleep again until 6am. About to dye my hair for the first time since being pregnant and am pathetically excited about not having crap hair anymore! Wanted to wait until I was well and truly out of the first trimester to be on the safe side, no more roots here I come!

TeenieDeenie · 08/08/2015 11:16

Morning all! Thanks for the new thread Bee. Just place marking, need to go catch up.

MissSMartin · 08/08/2015 11:51

anyone else already excited to finish work for mat leave hehe!?
I am Grin I've worked it out that due to having at least 9 days holiday off at the start of each month until I finish on Christmas eve that I only actually have 14 weeks left of working..

I can actually see my uterus popping out now when I lie on my back.. when I was very flat lying down last week

16+1

coffeenut · 08/08/2015 12:12

v interesting all the different shaped bellies! Have just had to google D-shape and B-shape and the rest. Mine has a tendency to be squarish at times, then pop out again into a rounded shape. At the moment I seem to be pointy! It's all to do with your muscles and fat storage right? I wouldn't worry sleepy you will look properly pregnant soon.

Thanks crumble. With any luck given the timing of christmas and NY, you might be able to really push them back into the new year??

Can someone remind me who had the high risk of patau syndrome? I was talking to a friend who has patau and reminded me of the poster - did she end up having the CV?

melonface · 08/08/2015 12:23

scan was amazing Smile We are having a girl!

melonface · 08/08/2015 12:24

Looking I was convinced boy so my intuition was out!

MissSMartin · 08/08/2015 12:30

melon Aww congratulations Grin xx

ValancyJane · 08/08/2015 12:37

Aww that's lovely news melon congratulations!

Lookingforadvice123 · 08/08/2015 12:49

Congrats melon! This is definitely a mainly pink thread, everyone I know in RL seems to be having girls too!

Does anyone else have shoots pains on and off in their foof? I had them a couple of weeks ago and they're really bad this morning, I've googled it before and although it said it was normal I can't remember what the cause was...and don't want to start googling again as it only makes me anxious!

melonface · 08/08/2015 13:08

Yeah in our family and friends there isn't a single little boy. There must be a shortage! I'm just so happy that baby is healthy as I've been so anxious. My daughter Smile I can't believe it!

Lookingforadvice123 · 08/08/2015 13:19

Was this your anomaly scan then melon? Mine is a week Monday! Can't wait for it but at the same time I will be so nervous as its so detailed!

MissSMartin · 08/08/2015 13:21

looking omg yes! Fanny Daggers I believe people call them .. I have no idea what causes them but if I'm sat on the couch and I get it I feel like I shoot up with the pain Blush

To the ladies who love frankfurters guess what I'm having for my lunch hehe.. thought I had to share that.

melonface · 08/08/2015 13:31

No it was a private 3D one, 20 week scan is in 4 weeks but I couldn't wait that long to be reassured that baby is ok (past miscarriage means I'm a nervous wreck)

melonface · 08/08/2015 13:31

Another one with lightening fanny here!

crumble74 · 08/08/2015 13:56

Thanks kep! Good to know you had a very similar experience and it turned out fine!

Sorry to hear you're having a rough time of it at work. Hopefully you can take your mind of it at the weekend.

sleepy I have a B shaped tummy and had the same last time round. I didn't look pregnant till I was 30 weeks or so. That's ages away! :(

Congrats on the scan melon! Definitely lots of pink on this thread. I was also convinced I was having another boy until I was told otherwise! Still feels surreal to refer to bean as a "she"!

mrschatty · 08/08/2015 14:05

tiny we made it!!!! Victory dance! I was quiet so wasn't too bad...

Welcome bear were just a few days apart so exciting is 17w tomorrow (according to scans...lmp says different...)

melon team pink wonderful! Congratulations Smile
looking I get the shooting pain in woo woo area too...apparently normal according to my midwife mother it's blood supply in area and will only continue if not get worse!!!
