A hint if you have a baby names book with the meanings in it it is under E.

Hi all,

Just a quick hello. Sorry I haven't caught up with all the news yet.

Great to have a new thread.

I've been to see a chiropractor (Sp) today he says that although I haven't got severe SPD he thinks it could get worse because I've got poor muscle tone and Hypermobility syndrome which means my joints already extend further than they should and with the relaxin that is released during pg it's only going to get worse!! Great.

Good luck to those having scans tomorrow I'm in that club too - mine is tomorrow.

Hope everyone ok.

CaptainDippy · 22/11/2006 21:24

Snap - I have hypermobility syndrome too Ange!

That sound very painful angeG. Poor you and there's me moaning about a bit of back ache
BIG HUG. LOL

Sexonlegs · 22/11/2006 21:33

Fab new thread CD! Hilarious. Nutty, congrats on the scan and the pink bean. How exciting!
My dd is 3.6 CD and is bloody obnoxious - very like how my first nephew was. Had a better day with her today, although she made a right show of herself when we went to a friends for lunch - saying she didn't like the food or the friend!!
No news from Pesha yet. I hope all is ok.
I have felt dreadful today - bit of a dicky tummy this a.m. and have felt really chilled to the bone and utterly exhausted. Having a dd free day tomorrow and my mw is coming round for tea and cakes and of course a check- up. I hope all is ok. I am feeling quite paranoid about this pg.
Names, names! I think for a girl we will go for Katie Elizabeth and if it is a boy, then probably Adam Matthew. So quite traditional really.
Anyway, enough waffle. Really hope you lovely gals are feeling good, and fingers crossed for any scans going on tomorrow.

Night night. xx

CaptainDippy · 22/11/2006 21:38

Every sympathy SOL honey!

Hope you have a super DD-free day tomorrow honey - enjoy your tea & cakes - and check-up, of course!! Your names are lovely btw - we're pretty traditional ourselves - DD's are Katherine and Sophia.

Off to bed .....

runnyhabbit · 22/11/2006 22:00

Cornflakes were so lovely, bump told me to have 2 bowls

doobydoo · 22/11/2006 22:07

I am going to officially speak to midwife at my scan to see what i can do.Do you reckon a pelvic support irdle would be helpful..it might be worth a try.Good luck for your scan.
Night all.

doobydoo · 22/11/2006 22:08

'irdle'...I meant GIRDLE

thewilderbeast · 22/11/2006 23:11

Hello,

Thanks for welcoming messages. Nice to have some preggers friends even if you are virtual! Am first of the gang to be having a small so all seems extra new. My mum and supervisor get all my anxious enquiries at the mo.

eca have only just started my doctorate - great timing eh! Luckily i get paid as it is strictly speaking a professional training course funded by the nhs. Are you writing up now?

Does anyone else have a completely rub local nhs trust? Mine has just sent me my dating scan. It's on the 4th of december, three weeks after my anomoly scan! I am fast losing faith in them. When i was in the waiting room on monday i saw a notice which said that they charged for a photo to cover costs of materials (ok, pricey but understandable given penny saving climate) AND so they could send their sonographers on training courses!!! Does this mean that if we didn't buy photos they wouldn't be able to get trained?

Also thought i better pass on my tights buying tip. Went to Formes the othr day in seach of tights as normal ones getting uncomfortable despite modest sized bump. They are £20 per pair!!! Nearly cried as need at least four pairs. Anyway went to Debenhams and v. nice girl said the only ones they had were spanx and were in sale bin (spanx?!). Anyway were only £6 reduced from £20, so if you are looking try debenhams. They are super comfy and supportive and strangely accentuate the bump, but in a nice way.

Anyway i'm sure you've all fallen asleep, so i'll stop wittering.

The wilderbeast

CaptainDippy · 23/11/2006 08:49

It's nice to have you here Wilderbeast!

Morning all - feeling sick and out of breath, but ok.

Yes runny, my name does begin with D - you are just so darn clever, ain't ya!!?

weeeonion - you had SEX on a BBQ!!? Wasn't that awkward and a little uncomfortable!!? Boringly enough, my Bean would also be called 'Bed' - how positively unexciting of us!!

Anyway, DD's to sort out, best go .....

Hi everyone
AngeG sorry to hear about your SPD, must be miserable. {hug}
Great news re. all the scans and another pink bean to match mine, Nutty girl!
Good luck to all those with their scans soon.
Have a good day ... I'm off to try and get 'inspired' for some Christmas presents!

liath · 23/11/2006 08:58

Great thread title CD !

Well based on conception dd would be "Belfast" and this one would be "sofa"!!

Congratulations on your scan, Nutty and another pink one!! Wonder if we'll redress the balance next week.

I'm feeling a bit scruffy this pregnancy. I've given most of my nice Formes clothes to my middle sister as she works full time & I only do one day a week. Oh well. I went to a nice boutique last time & the sales woman was very keen to tell me that JK Rowling had just been and bought the same jumper as me. A couple of weeks later when I was wearing the jumper a total stranger came up & said "OOh, I like your jumper. Did you know that JK Rowling has the same one?". Quite bizarre & only in Edinburgh !

Have a great day everyone and good luck for any scans.

runnyhabbit · 23/11/2006 09:23

Morning all

The morning after we'd conceived, dh actually said to me " I think you're pregnant" Few weeks and a pregnancy test later, he was right.

Worked out that ds was conceieved on the weekend of my dads birthday!

runnyhabbit · 23/11/2006 09:28

I know its been metioned before, but are we arranging a meet up for all those in the south west/Wales? I don't mind travelling across the bridge, and it would be nice to have something good to look forward to after Christmas

hotlipsmummy · 23/11/2006 09:32

Morning ladies. Thanks for the new thread!

Hope AngeG starts to feel a little better - you have my sympathy.

LOL at the guessing people's names - 1b3 is it Ezra? And its always helpful to have more suggestions - DH and I are totally stuck this time. Last time I was having dreams about having a boy called Harrison so when DS arrived there was no other choice! He does have a middle name after where he was conceived too (Roman). Bit chavvy I know but couldn't resist!

Funny too with all these pink beans! I'm sure we are going to have a boy - my grandma has 5 great grandsons in the last 2.5 yrs so am pretty sure we will have boy 6 in 3 yrs! DH thinks it must be time for a girl...

Good luck to those having scans today - maybe we'll get some more boys...

CornflakeKid · 23/11/2006 09:42

hotlipsmummy - there are 8 grandsons and no girls at all in our family - the pressure is on!

congrats on scan nuttygirl - another pinkie - maybe its a sign...

runnyhabit - would like to meet up after christmas - need to get a diary and check dates.

work today - bbooooorrrrrriiinnnnggggg!

have a nice day everyone - new thread title made me chuckle too!

Bramshott · 23/11/2006 09:52

Morning all!

Weeonion - I misread your BBQ as B&Q, so was picturing you romping among the flat pack kitchens! Our bean was concieved on holiday in Ireland which is kind of nice, and as DD (and DH) has an Irish name already, we'll probably go down that route for this one too. Just tricky to find something that's nice without being totally unspellable / unpronounceable!

Plauged by awful dreams about losing the baby last night and woke up in tears, feeling like I'd hardly slept. Sitting here nursing a cup of black coffee now and feeling glad to be awake. Luckily bean gave me a hefty kick as soon as I woke up, so I was instantly re-assured. And the sun is shining here!!

20+4

runnyhabbit · 23/11/2006 09:56

CFK - looking forward to it already

We thought that we were having girl first time round, just because there are so few boys in mine and dh family. I was so chuffed to have ds!
