Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 34th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 34th grads fred is here

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 51st outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

Tbh carrot I just felt really tired till near end of second trimester, I think to some respect pregnancy just brings tiredness! Definitely an excuse to eat more cake I'd say..

Grad grads, do you use your cots at all in first 6 months? Am thinking that as we have a cocoonababy and bedside cot thing to put it in (both secind hand from fsmily members hurrah!) May not bother getting cotbed till later on? Just starting to make me feel like I haven't prepared now...

Purpleball · 01/08/2015 13:19

We've got our cot bed and a changer over it. I'm thinking I'll change nappies in there then put baby in the cot while I go wash my hands.
I wanted to have it all in place because it's another safe place to put baby and if you've got one that doesn't sleep well, you could put baby in there and close the door while you go scream and it might help.
I don't think it's necessary til 6 months unless baby outgrows Moses basket/crib/co sleeper though

mountaingirl01 · 01/08/2015 13:32

You are so much more prepared than me purple! We currently have: cocoonababy, promise of bedside cot, 3xslings, changing mat, tiny climbing shoes, various knit wear, car seat and pram.

I have at least cleared the room..

Wandering if I should call the midwife about this lower back/AF pain or am I just being hypochondriac?

Lookingforadvice123 · 01/08/2015 13:45

Silly question but how long does the uterus stay in the pelvic region? I haven't got much of a bump at all in the morning before eating any timing (18 weeks today) but my pelvic region is definitely fuller, above my knicker line. Shouldn't it have moved up and out by now?

CarrotPuff · 01/08/2015 13:56

Mountain looks like you've got all the big things sorted, you still have time.

Looking I went home at 25w with DS and my mum said if she didn't know I was gp she would have thought I just put on some weight! It's quite normal not to show with your first until 20+ weeks.

Purpleball · 01/08/2015 13:58

Mountain it's all about reducing anxiety. Plus we got given tons!

Looking it reaches your belly button at 20 weeks according to my app

batfish · 01/08/2015 14:06

mountain I don't have any kind of clue about anything but my SIL used the cot for some daytime naps from pretty early on to get her baby used to it - but a friend has a 6 month old and still hasn't used her cot at all. So I guess it really depends what you plan to do. I would like to try to do what SIL did as when they put their baby in the cot in her own room at night it was a very easy transition - although of course that could have just been luck rather than having used it for naps. But I would say you don't neeeeeeed the cot right at the beginning. Oh and def call your midwife - hopefully nothing to worry about at all but worrying is horrible so any way to ease your concerns is good!

Yay carrot for being over 8 weeks!!

batfish · 01/08/2015 14:18

Oh hang on I can't count - I've gained 25lb not 21lb!

5hell · 01/08/2015 14:23

Hi viroids, today I've properly decided to go with PMA so no more whispering n lurking - there's no such thing as jinxing so I've decided to just relax and hope. Ive bought myself a pregnancy journal and got dh to take first 'progress' photo this morning. I'm 5w5d and in theory due on 28/3 (my very own bday!) and already feel more pg than with mc :)

...Dh is always talking about going to beamish as it's near his family. ..think he must have loved it as a kid. Up there in a couple of weeks so might go for it then.

oneyorkshirepud · 01/08/2015 14:33

Yey 5hell! Hello!

Mountain, call your midwife for reassurance.

Purpleball · 01/08/2015 14:44

Mountain call the midwife if you're worried

5hell congratulations and welcome Smile it's good to have you here

Aufwiedersehenpetrarch · 01/08/2015 14:47

Hallo 5hell!! :) waves madly
jelly I missed the earlier post. This house is in Doncaster? ponders

batfish · 01/08/2015 14:50

Well done 5hell for the change in attitude - totally right that there is no such thing as jinxing so you may as well join in with our pointless chat and share your excitement and your worries! I totally ruined my early pregnancy by being convinced of something going wrong and now I look back and feel sad that I didn't get excited - by the time I relaxed about it all it was old news! I am very lucky to have never had mc but my best friend had 3 so I think I got the anxiety from her. I had my first scan at 5 weeks 5 days and saw a heartbeat so just think you could have a tiny little heart beating in there already and if not now then very soon!!

pretzelpieces · 01/08/2015 16:41

We went for the first antenatal class with the NHS today. It's run by the physios and tbh I just found it really depressing. I'm feeling crap physically today anyway, all tired and sicky and dizzy and it just sounded to me like "your body will fall apart and you will have back problems forever while you wee your pants". Fed up Sad

gaggiagirl · 01/08/2015 16:59

mountain beamish is in county Durham its very cool and massive. You get round it on trams.
But more importantly, yes ring the midwife especially as you've had two swamp episodes this week.

5hell welcome back!

bat I'm enjoying not dieting and just eating whatever so high five for that. It'll all come off once boobing commences anyway.

gaggiagirl · 01/08/2015 17:02

pretzel awwww just ignore them its all bollocks. Sorry you feel rubbish. You might be one of the ones that doesn't piss themselves. I'm a pisser.

Aufwiedersehenpetrarch · 01/08/2015 17:25

pret I agree with ga! I mostly felt great during pregnancy and my body didn't fall apart or hurt much regardless of me being hypermobile, having an arthritis like autoimmune disease and not having great pelvic floor muscles. It's luck of the draw IMO so take it as it comes, you might not have anything to be depressed about at all! Smile Just drink lots of milk to keep calcium levels up and if you can do the pelvic floor exercises.

honeysucklejasmine · 01/08/2015 17:32

Ooh Auf, do you have SLE? I do! I accept that my hips will prob be screwed, but I've actually felt pretty darn good, flare eise, since getting pg. Win!

Indigoblue2 · 01/08/2015 17:54

Sorry I haven't been around much viroids in last couple of days but I just had to drop in and say I just smashed 10cm on the Epi-No ShockShock And that's measuring it the "new way" - it's well over 10 if I shut one eye!

5hell · 01/08/2015 18:08

thanks all! may have jinxed myself after all - just had a bit of bleeding and feel a bit wobbly...you couldn't make this shit up!!! Angry

well done Ind - i looked at the epi-no and was shocked at the price but impressed by the concept

gaggiagirl · 01/08/2015 18:09

Congratulations!

gaggiagirl · 01/08/2015 18:11

5hell are you ok? You poor thing. I really hope its nothing.

mountaingirl01 · 01/08/2015 18:20

5hell try not to panic lovey, could be nothing, any cramping? How many weeks are you now?

(Thanks for all the support viroids) ache seems to be easing so think it might be muscular.. If still here tomorrow/later will definitely ring the midwife crossed my mind today I should contemplate the idea of a hospital bag at some point

5hell · 01/08/2015 18:20

best case I over did it with the shagging and pilates this morning
worst case mc no2

could be shortest-lived case of PMA ever!

honeysucklejasmine · 01/08/2015 18:35

5hell keep the positive mental attitude lovely. Pretty much all of us had spottingspotting or bleeding at some point. G firmly x for you. Flowers
