Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 34th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 34th grads fred is here

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 51st outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

blimey ga big baby?? good all the other tests were ok!

had my risk assessment in work, pretty dull. I'm low risk for everything annoyingly. I said i'd like to revisit the assessment in 10 weeks when im bigger to see if i agree haha!

WouldRatherHaveCake · 28/07/2015 16:18

ga have you been referred for a growth scan? I measured ahead. They sent me for one and told me to expect a 10lb baby. After he was born I had to send OH out on an emergency clothes shop as I had next to nothing in newborn size for my 8lb baby!

mountaingirl01 · 28/07/2015 16:27

I was measuring small ga sent for growth scan... actually having a larger than average baby Hmm we'll see!

Ditto on both gbbo and no tv so no spoilers please! (although sounds like we will all be watching an hour later! )

gaggiagirl · 28/07/2015 16:53

chat dammit they were right! Grin
No offer of scan or GTT just another check in 2wks. I want a scan just to see the little wriggler again.

Niffertiti · 28/07/2015 17:01

chat thanks, I did think your experience might make you advise being a bit more more cautious, especially with your super-speedy labours. I think that's why my instinct is to bring it forward a few weeks rather than wait for 38wks and risk it then. And as for driving and routes, there are no circumstances whatsoever under which my DH is driving us anywhere in Thailand whilst I am in labour. He panics in foreign traffic, has no sense of direction whatsoever and is a fairly terrible driver (imho)! I will be having the Thai Addison lee on standby...

This long weekend was originally going to be a Christmas treat, when I'd be 38wks. As it is, I think it's just going to be a really weird Xmas, just me and dh sat in a serviced apartment in Bangkok, waiting for a baby!

Pud can you post me some cake, that sounds amazing!

I had a totally underwhelming 16 week mw appt earlier. For a start, I still haven't met 'my' mw - I've had locums both at booking and this time. This one told me off for not bringing wee - no one told me to at my last appt, or gave me a wee-pot! And then she had a strop about the doctor ordering bloods - she didn't agree I needed them but was all like "well, she's the doctor so I will just have to". NMFP! No use shouting at me about it. I'm feeling deeply uncared for by the NHS. And they're supposed to be all worried about my history of going mental depression - I wouldn't confide in anyone who's dealt with me through the miscarriage or this pregnancy if I was having problems. Hmm.

On a lighter note, I am sat in living room shivering with all the windows open. My farts this afternoon are unbearable even to me....Blush it really is a good job I'm wfh.

Niffertiti · 28/07/2015 17:12

chat, just realised when you said make sure DH us well-versed you might have meant in emergency birth rather than in how to get to hospital? Hadn't even occurred to me... I strongly suspect 'panic and faint' might overcome even the best training but I will ensure he knows the basics of what to do with a labouring woman... Shock

ChatEnOeuf · 28/07/2015 17:17

Bit of both would be a good plan Niff! I do go quickly - and I have no family history to have made it predictable either - you just never know.

MollyBloomYes · 28/07/2015 17:32

Niff that's really rubbish I'm sorry you're feeling uncared for. A good mw can make all the difference so I hope 'yours' makes an appearance soon and is lovely!

Ga maybe you've got a whopper! However don't they say take those measurements and growth scans with pinch of salt as can be a bit subjective? Ds was 'probably heading towards' 8lbs on a growth scan. Then all 9lb 13 of him got pulled out of me Confused how big was your dd? Maybe you've just got lots of fluid in there?

CountryGal4 · 28/07/2015 17:46

carrot 27 dc#1 edd based on ov march 17th need anything else?

Thanks pet

gaggiagirl · 28/07/2015 17:47

molly DD was nearly 9lb so I expect this baby to be a similar weight. It could be fluid I suppose. Now all those crazies at work will feel smug..... Bastards!

jellypi3 · 28/07/2015 17:48

I'll update my stats when I get home.

la hope you are ok and getting lots of well deserved rest.

Right, what pregnancy pillows do people recommend? I might buy one this weekend because I'm currently stealing dp's pillow and shoving it between my legs.

MrsTattoo · 28/07/2015 17:58

I'm not sure on actual pregnancy pillows at the moment jelly but Littlewoods have V shape pillows with a case for £11 at the moment and free delivery - I have 2 new ones on order for myself as DH has stolen mine!

MollyBloomYes · 28/07/2015 18:12

Ugh ga nothing worse than inadvertently proving people right!

teejayem · 28/07/2015 18:44

I bought two of these - under six quid with delivery and washable. I use them for feeding now too, plus I used them to make a valley cushion so I didn't directly sit on my foof arts and crafts after delivery... and they have been soaked in boobmilk and chucked in the machine over and over again. The cases are also on Amazon for cheeps. They aren't super firm, but I've def got my money's worth.

Tiny tee weighed today, he is 7 weeks tomorrow Shock and nearly 11lb... The boy has hollow legs, he just does not stop eating!

Indigoblue2 · 28/07/2015 19:01

7 weeks?! No actual way.

SecondCupOfTea · 28/07/2015 19:05

Viroid input needed:

I received my booking details at the weekend and my appointment is mid August when I'll be 11+4 (my GP said that is normal for the hospital I've chosen). I'm expecting a standard booking appointment, and indeed to FAQ sheet included with the letter states very clearly that you do not have a scan at the booking appointment. However, the covering letter says:

"...do not cancel or rearrange this appointment. It has been arranged at this time as it is the appropriate time to complete some tests in early pregnancy. This particularly applies to assessment of risk of Downs syndrome, where testing can be best performed between 11 and 13 weeks..."

If it's not a scan then what screening for Downs happens between weeks 11 and 13? The letter goes on to say again that there is no scan at this appointment and that combined testing will be offered at a later date.

It also says allow 3 hours for the booking appointment Shock

Does this sound anything like anyone else's experience?

No idea why I'm getting ahead of myself though, still have my private scan to get through first Hmm

rdm10 · 28/07/2015 19:06

Thanks carrot

Great news would

Can't wait for GBBO. Always makes me wish I was a master baker but I'm really only any good at the eating part!

Had my 25 wk check, baby is measuring 28 weeks so being sent for glucose test tomorrow. Maybe we're just destined to have gigantic babies, right ga??

Indigoblue2 · 28/07/2015 19:08

ga don't tell them, tell them you're measuring small. That's what I'd do.

Purpleball · 28/07/2015 19:08

Jelly I have a dream genii. I love it. La and dulcet had them too

My MW has so far been a bit ineffective but I'm consultant led. I do need to see her about birth plans though.

Purplebaby is still breech, he has been for 6 weeks now. Doubt he will turn around now there wasn't much room in there! So even if I did go into labour before section date I would still be having a section.

DH is away tonight. This happens once a year. I'm feeling a bit needy with the house to myself. I might get a better night sleep though :-)

Purpleball · 28/07/2015 19:09

Big is best Rdm Smile we're above the 90th centile, measuring a few weeks ahead too

CountryGal4 · 28/07/2015 19:12

tea that sounds weird! My booking app was told had to be around 8 weeks organised it all over the phone. Not had any info on what they'll be testing though

mrs did you book yours over the phone? It's just I haven't had confirmation via post and don't know whether I should be expecting it?

honeysucklejasmine · 28/07/2015 19:13

Tea it's likely that your trust do blood tests for downs syndrome. They need to be done in that time frame.

pretzelpieces · 28/07/2015 19:16

Great news would and what a badass due date!

I've never since gbbo either. Shock

tea I had booking appt at 8 weeks, down's syndrome blood test at MW appt at 11 weeks, which they then put together with info from my scan at 12 weeks (and gave me the results at the scan). Hope that helps.

pretzelpieces · 28/07/2015 19:17

Seen, not since. I'm SO TIRED

gaggiagirl · 28/07/2015 19:19

second I think that refers to the downs blood test. I declined downs screening so I'm not really sure how it works.
