Hi! Anyone else around yet who's expecting in April 2016? I've searched Mumsnet but can't find a thread- apologies if I've missed it. Just got my BFP today due date would be 2nd April (so the NHS website tells me). Would be great to have company on this journey!!

Woundbobbin, I cried my eyes out whilst watching Beethoven (the movie about a dog) with DD the other day. She had to console me. She's 2, I'm 35 Hmm

Tonight we saw my cousin, who's a professional singer, perform at a charity event we were all involved in. I balled through her first 3 numbers Blush

Is anyone else freezing cold in the evenings?? I've been like it all week, but only at night - is it the pregnancy? Is it just me?? Confused

Athousandtrees · 01/08/2015 22:37

Yes I've been freezing and knackered every night. I assume its pregnancy related.
Just had my first pretend not to be pregnant party! Stuck it for a few hours and have left dh to it!
Sitting slurping decaf tea with heating roaring. Bliss.

LaPampa · 01/08/2015 23:07

We are off on hols tomorrow & I'm hoping all will be well whilst we are away. Also a bit irritated that I am so bloated I can't get my jeans on & I won't be able to have wine or coffee on hols. Seems my body is already changing shape in some way and it's only 4 weeks.

BowBelle81 · 02/08/2015 00:59

Hi, can I join you? Just found out I am 4 weeks and 5 days with my first, and according to pregancy+ due date is April 4th. We were trying so it's a planned baby (and a v much wanted one!) but I'm slightly surprised at how much I'm freaking out. My other half is calmer but also a bit "oh f* it's actually happening..."! It's been great to read through the thread and be reminded that there are loads of others at the same stage, and see all the advice from some more experienced heads :-)

Mummyofonesofar · 02/08/2015 08:09

Hi everyone. Got my bfp on 25th. Due 4th April, 5 weeks tomorrow! Or going by my ov date due 8th April. But will stick to LMP. I had a mc in May at 8 weeks, this was month 5 TTC (second month after mc). Nervous but excited! Experiencing some nausea but no sickness yet. Very very tired but can't sleep past 6 ATM. Yawn!!

Mummyofonesofar · 02/08/2015 08:10

And this is baby #2. We have a nearly 7 yo.

louwn · 02/08/2015 09:26

I am off to a BBQ today but as it is Sunday there is always the driving excuse, I think coming up with excuses for a couple of months can be quite hard! Ps I cried at mamma mia too but would have done that if I wasn't pregnant I think...!

AvaAmulet · 02/08/2015 09:27

Thanks Athousandtrees (stereophonics fan?) I'm super tired in the evenings too, and want to settle down for bed before my 2 yo! Shock

LaPampa, I've been there with the bloating with DD on holiday. We'd booked an amazing holiday to Niagara Falls, which was to be our last blow out holiday before we had kids and could never afford to do it again I got pregnant with DD unexpectedly, first month of trying, so by the time we were going away I was 8 weeks pg and in agony. I had heartburn and was so tired I couldn't bring myself to pack until the night before (I'm super organised usually) and I was crying whilst packing, then crying on the plane. I was bloated so my jeans I packed didn't fit and spent all week wearing the 2 pairs of sweat bottoms I'd bought for the flights. My sickness had kicked in a couple of weeks before so I couldn't eat or even smell anything without heaving. Needless to say, I'm not one of these 'beautiful, glowing' women during pregnancy lol Blush

Congratulations Bow & Mummy Grin

meganlilly89 · 02/08/2015 09:41

Survived a family wedding last night. I had lost a coin toss with dh and was driving lol and luckily dd was ready for bed by 9.30pm so we could sneak away!

Hope everyone is feeling ok!

ComeLuckyApril · 02/08/2015 09:51

I've been really cold at random times too. And really warm at others. When I checked, my body temperature was higher than usual (which is good, my temp is weirdly low normally).

Still feeling sick, but figured out it helps to keep snacking, especially on salty things. I read somewhere that people who get motion sickness are more likely to get sick earlier, so I guess that explains it.

Issie339 · 02/08/2015 10:06

Ooh I've been really cold all the time too, didn't think that it could be pregnancy related but I guess it is!

No nausea for me yet thank goodness, I have a horrible train/tube commute in London for work so it's torture when I'm feeling sick- I remember it very well from last time! Sad

I'm 5 wks +1 today and Pregnancy+ app tells me the baby's heart starts beating this week SmileShock

Welcome to all the new people!!

Just quickly popping me head in waves. April Fool's baby expected here. Hurray!
I'll drop in more regularly once we've had our first scan at seven weeks and know all is well dead nervous, and get to know you all better. It'll be our second (DC is 16months) and we've been trying since October 2014 so high time. We're decrepid old hence the rush.
Blood hcg levels, for those in the know I honestly have no idea? Please enlighten? were 50 at 11dpo, 142 at 13dpo, and 5106 at 21dpo. Hope that bodes well. No real symptoms except sore boobs, a few headaches, a bit off my food and panicking everyday I will forgot to take my progesterone and doom the pregnancy!

MsGlitterJunkie · 02/08/2015 10:44

Morning all! Fell off the radar for a few days but glad to see we're all doing well and hello and congratulations to all the newbies Smile

I'm absolutely shattered at the end of the day and have been feeling decidedly chilly, was just wondering if that's normal so v glad to see I'm not the only one!

I've been looking at options for getting away for some sun for 10 days as a babymoon, my birthday is in Feb so was hoping to get away then but I think that's too late isn't it? Now wondering if going away over Christmas might be more sensible!

MsGlitterJunkie · 02/08/2015 10:48

Auf, I'm hoping to have my first scan at 7 weeks too, trying not to think about! I've decided not to have my HCG tested as last time it was incredibly stressful - long story but I genuinely don't want to go through that again! Totally understand how reassuring it can be though, your numbers are more than doubling every 48 hours by the looks of things so this is very positive news indeed!

Drheb · 02/08/2015 11:15

Hi new girls, and hope everyone is doing ok!
I've been feeling colder than usual as well, but I thought that might have been the cold which I have, and which is annoyingly lingering for far too long. Feeling a bit tied so far, sore breasts but apart from that pretty much as usual. Telling parents next weekend so we are going down there and I don't want to lie about not drinking and various other things. Although I still can't really believe there is something in there!

meganlilly89 · 02/08/2015 13:27

I also have booked a scan for when I'm 7 weeks! Two weeks to go. Hoping it flys by! X

Mummyofonesofar · 02/08/2015 16:08

Getting hot and cold randomly, really sore breasts, which have gone up 2 cup sizes Blush no sickness yet but very bloated and windy here. And very thirsty!!

Athousandtrees · 02/08/2015 20:16

Yes ava how'd you guess!?
Though that's another pretend not to be pregnant event, have stereophonics tickets for later in the month!

AvaAmulet · 02/08/2015 21:13

Athousandtrees, 'word gets around' takes me right back to the summer of 1997, when I was 17, and I got to meet the band as they were doing a signing at our local virgin store. Stuart Cable RIP fancied my friend and I've still got the signed CD. Randomly, another friend of mine was looking at buying Kelly's former home last year Shock I'm Welsh btw Grin

Good luck with pretending to be normal/not pregnant on your night out. It was so hard not to blurt out, during my cousin's gig yesterday, that the tears were pregnancy-hormone-related and not because the song 'human' moves me to tears... Blush I don't drink, so everyone knew it wasn't alcohol-induced - I cannot wait to tell everyone "See, That's why I got through a pack of tissues three songs in..." It's not my normal state... Hmm Grin

Anyway, I'm in my winter socks tonight, even after the blazing hot day we've had, and my toes are still like ice Confused glad it's not just me Wink

Mummyofonesofar · 03/08/2015 10:18

Morning! Do we have a stats sheet yet?

Athousandtrees · 03/08/2015 12:50

I'm pretty rubbish at the pretending tbh. That's why I headed home early on Saturday night and left dh to it! Though he rocked in at 5am blocked and I did feel like slipping a pillow over his face!

I've been feeling pretty crap the last two days, I don't remember feeling like this with ds1. I wonder if its a girl this time?!

Have MW appointment on Wed, though my MW only works Wednesdays between 10 and 1300hrs, so have to make an excuse for work!

AvaAmulet · 03/08/2015 13:21

Nausea and sore boobs have now started for me, almost at exactly the same stage as last time with DD. If this pregnancy follows the same pattern as the last one I'm going to be very scarce on here and offline vomiting, a lot pretty soon Shock

Dollface136 · 03/08/2015 13:25

I don't seem to be having any nausea yet, though emotional definitely. Every time some arse at work stresses me out I either want to cry or punch them in the face and shout "stop stressing my baby!!!" haha

Just told my GP today and he has referred my for my booking in appointment at Kingston Hospital. Exciting! However also super nervous that I wont make it to 12 weeks eeeek!

waxweasel · 03/08/2015 13:35

Sorry to hear the nausea has kicked in already Ava. I was really sick with DD too so hoping it's not as bad this time...think it kicked in about 6-7 weeks in.

I'm just feeling really exhausted, as if I have a virus, and getting really awful dizzy spells whenever I get up/do anything remotely active/even look up. I've almost passed out a few times. Apparently it's normal but I don't remember it with DD, and am really hoping it passes soon as it's making chasing round after a 2 year old really difficult. I feel like a big lazy blob who's letting her down :(

waxweasel · 03/08/2015 13:54

On the plus side - DD is insanely excited about her 'tiny best friend baby sister'. I just called nursery to check on her (it's her first day settling in) and her room leader said 'oh DD was just telling us all about how you're pregnant and she's having a sister! Congratulations!'. I fear that it won't stay secret for long....!
