Hi! Anyone else around yet who's expecting in April 2016? I've searched Mumsnet but can't find a thread- apologies if I've missed it. Just got my BFP today due date would be 2nd April (so the NHS website tells me). Would be great to have company on this journey!!

Morning all, survived my first sober concert last night! We met up with friends and I think one couple sussed it but were kind enough not to be too enquiring, having scan next Friday then if all's good I'll tell them and listen to the I knew comments!!!
6hours standing up though really knackered me and I got strange stitch like feeling on the bump? anyone had anything similar?
My mum had ds last night, feels weirdly quiet in the house not hungover but no crazy childvrunning about!

Cotton sock I have awful hunger pains then I eat then I have awful full pains... Then wind Confused.... Akways wakes me up in the night with bad ache... Other than that I'm bloated with very sore boobs no MS whatsoever ... Hope that helps I'm 6+1 Smile

Had my usual glass of water this morning and was actually sick for the first time today. Have been exhausted for the past few days. I get the hunger pains too and then the bloatedness.

Got my booking in appointment through the post yesterday and scan date came today. Booking in appointment will be on 21/09 when I'll be 11+4 and scan is on 23/09 at 11+6.

cotton and ashboo my symptoms are very similar to you! Glad I'm not the only one without sickness! Although I feel for those who have! Now time for my holiday, this will be interesting. Fx for no sickness!

Hello, is there room for another here? I'm still in shock after getting a BFP on Thursday and joining in will hopefully make it all seem real! Congratulations to everyone here.
This will be no4 for us. I'm 38 (gulp, feeling old) and our eldest is 9, youngest is 5 so thought we were done with babies and just last year gave all our baby stuff away - sods law!
Starting to sink in now and I'm seeing cute babies everywhere !!
EDD is 28th April which seems a long way away just now!

Ashboo - Ooh, hope baby arrives before your birthday! I was heavily pregnant and really sick on my 30th!! I have a week after due date before my birthday too :)

Rinnyx this will be our 4th and definitely our last!
I feel so sick today , also have the sore boobs, horrid metallic taste in mouth, sore head and tiredness- Eurgh, hope it passes by 12 wks
How unfair that we get the worst symptoms when we're keeping it quiet! Hope everyone is feeling ok x

I'm so bloated I'm sure work will guess this week Confused all other clothes are easy to disguise so far.

Sunday lunch out tomo with my dad brother and sil ... I'm pretending I'm hungover this time ... The lies are so bad Smile... Dad said nooo I'll drive you can have a drink ... Gee thanks dad Blush

I bet you feel it more than you look! Ooh, the lies! I'm out with friends tomorrow and had to say I'm on the wagon on a new diet - I fear they won't believe me ( I do enjoy a cocktail) Bless your Dad!

Hey everyone,

Thanks Dizzy and Sophia I went to Boots today and picked up a folic acid and Vit D combo. I went to Waterstones as well and bought the Penguin Book of Baby Names, Expecting Better and a fill in journal thing called Parenthood Listography. I feel like I am tempting fate by buying this stuff due to the mc last year, but I am determined to keep this one!

I am feeling a bit funny about food recently... starving one minute but generally not hungry at all during the day, which is very very strange for me!

I am having pains down there though and panicking a bit. Has anyone else had them? A bit like period cramps?

Hello folks. I finally got my BFP after too may years trying. I am only 4w 3d so very early on and due 27 April 2016. I have told immediate family and that is it. I have done 4 tests and still can't quite believe it. Right now I have slight cramps and uncomfortable b??bs. Just desperate for scan to make sure everything is ok.

Rinnyx this is no 3 for us. And will be our last Hmm I'm 34 and dh needed a little persuading to try for no 3. So pleased he came round Grin

Aw Feefee congratulations! You are almost the same as me for dates. Will you get an early scan?
TwllBach I'be been having lots of cramping ,pulling feelings, much more than I've had before and they started over a week ago and had stabbing pains down there too!

Thanks dontfearthesleeper (love the name btw). This is our first and it was with Ivf so luckily I will get an early scan anyway. They said it will be at 8 weeks. I can't wait.

Thanks dontfear I have to confess to calling the OOH doctor earlier! The triage nurse said that she had felt like I had for three weeks with each pregnancy, basically like she was starting her period. I felt so much better after talking to her... I apologised for wasting her time and she said not to worry at all and that it's a scary time but totally worth it GrinGrin

TwllBach I had cramps that felt exactly like period pains from about 5 days after ovulation, and they've only started easing off now (towards 7w). I had stabbing pains too - all totally normal apparently.

Hello - can I possibly join in too? I am probably one of the oldest (40/41 depending how late it will be) and this is my first... Still in the combination of disbelief, fear and shock (very happy as well!) - if it wasn't for the constant feeling of nausea, metallic taste in my mouth, sore boobs and loosing all appetite I could think I was imaging it all...

I am having stomach cramps blondie...like you are going to start your period? Unfortunately for me that comes hand in hand with bowel issues Blush

I had my first 'night out' knowing I was pregnant last night! It was a stag/hen do for DP's friends that I've never met before and they were all very drunk, but it was nice. I was already shattered because I wasn't meeting them till 10.15 and then they all asked for lifts home because I was driving... didn't get to bed till 2 and was up at 6.30 for work now. TIRED!!!

Just - just like that! Keep worrying but trying not to google too much!

I had to have supper with friends (used the "am on antibiotics" line - not sure it worked!) and for some reason woke up at 630 even though am shattered... Not complaining though - just realise how lucky I am...
